He’s up there with Prince and Stevie Wonder as one of the great songwriters of all time. A true artist! A musical genius! I was watched his concert on Billboard.com and the man is phenomenal! He doesn’t need no pyrotechnics nor exaggerate stage costumes/props to wow me! The way he crooned his old hits in IMPROMPTU!! Yes, he does all his shows in IMPROMPTU. He reminded me of Marvin Gaye and how he would croon “Distant Lover” and all the ladies would blush. It’s also amazing how R. switched from thug persona with a hype man by his side down to a soul man that got me tear eyed.
