It has been MY experience that people who hold other people in higher regard are usually the biggest liars, cheats. I agree with another poster, there are two sides to every story, in this case there are three. However, these are celebrities and in their world damm near anything goes. We have the choice to support them or drop them as artists. I’m not an Alicia fan, I don’t hate her because of her choice. In the end, she’s gonna have to deal with it. This is a gossip site. I stated my opinion on the matter; plain and simple. In matter of grown folks love triangle, it doesn’t matter. No one was physically abused, molesting children or sleeping with animals. It’s a love triangle.

I usually love your comments and your icon! And you can have your opinions. But My view is that Alicia did not break up any marriage. I think some people just are bored and want to invent things because Alicia’s image is so clean.
But the fact of the matter is that Swizz was separated from his wife before he started seeing Alicia. And whatever the issues are with Swizz and his wife that drama has nothing to do with Alicia. OMG! I finally got to watch the video—-snoozefest. She went nowhere with it and it ended up looking like a low budget projection like The Dream walking on the Moon video. I see some elements of MJ’s billyjean with the wooden tracks but her posing and the supid piano just thrown in there seemed awkwrd and out of place.

The first min of th video in the apartment was ok but it went downhill from there. One more thing, why the hell does she have to keep talking in her videos- her voice is not that pleasant. i like Akeys but the song and video will not get repeat from me.

I don’t think anybody is going to be buying her CD with all this Mashonda stuff going around plus she has officially bored me and lost her touch. Even Whitney had some up-tempos.

If you’ve ever heard her speak, she has proclaimed that she thinks the industry is too “skin based”, and that’s why she does not showcase her body like other female artists do. In the past, she has stated how she does not like to go out to the industry parties so much b/c she was disgusted at the behavior that some of the “famous” men projected… and she was happy she had someone she loved (i assume it’s when she was with her producer, kerry brothers) and didn’t have to deal with that. I believe that was in the issue of Cosmo Girl. All in all, her image that she has had a deal in crafting has been an upstanding woman, classy, and so forth. Not saying that she isn’t any of these things — just that these allegations, sequence of events, and all the other things that have gone on with this scandal contradict what she (or her team) has sold to the masses. And that’s why she is getting so much backlash. Because now all of the things she supposedly stood for, don’t align with her actions.. Thus, now when she sings about these things, they don’t feel as authentic to some people.

Here’s what I find amazing. All the chicks that were once worshiped on this site are now falling off (Beyonce, Alicia, Ciara, Rianna, etc.). I’m not saying they are not still famous, but the hype is not what it use to be. That’s because the music industry made the following mistake: Looks first, talent dead last. When singers were first discovered, they had talent, and then they paid people to work on sex appeal, and image. Now, it’s all about looks first, ability dead last. The reason why so many of these young women are fads is simply because they were mean to be just that a passing light.

I never knew how to explain Beyonce last CD but you did a excellent job at by saying her CD was white girl going soulful. I never was A. Keys fan but I never could deny she is very talented. Wow@ the comments. I would have never imagined majority of the comments be negative about Alicia Keys. I have to agree with most of the comments though, I do not like the song and the video is boring too. I think she needs to evolve, she’s done so many ballads it would be nice if she did more uptempo songs as singles or even an uptempo album. I’m also turned off by the whole Swizz Beats and Mashonda situation. The open letter Mashonda wrote on Twitter was sad. For those who brought up R. Kelly and Chris Brown, I never bought their music so fail for that comparison. Even though I boycotted Perez Hilton’s blog for accusing Michael Jackson of faking his death as publicity stunt (a post he later deleted but he was still put on blast when someone saved it), I was curious to see if the comments over there would be positive about this song and video. The majority of people over there don’t like this song either only a few brought the Swizz affair. They said it was mediocre and boring just like most of us are saying. She really needs to think about releasing another single before her album drops because this single ain’t it. The bloggers and the charts have spoken Ms. Keys.

OK, so what do her songs mean to YOU? You can go on and on and on about ’she’s not what I thought she was’, but are any of her songs relevant to YOUR life? This song, “Doesn’t Mean Anything” reminds me of when my father passed away. I realized that material things he owned really didn’t have value to me. I would have rather have my Dad back.

I usually love your comments and your icon! And you can have your opinions. But My view is that Alicia did not break up any marriage. I think some people just are bored and want to invent things because Alicia’s image is so clean.
But the fact of the matter is that Swizz was separated from his wife before he started seeing Alicia. And whatever the issues are with Swizz and his wife that drama has nothing to do with Alicia. Swizz’s wife put everything she had into Swizz and Swizz supported her and their family but when the relationship was over she felt she had nothing. And women is this position will attack any woman who their X plans on seeing and to have Alicia be the next women she found the need to attack her and write these long comments on twitter. These are the actions of a desperate woman and I’m a little tired of reading comments from other women who can relate to the jilted woman situation and attack Alicia. This is between Swizz and his X. Not Alicia. If a man want to leave or let’s say he wants to Cheat you don’t then attack the other woman as so many women want to do. You attack the man who made the vows with you. That is where the blame is to be found and if he wants out..let him go. Find a new man who wants to value you and stop blaming others.

Her first singles usually take a while to catch on. (Fallin, You Don’t Know My Name, No One) so I don’t think it’s fair to chuck this album in the garbage can. Maybe Perez was the only one giving her offers, a lot of blogs have been trashing her for falling in love with a man that had obviously feel out of love with his ex wife shortly before they even met. Shit happens. Life’s just crazy that way. This album may surprise people.

Not feeling the song…at all. She should have stuck with Kerry because this sounds like a leftover single from her last CD. I am so disappointed in some of the comments made about this young lady. She is always trying to do positive things for countries in Africa and communities. Out of most the the female r&b artist she is the most vocal about making change and women being more powerful and positive.
