Rihanna’s official “Rated R” album cover has hit the net and features her posing with her hand over her eye, alone with a signature ‘R’ in the background. Check out the info:
The Rated R cover was shot by famed photographer Ellen von Unwerth, who says that “Rihanna was looking to create something a bit new for the look of the album.” Von Unwerth goes on to say that Rihanna is “so beautiful, sweet and tough at the same time — and a pleasure to shoot,” adding that she’s “fantastic to work with — very giving, very creative, very involved in every aspect of the shoot, and ready to push the boundaries.” (PopEater)
Rihanna’s new single, “Russian Roulette,” debuted last week and the video is expected to be released on November 6th. We also heard that “The Wait Is Ova” will be her 2nd official single..

LOL at this photo. Nothing special, different, or spectacular. One hand over the eye and an R in the background. If she was going for editorial, it should have been more emotional and raw. This is just a pick of a female with a bunch of dark makeup on, trying to look edgy. She actually looks like a clown. There’s no real HYPE over this chick, at least not yet. Rihanna has gotten so predictable. That first single was made for controversy and it’s sad that you have to rely on gimmicks and tactics to keep your music career. Whether or not the lyrics are as “deep” as her fans claim they are, it’s still a weak and mostly unrelatable song to many. It’s just whatever with this chick.

I know who Grace Jones is and she was doing in the 70′s exactly what Rihanna is doing now……Which is railing against contemporary African American ideals of Style and Art.
