It’s funny how 2 sided people can be. Everyone was bashing Michael Jackson, I mean everyone, nobody was checking for his music, and when he died, jus about everyone cried and acted as if though they always had nothing but love for the man I will admit, those were so crazy things that were accused about him and I did accuse him as well because of statements he made about sleeping with little children in his bed, but I did admit that he made some excellet songs I just don’t know what really went on and happened to his soul when he passed. Anyway, people who are still on it really are so stupid and petty. Rihanna has been over it for how long? She was the one in the incident, not y’all, so why are y’all still worried about it if she isn’t? He wasn’t allowed to mention what she did or why the incident happened, and y’all don’t know what tantrums she threw with him throughout the relationship, so why are y’all acting like he did it just to do it. Obviously, if he never hit a woman before that incident, never was involved with alcohol or drugs, but blew up, she did something whether it was slap him or get in his face to make him act the way he did. You just don’t blow up just to blow up for no reason if you are the type of person who keep your cool.
I really dn’t care for songs like these, but this song has nice instruments and it fits his voice. I hope that he doesn’t put this song on the album, because it would seem pathetic.

I like to think that he didn’t want her to suffer any further repecution for the things that he took to the extreme. I like to think that he realized that his love for her meant keeping his mouth shut, if he is to ever have another chance with her.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t agree with a man “blowing up” on a woman, no matter how cool and calm he has been in the past. Zero tolerance for a man hitting a woman…unless he catches her under the sheet with the mailman! It don’t matter if a woman throws a tantrum in a relationship. His first single back in 2005 debuted at No.1 and he broke a record being the FIRST male R&b artist to have his first single debut at No. 1. He was also nominated for a Grammy for that song as well as Best New Artist the same year! His second No. 1 single, ‘Kiss, Kiss’ was also nominated for as Grammy (it was actually in the same category as Rihanna’s Umbrella which of course she won) He was nominated THIS year for best collab with Jordan Sparks for ‘No Air’ and also for best male vocal performance for “Take You Down”. He has been nominated CONSISTENTLY for a Grammy since his debut in 2005 and he has only released two albums. Grammies are considered the highest honor in music so I guess it is safe to say he has made his mark in the industry!
He won ARTIST OF THE YEAR in 2008 at the AMA’s as well as two other awards that night! To this day he has won 29 awards total to date including AMA’s, WMA’s, People’s Choice awards, Teen Choice awards, BET, and MTV awards to name a few! That is not bad for someone who has only been in the business four short years! ALL except for three of his single he has released has made it into the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100!! Not to mention the singles that he was featured on with other artist!
“Forever’ which he also wrote was a WORLDWIDE hit topped the Billboad Hot 100 at No.2 and was No. 1 in Ireland and New Zealand and has reached top ten status in other countries such as Austrailia, Canada, Turkey, and the UK! So I think it is safe to say he HAS reached international status long before he beat Rihanna’s ass!
He also has been compared to his idol Michael Jackson. Maybe not by YOU, but by heavy weights in the Industry such as Quincy Jones and Clive Davis. They know and have worked with MJ so their opinions carry more weight than yours! CB was personally chosen to perform a tribute to MJ at the WMA’s back on 2006. Which he did and he performed ‘Thriller’ with MJ watching in the audience! MJ himself even spoke with Chris on the phone for his 18th B-Day party (which was featured on the MTV series Sweet 16) MJ has said he admired CB and thought he was a great dancer and performer! CB even announced on Tyra’s talk show that he had plans to work with MJ in the future! CB was even supposed to open up for MJ on the UK leg of his farewell tour! We all know that will never happen now.
CB has also toured with Superstars such as Beyonce and has also headlined a tour of his own in the US which had many SOLD OUT dates! He has SOLD OUT shows in the UK as well! He has been on ALL the major talk shows and morning shows: Tyra, Ellen, Regis & Kelly, The View, and he traveled with Oprah to perform at her school! He performed on the Today Show and Good Morning America as well! He has was in the Blockbuster movie ‘Stomp the Yard’ and also ‘This Christmas’. He has an upcoming movie that he executive produced coming out next year! Trust, HE was the bigger star in the relationship! If you didn’t know who CB was until he started dating princess forehead your ass was living under a rock!
Furthermore Rihanna did not start reaching success until 2007 mostly due in part to her sexy new image! Her fiirst two albums flopped even with hit singles! Won’t no body checking for her when she was singing Regae and rocking lace front weaves! In fact people were saying she was the new Beyonce minus the talent. Her success had nothing to do with talent! She sold out and sexed up her image and changed her whole style and music to appeal to a bigger demograhic (white folks) and it worked! CB always stayed true to his music and his fan base! He has never changed which makes him a true artist!

