When it comes to performing, they r washed up. PERIOD. They could do some acting, writing, producing or other behind the scene stuff. I do believe they have something left to offer. This young, black generation has it so twisted. You never hear the 35+ crew talking about how washed up George Clinton (Parliament), Bootsy Collins, Teena Marie, Anita Baker, Sade or perhaps ANYBODY from their time are. They pay homage to the greats who may have already seen their peek, go out to their shows and support them because they MADE great music in the past.

They don’t go around talking about how washed up they are and how they need to sit their asses down. If you watch any of the videos from that performance, the crowd (of mostly white people), were going crazy. When TLC was out, they were killin EVERY female group in sight. Don’t discredit their legacy by being disrespectful. Pay homage.

I don’t know what you meant by your statement about TLC not being a “Powerful Successful Group” because they were. Check their resume. They have sold 50 Million recordings worldwide. Two of their albums have sold 12+ million each around the world. “No Scrubs” broke radio play records and every girl group that has came out has stated TLC was their main influence (including Destiny’s Child). They are legends and not have only broke down doors for girl groups, but have opened the doors for many of our R&B/Pop acts that we see today.

And you claiming they were not able to stem from their “FUN” image? What was “Waterfalls”, “Unpretty” and “Damaged” all about? They were all hits and discussed real issues that we have in today’s society and they will always be remembered for not only being fun artist but being artist who wrote songs that had a great message. Nearly 15 years later and “Waterfalls” is still being played on the radio and on TV.

It’s definitely not the same w/o Left Eye, everyone knows that including T-Boz and Chilli. But at the same time these two women are very talented and getting older doesn’t mean to go sit down somewhere. This is what artist do when there past their “glory” days. They tour. TLC was (and probably still is) the biggest female group of all time (i don’t believe that DC numbers alone out sold them). But even if they did, TLC was not a cookie cutter group that was put together (not say DC is), these girls was real, talent was raw, and they’re the reason you the generation after them had DC. I love these girls and always will. I respect chilli for trying to stay as fit as possible. But, this is not a good look; the outfit. It really isn’t. As we age we have to change, period. Ok, let’s just be real. TLC was and still is one of the greatest R&B girl groups of all time!!! I grew up listening to some of their music. The music from them that I didn’t know about, I have found out about now, and really appreciate it. Not all of us “youngsters” think anyone over the age of 30 is washed up either. Hey, I’m only 17 and I LOVE LOVE LOVE listening to the old school R&B and rap…IMO, alot of those artists are wayy better than the ones today. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE most of the music today too, but I still think music back in the late 80s - 90s is still better. TLC looks great in these photos and it is nice to know that they are still doing their thing.
