After featuring him in our Artist Spotlight section last month, Concrete Loop has formed a sort of relationship with singer/actor/dancer/model, Collins Pennie.
He has given us an exclusive listen on his new track, “Unforgettable,” from the sessions of his upcoming album. In addition to recently starring in the remake of Fame, Collins is working on his debut album, as well as starring in the upcoming film, Stomp the Yard 2, which begins production soon.

He got a lil some’n’ here, he sounds good and the song is cool BUT can we please jump off the J Holiday sound im sooooooooo tired of it! BUT imma definately give Collins a second chance and see what else is to come.
It’s nice! The instruments are simple but he makes up for it vocally. I just wish he was singing about something else.

I obviously listened to a different song because this sounds like Birthday Sex part 2. The only difference is that this dude isn’t 95% auto-tuned. If I heard this on the radio, I’d have no idea who was singing meaning he will get lost in the shuffle of R&B male artists.
That said, he has a decent voice, but he might want to try something a bit different with the song choice and style.
Thank God Prince and MJ didn’t start their careers during this era of black self hatred where we call everyone that doesnt look like lil wayne and 50 gay.
It’s a nice ballad. The song reminds me of “Bed” by J. Holiday for some reason. It’s not a bad song, the music is fine but he’s not bringing anything new that hasn’t already been done. I don’t mean to knock the young brother and all but it has been all done before.
