Off the heels of the success of her featuring on “Empire State of Mind,” and the release of her first single, “Doesn’t Mean Anything,” Alicia Keys drops her second single, “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart.”
The new single comes from Keys’ forthcoming album, Elements of Freedom and was produced by Jeff Bashker. The album is set to hit stores December 15th.
Alicia, I’m sure ur man’s ex (thanks 2 u) “WIFE” is sleeping with a broken heart……….vows don’t mean nothing anymore………smh……….what about the kids? anyone worried about their little broken hearts? smh

is really good people !! You should not be so hard, I don’t know what happened and it is none of my bizness but Alicia is just a human being, she is not perfect and never meant to be. You should stop idolizing famous people because they are just like us, be in the spotlight don’t make you a better person, they are human being and stay human being and make mistakes just like us…

i didn’t even think about mashonda when I first saw the title of the song..for some reason I thought of John Mayer’s “Dreaming With A Broken Heart”…I don’t kno why…but anyways…I like this song, and can’t wait for her album.
IA @ Londonlily..this stuff happens all the time. whether they were legally divorced, they were separated..Swizz probably on many occasions, made it clear to Mashonda that he didn’t want to be with her anymore. I have a feeling Swizz has wanted to divorce her, but Mashonda can’t let go. I think I read somewhere that Mashonda was bringing her kids into the situation. I can’t imagine trying to guilt someone into staying with me…having to keep up with the charade that we are still in love..smh..I feel if Swizz and Alicia are happy, let it be. My views on Alicia have not changed. I still am a huge fan of hers.

WOW ppl are really not feeling AK b/c of this whole thing with Mashonda?? Is it b/c we actually know Mashonda as an artist (sort of) that we care?? Also, to the ppl talking about Lauryn Hill’s situations, the difference is that LH came up in the late 90s when we didn’t have blogs and nobody talked about an Artist’s dirt like we do now. Now everybody wants to judge an artist based on their personal life. Not to throw stones b/c I cursed CB’s situation after he beat up Rihanna.
That being said, I like this song alot! I’ve always liked AK as an artist, saw in concert last year and she was great. I wasn’t feeling her first single but I like this one. Keep ya head up Mashonda!!

See, this is what the African American FEMALE community DOES NOT NEED! The only twoyoung African American starlets out there thats doing their thing would be Beyonce and Alicia Keys. Alicia is beautiful. Why she had to be trifling and then publish it is beyond me. I thought all of this was rumors, but apparently its true. I would like to put a prayerful hand upon Mashonda’s shoulder when she hears this or thinks about it because she does not deserve it. Beyonce should watch out because Alicia has proven to be the triflin Rhianna type. Ugh.
