AWARENESS: THE MARY J. BLIGE CENTER FOR WOMEN GRAND OPENING

Mary J. Blige and Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN) co-creator Steve Stoute address the public during the opening of the Mary J. Blige Center for Women on Thursday in Yonkers, New York.

The Center is the first of its kind and serves as a pilot program for what FFAWN hopes will be similar centers in communities in need across the country.

  7. Miss SayitStr8

I’m just wondering why all celebs feel the need to put their name on charitable foundations.

    • duhhaveu no commonsense

Celebrity names draw attention to the foundation. Its like the Humane Society redressed in Versace. Who doesn’t want to participate now that its labeled? Anyway, what does it matter as long as the cause and purpose reaches the beneficiaries?

  8. DivaJr.

Very good MJB! She really is killing the blazer!

  9. Kyla

Good “cause” I guess but Mary really needs to get rid of the wig .. it’s ugly and is not doing anything for her.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang! Mary J. Blige has come a long way from “What’s the 411?” & “My Life” Who would have thought in a millions years…..not I.

Side Note: “What’s the 411?” is a top 5 all time favorite!

  29. JUDAH

When is this demon going to be honest with the world and come out of the closet as a massive l*sbian lol? The white man does not allow people like her to establish “foundations” and put her name on any institutions unless you are a l*sbian. Honestly, this “fe-male” is clearly a dyke. To show you how much hate she has for men, black men in particular, she will open a center for the “advancement” of women? What does that even mean? Advance them over who? Certainly not the white man because that is her sponsor. She has the white man standing over her right shoulder making sure that she pushes the feminist doctrine that is sure to destroy more households. This is why they are going to start these institutions and spread them nationwide, so they can infiltrate the minds of these black girls from their youth upward. Then you have this casaba melon head negro, Steve Stoute. Obviously a closet h*mosexual, as all these black record executives are, especially to be behind an organization like this. He and Diddy were probably having a lover’s quarrel when that champagne bottle got cracked over his head. I feel sorry for the bottle.

The name of the foundation and it’s emblem should show those who pay attention who and what the inspiration is behind it’s genesis, and what it’s goals are. “FAWN” is a name for the woodland god, “Pan”, who is the Greek goat-god a.k.a the Baphomet. This is why there is a backward “F” and then a forward “F” in the name of the so-called “foundation”. According to the Hermetic doctrine, the backwards and forwards in tandem represent the “As Above So Below” principle i.e. the two-faced gods Janus, Agni, etc. Mary J. Blige is a satanist and definitely a damn l*sbian. She’s munched so much carpet, she’s even put a blonde one on her head.

  31. LOVEY DOVEY

MARY IS DOING SOMETHING POSITIVE TO HELP THE COMMUNITY AND ALL Y’ALL CAN DO IS CLOWN HER ABOUT HER WIG?
AND ON A RIHANNA POST YOU WILL SAY IT’S NOT ABOUT THE WAY A CELEB DRESSES..IT’S ABOUT THEIR TALENT…BULLSH!T.

  32. LOL @ the wig comments, she look fine to me. Lord knows she has helped some women with her music.

  33. D. Mack

  38. Sabrina Scott

I never had a female role model in my life, and, at age 47, I finally do, and Mary it is YOU!!!! I watched your “Behind The Music” on VH1 this evening and WOW! I cried some tears of sadness, some of elation. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU! Keep shining! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT!

  39. Mariela

I’m so happy to see how much love and care Mary has for women. I’m a work in progress myself. I’m learning to love myself first in foremost God loves me.

  40. Tamara Jackson

I feel like a fawn hunted by a pack of lions at home and when I walk out the door. I get neglected and abandoned by my immediate family members and then get sexually harassed by men in public places and other settings. I just want to be safe and not verbally abused financially abused or physically abused by male or female or authorities. I am an only child with no close friends so I’m isolated and withdrawn from a normal use and purpose.

  41. Shari Morgan

I am so inspired by Mary. I am in the beginning process of starting my own foundation for Women, to empower, encourage and inspire them to become who they want to be. Many women forget to take care of themselves due to being workers, mothers, wives and spread thin in their daily lives. Some dont have the means to. My foundation will help provide those means to give women time to regroup and learn that they too are importanat and need to have that time to take care of themselve. With out it they cant give it.. God Bless

    • Beverly F. Smith

I just watched some of Mary’s life story on vh1 & was in tears throughout the entire story… This woman has truly been through some thang & my heart went out to her as i listened to her & saw the pain as she shared some of the tragedy in her time. I remember being an early teen listening & singing songs from the my life album as I struggled with being molested by my family members & my addict mothers friends… Suicidal thoughts/attempts became a normal factor but i got through them! However, at the end of her story they talked about fawn & so i instantly googled it because I’ve been trying to find help for me & my children but for some reason this seems like a dead end! I had to post a comment tho and im praying this will somehow find its way to her…
The cruel, hatred & immature comments instantly caught my attention & immediately touched my soul because I’ll never understand y people always search for & find flaws in everything folks try to do??? Mary, I love u & commend you for all that youve endured, accomplished & are. Doing… If she wants to wear a bag on her hair then dammit its her perogative!!! To call her names & criticize seems so immature & petty but to each its own!! I hope shes not affected by others ignorance!!! Mary you & your music have inspired me & I’m sure plenty others… Keep prospering strong beautiful black woman. I only pray this message will reach out to you. Be Blessed!!!!!!!!
