President Obama was awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize today. The first African-American to win the White House, Obama was praised by the Norweigan Nobel Committee for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.” The announcement came as a surprise — Obama’s name had not been mentioned among front-runners — and reporters in the room gasped when he was named.
Here is what was said about The President at the announcement event:
“Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future,” the committee said. “His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world’s population.”
Even Obama himself has said, that he felt undeserving of winning the Nobel Prize and that he did not think that he won it because of his own accomplishments. And I agree with him, he was not deserving of this award,he had only been in office for 12 days,when he was first nominated for the award by the Nobel committee,and that`s not enough time to accomplish something major enough to win this award.
I get it,I understand why the international world supports and gave Barack this award,it`s because they like his long ass speeches,but when the inernational world starts to find out,like how many Democrats have, that Barack is not God and that all he does is talk and give speeches they will stop supporting him.
I think the committee will be more than happy that they gave him this award when he leaves office. Now is when you see all the people who were just on the Obama bandwagon this time last year, they really dont have any faith in him. I still think he will do a good job.

Congrats to Obama, I think. When there is world peace, you know the end time is very near. Read your bibles, its all coming true evermore these days. Read for yourself dont take anybody else’s word for it and stop relying on preaching and books about the Bible alone. You have to read The Bible day and night, for real, even if its one verse at a time. The best way to do so is read to a bible on tape or go to biblegateway.com and listen and read. It really drives it inward better and you read alot more faster. So sad that when a black president gets into office, the world has to end.

I as an African born am so proud of Obama, he was the first black president of the Harvard Law Review.He was a community organizer in Chicago before earning his law degree.He worked as a civil rights attorney in Chicago and taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004. And on top of all of his accomplishments, he is the first African/biracial/black president all roll into one.
So for some of you to say that he does not deserve this , is certainly without merit. Al Gore won for doing a documentary on global warming, i do not recall hearing people put him down for it. But some of you black Americans do not like to see yourselves in a positive light, unless it is acting the fool on the six o’clock news. I am guessing that Obama is too much of a positive influence in the black community, no sagging pants, no grills , no bashing in school kids heads etc. OBAMA KENYA AND THE WHOLE OF AFRICA ARE PROUD OF YOU, MUCH BLESSING FROM THE ANCESTORS.
