Two female singers, both with huge fan bases seemed to have recorded the same song, which has caused a slightly heated debate online on whether or not one is better than the other.
Beyonce’s version of the track, “Slow Love,” produced by Stargate, leaked a couple of weeks ago, and shortly after, a version with Brandy’s vocals surfaced.
In my opinion, the song isn’t all that great enough for this to even be an issue. The song seems a little hollow, and unfinished, hence why both ladies left it off of their albums, I Am… Sasha Fierce and Human, which are both out in stores.

Beyonce is great, don’t get me wrong but they have two totally different voices.
Just because an artist doesn’t have Crazy Marketing and Promotion, dosen’t mean they don’t have a fan base. (i.e. Amel Larrieux, Jill Scott……you get my point)

As soon as Brandy’s version came on I knew it was better! Beyonce’s version sounded boring and lazy…Don’t get it twisted Brandy was the original “IT” girl. It’s sad that the industry just moves on to the next and tries to forget but her talent is undeniable! The tone was perfect, emotions were there and the Ad libs were on point! Thats for the people that real music…There’s a reason why the 90′s had better music they had better talent!

I agree, as soon as I heard Brandy’s voice, I knew she had it. I didn’t really feel the song when Beyonce was singing it but Brandy’s version had my head bobbin’. Both talented ladies but Brandy all the way.

I think both ladies sound great voice-wise. I think the SONG itself is a lil boring for either one. It does have PRODUCTION that is more Brandy’s speed.

First, the production on the song is lackluster at best. Nothing really stands out about the track so the vocalists had to do all the work to even give the track a faint pulse. Secondly, I think Brandy did a better job. Those are the types of tracks she’s been singing to for the last few albums. I wish she would go back to the type of tracks from her first 2 albums. They definitely had way more soul. However, I still am a fan and have all her albums. I love Beyonce as a vocalist as well, she has a real gift.