(although Britney could actually dance) It wasn’t until she chopped off all her hair (took her weave out), mysteriously got ten shades lighter and got some hot songwriters to write all of her ish before she started seeing success! She was lucky The Dream, a hot songwriter, gave ‘Umbrella’ to her cause it was intended for Britney and Mary J. but they both turned it down! Dream didn’t really think the song was write for hear and she had to fight for it! Her third album GGGB did poorly initially even with the sucess of ‘Umbrella’. GGGB didn’t even reach platinum status in the US until damn near TWO YEARS after his release date! She had to repackage it with other songs such as ‘Take a Bow” which was written by Ne Yo another talented songwriter, and then ‘Disturbia’ which was written by none other than…. CB! That song went 5 times platinum and trust, he got a BIG paycheck from that! He wrote that song for himself but later decided it sounded better for a female singer and gave it to Rih, more than likey cause she was his girl at the time! She was lucky that she had hot song writers writing her all her ish cause if not she would have been dropped just like Teairra Mari was! Face it all of her songs were hot but they could have been sung and made hits by any other artist! Her voice is Not that strong! She owes most of her success to her good looks and this superficial ass industry that worhips looks rather than actual talent! Cause on the real, Rihanna has NO TALENT! She is currently the ‘it girl’ of the moment! Best believe that won’t last forever! Looks fade and people move on to the next!

Like I said he was spotted in VA over the weekend at an amusement park smiling with a new girl on his arm. He is happy and moving on! He is getting ready for his upcoming concert in Jersey and his tour following that! He has a lot to look forward too, such as a movie and a new album next year!

Liking or disliking the song, or his music in its entirety is a personal choice and is fine either way. Personally, I like the song and, though I am disgusted with his actions done to Rihanna, I will continue to support his career as well as hers. If people learn to separate an artist’s music from their personal life, then maybe there would be more appreciation for one’s talent that attracted you to him/her. Aside from Chris Brown, I am or was a fan of numerous of other artists who have all made past and present mistakes that I’m not proud of such as Marvin Gaye, T.I., Alicia Keys, the Isley Brothers, Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, Neyo, Bone Thugs ‘N Harmony, R. Kelly, 2Pac, and so forth. Despite their iniquity, their reputation, or their arrest/imprisonment record, it will not overshadow their talent; however, had they disrespected me, personally, or a relative then I’d stop listening to their music. Otherwise, I’d be a hypocrite if I stopped supporting Chris Brown, yet still support and listen to the songs by the latter. If you can cease the resentment you have toward another artist due to his/her actions with similar faults, then what problem are you having with Chris? I’m against all forms of DV and abuse — not just when a man hits a woman — but I refuse to show partiality when it comes to gender so I don’t understand the double-standards being created here.
In addition every one person on Earth is a sinner and has a past — no one is excluded, not even the holier-than-thou individuals posting w/in this topic — and have done things that we all are not proud of. However, we have used or continue to use each experience as a learning tool to teach ourselves and others. So, when a person does wrong, admits his/her iniquity and is taking responsibility for his/her actions, why are some people quick to tear him/her down?
Overall, we all will have to agree to disagree. Some people couldn’t careless about Chris as an artist and as a person which is inevitable; on the other hand, there are some of us who disapprove of his actions but can still enjoy his music.
