I am the sort of chick who keeps it old school. I listen to Aretha, Gladys, Al Green, Marvin etc most of the time. The more modern artists I like are Alicia Keys, Angie Stone, Erykah Badu, D’Angelo. The pop/r&b crossover stuff is not my thing. So with that in mind I have to say that neither Rihanna or Beyonce are my kind of thing. But having seen them both perform I have to say that while Beyonce is too “pop” for me, the sistah is very talented indeed - her dancing skills are crazy and she has a really pretty voice. Plus, let’s be real, she is mad beautiful. Rihanna on the other hand has shown no dancing ability at all so far. Her voice is decidedly unpleasant and off-key and just generally bad. Rihanna is not original, not a fashionista nor is she innovative because everything shes doing is being done now by other female artists. Rihanna is not ahead of the fashion or music game.

It’s gonna be interestin’, I’m glad that her single hasn’t leaked yet, becuz a lot of time, artist’s singles be leaked all the time, and even tho’ some of their leaked singles
be hot, part of me is kinda sad 4 the artist, becuz they would be be puttin’ so much work in their time of recordin’, & outta nowhere some hacker or somebody would leak their songs. U kno, wouldn’t that piss u off?. But I’m kinda curious 2 see what rihanna gonna do, u gotta admit, even her voice ain’t the best, the songs that she do put out is catchy & most of the time, her voice matches it.
