Singer/songwriter and Atlanta Housewife, Kandi Burress has released her new single from her upcoming second solo album, B.L.O.G. (out next month) a few weeks ago via her myspace, but here is the full track for your listening pleasure.
If you’ve kept up with Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta, then you’ve seen her perform the single on a couple of episodes.

That song has been on her myspace for ages. It was Brian’s decision to post it. But of course you have your weird ass answers for everything so what can anyone expect? The day that he died you were making predictions.
This song came out months ago…but like it. FYI she was NEVER married to AJ, they were engaged…don’t you people watch the show, geeze.

Hmmmmm. Big Kandi fan. Never really liked Xcape, but loved the stuff she did with her older production partner Shakespeare. I mean No Scrubs and Bills alone are classics, not to mention her song on N’Syncs album, and Pinks first single ever.
Plus her album was supper dope, “Hey Kandi”, the first song on her album was MY SHIT. Shot out to Shakespeare, for being a classy Timbaland clone and developing his own sond somwere inbeetween Rodney Jerkins and Timbo. Hopefully both of them had their paper work right and are seeing some nice checks.
Not digging this song though, the other one she had up a month or so ago was much better.
I like it. Enough said.

This song is fire…. Very Positive message…I for one Love kandi’s voice… People will always have their oppinions, however veryfew are educated or professional.. and in the end we all represent one out of millions. I feel that people are always rooting for someone to fail espicially when they are doing somthing that is un attainable for the other…
@ Judah, same thing i thought.. her husband was groomed to be her Blood sacrifice to the Baphomet/Satan. When I heard he was killed, I knew it would be a matter of time before she was going go forward with her projects. Everyone in the industry knows how its done- it is what it is… But Jesus is Lord and He is returning soon. They better turn from their ways (repent) while they have a chance.
I like the song…I think it has a good message too…sounds like a hit to me.

First of all that was her fiance and they had broken up before he died. And if you were to read it said the song was released on Myspace a few weeks ago (that means 2 or more). He died on the 2nd and it is the 12th so its only been 10 days since he died (that’s 1 week and 3 days). It was Brian who decided to post it since she has been in the news. Things happen for a reason. However it isn’t always the reasons you believe.

Be the vet that you are and do better than this. If this is just some internet leak ish that aint gon make the album then cool but all them instruments that I been hearing on every “black” song for the past 3 and a half years need not be on your track. Sounds like you had some stuff to get off your chest and you are an artist so you did it in song form but please don’t come wid it like dis on da album, your lyrics are actually corny on this song. You know how to express yourself yet sound current, go head do it.

I AGREE. KANDI CAN DO MUCH BETTER THAN THIS. I THINK SHE LET PEOPLE GET TO HER AND FELT THE NEED TO DO THIS SONG. SHE SHOULD JUST IGNORE THE HATERS AND KEEP IT MOVING INSTEAD OF LETTING THEM KNOCK HER OFF OF HER GAME AND RELEASE SOMETHING CORNY LIKE THIS. STILL GOT LOVE FOR YOU KANDI.

I like Kandi.. always have but this song is not where it’s at. I love the message but the tune of the verses don’t match the beat. The beat is sick and when you have a track like that you have to BRING IT. You never want your track to out shine you. The track, vocals and lyrics should all compliment each other.. Come on Kandi I’m waiting for you to do what I know you can do… LETS GET IT!
