Mario releases his new video for his second single, “Thinkin’ About You.” The track comes from his latest album, D.N.A., which just hit stores Tuesday.
The clip was directed by Chris Robinson and once again feature Richgirl’s Audra. It’s pretty interesting, considering that it picks up right where the “Break Up” video leaves off.

#59 I can understand your frustration and point but the arguments that are being raised has nothing to do with Spanish or any other woman of color and especially black Mexicans because well if fact you are a black Mexican female. The issue is raised with black men not believing black women are worthy of worship in videos or mainstream media. Beauty comes in all sizes and color and that in fact is not being shown. Nothing against the beautiful women in these videos, the issue is with our black men and the discrimination they have against black women.
My girlfriend is hispanic,when I first met her she had a big ass afro,white hispanics back in her home country had brainwashed her mind and told her that she was not black . Shit, she`s blacker than me,I can`t even get my hair in a afro,because it`s naturaly curvy and wavy. And in the city that I live in, they have a lot of hispanics and you see them w alking around with that black hair and they will have it braided up or in a afro.. Hispanics have a lot of black blood in them.

There is nothing wrong with having enough sense to notice what is going on around you. If you choose to be ignorant to it, then that’s on you. These entertainers have a large amount of influence on the young minds of today. They shouldn’t, but let’s be real, they do. And there is no balance. More and more of these artists are going after women who look close to something white. She has to be mixed or close to white. (Kanye blatantly told y’all a few years back, and people still supporting this artists)
I think it’s time to stop blaming slavery for everything though. I think the point is that there is self-hate and they are trying to make money by trying to attract a larger audience. Just like movies, a black man and a black women lead makes it a black movie, But a black man with something other than black, will get more viewers and support. Money is the root of many evils, unfortunately. They know black women will support whatever garbage they put out there, so they’re not worried about them. They get both the black audience and the non-black audiences. I usually like to keep my comment short, but this video was just so blatant and some people are still talking about, “it’s just a video” “it’s really not that serious”, which makes no sense. One thing I can’t stand is ‘Ignorance’ and sadly there is too much of it in the black community. One thing I am, is – ‘Socially Aware’, especially with black issues. A lot of black people need to take a leaf out of my book and get more socially conscious, especially the black males in question. Mario acts in a completely different way towards the non-black females, then he would if he were to have a black female in that video. It is so blatant that he finds non-black females to be more ‘beautiful’ then a darker skinned black woman, hence; why they are always so heavily featured in his videos.
The way he wines and dines them and caters for them and then towards the end how he strokes their hair, like they are some price trophy. It is ridiculous man, he looks like a slave up on that log, fondling with the slave masters daughter, while slave master is sleeping. It’s just the same ol’ clique Bull with these kinda black guys. I mean are they happy with always being seen as inferior? Because that is what men like Mario are doing to their image. While chasing the non-black female (especially white) like a love sick puppy, they are making themselves look inferior to other races in the process and highly foolish as well as unattractive.

Yet forgetting the most vital fact, that slavery is the reason why everything is how it is today! neways i have no problem with the girl (i think she’s perfect for the role) in the video im multi-racial myself so i don’t give two hoots who they put in the video.
London is a very multi-racial and diverse society so we don’t really take notice of the colour of models in videos frankly nobody cares.
Lots of black men go out with white, coloumbian, russian, polish, egyptian, romanian, brazilian, Asian, Chinese, Persian incld. all of the above (mixed-race) women everyday and tons still go out with black women too there are too many different backgrounds to explore, and i don’t think black guys should be restricted to black women it’s unfair when there are so many different flavours out there, like cookies and cream lol. And when you are a mixture of races you tend to look more exotic than plain black, thats just life not prettier just more exotic so it catches your eye more.
so we brits tend not to be so focused on race and colour.
Most celebrities from England tend to be mixed because of the huge cultural fusion.
So i think america can learn a thing or too from us… don’t focus on the colour, don’t feel insecure about your own and just enjoy life. And don’t sip on the glass of haterade all the time cos it’ll kill you. LOL! I love diversity if it weren’t for diversity i wouldn’t exist.

We understand what your saying and I agree, black people that are mixed tend to be more eye-catching and exotic. But I hope your not just referring to the lighter skinned mixed people, because mixture in the black race comes in all shades. I know darkskin people that have the chocolate skin shade, but their features look far from the generic black face. Its abit like Tupac. he was darkerskinned, but he had a very Euro-indian/asian look to him. I could also name alist of other dark skin black female and male celebrities that are like him.
I think its cool dat races mingle together and mate, I mean alot of interesting looking black people are coming out of it and giving the black race more diversity.
I think the main argument here is lack of appreciation. Its okay to be attracted to other races, nobody is saying that is wrong. What we are saying is be more APPRECIATIVE of your own race and dont dogg out a black female or male just because you think your dating outside your race. It dont make you better or superior. Because when you have that mentality your promoting institutional racism and that is something the black race dont need. We get to much of that from other races to be going down the route of self-inflicting ourselves with it!

Cut him some slack, the same girl (Audra from richgirl) is in this one as a continuation to “Break Up” video that she was the lead in ( everybody raised a fit about too). Mario and RichGirl went on tour and he became friends thats why she’s in his video. Audra is Philippine and not black but shes in a all black singing group and the other main chick is hispanic. Maybe Mario is attracted to other races or maybe he’s just trying to appeal to european culture if im not mistaken Chris brown had a white women in his “Forever” video. I just think these young singers try to appeal to different audiences by having different races in video. But then again i might be wrong a lot of young black successful men think having a hispanic or white chick is a trophy it’s been like that since back in the day my grandma told me lol. Very few singers actually have brown skined African American females as their leading lade in a video. Only two are coming to mind Ne-Yo & Robin Thicke. It doesn’t upset to the point that im going to boycott lol I’m just curious as to why it’s like that.
