Beyonce arrives at Billboard’s 4th Annual Women In Music event at The Pierre Hotel on Friday (October 2nd) in New York City.
Billboard announced back in August that multi award-winning artist would accept the coveted Woman Of The Year Award. Check out a recap of the event below:
Werde then introduced Billboard’s 2009 Woman of the Year recipient. “It is theoretically possible someone on some other planet had a better year than Beyonce,” he quipped. “But I’m not buying it.”
“It’s obvious how classy she is,” Werde said as he introduced Beyonce, who was accompanied by her mother and father, Matthew and Tina Knowles, and Michelle Williams from Destiny’s Child. Beyonce accepted the award, remarking “I am the luckiest woman in the world.”
Beyonce then took the hot seat alongside radio personality and Oprah’s best friend, Gayle King, for a Q&A during which she was probed about her relationship with husband Jay-Z, her position as a role model for young women, and her goals for the future. “I really want to win an Oscar,” she revealed. Beyonce is a cute and talented girl, but dam she isn’t the only one! The only thing that make Beyonce stays out is that she forever in the spotlight and her daddy promoted her VERY VERY WELL. Tamia, Melanie Fiona, and Monica are some cute girls who can sing just as good or even better than Beyonce. The only thing different is that they get attention for their voice only while beyonce gets attemtion for dancing, singing , and popping! None of the above young ladies are on drugs or half naked all of the time during their performance. I like Beyonce,but you all act like she is the ONLY person who is goregous and can sing. I like Rihanna too, but she is another one who is overhyped too.
She looks beautiful. I like the outfit and more natural look. SHe may wear weave all the time but I don’t blame her for protecting her real hair. She could cause so much wear and tear on it from all the touring and etc. She probably have a healthy full of hair under that wig like Tyra did.
She deserves the billboard acknowledgement. She may be overrated to some and maybe is a diva (although she seems geniuenly nice to me). But she is talented and a hard worker. Hate or Love her, she is on top and it is what it is. She isn’t necessarily my fav artist but I like her music and performances. I’m not saying she’s the only talented person but I just respect her hustle and what she has accomplished as an artist.

The way some people comment on this site, you would think they worship celebrities. They feel oblige to come to their rescue if anyone is critical. Beyonce is a great talent and a great individual with flaws. Thank God she has flaws, else we might end up having a church of Beyonce. She is a great performer, singer, person, wife, family member and friend. She works very hard and try to live an exemplary life.
Her flaws are that she sometimes take complete credit for work she barely created, She dances like a stripper, some of her songs are vulgar, as you can see in the last picture here she has wrinkle around her mouth at an early age and she breaks out. When she is not performing and she talks, she doesn’t seem confident or smart. She sometimes give a vibe that seems stand offish and fake. She is not the only celebrity like that, Rihanna has many flaws to, but this post is about Beyonce.
All in all she sleeps well at night because she has talent, a loving family, money and a career. So God bless her.

How could she not have some success when she’s had nothing to overcome? Britney is from a working class family and she turned her humble beginnings into a massive empire. Rihanna must have done something to some of these people making comments about a Beyonce story. Rihanna is getting paid for what she does good or bad. She doesn’t talk bad about anyone. I love both her and Beyonce because as black women we need to have strong representation in the music and entertainment business, your not helping. Yes Beyonce is a mega star more than Rihanna, but you have to give some credit to Rihanna who does not have the kind of support network Beyonce has. I am proud of both women.
At the end of the day neither of them pays your bills, so why go so crazy talking like you don’t have more important things in your life to do.
