This is going to flop (as they all did) either because of her voice or the album format or both. The first four are so similiar in sound and vocals you lose interest after Pretty Brown, which it is all downhill from there. She tries too hard and she should experiment more with production and definitely her vocals.

Nice work! I have always loved Amerie… Copped all her albums and would definitely get this one!

Honestly I listened to all of the snippets and I’m just not feelin it. Tho it tends to get better towards the 2nd half of the album…All of her recent material sounds the same and I just can’t see nor hear myself listening to this in my car or house. I love Amerie to death tho! I’m rootin for her, but I’m not supporting this album this time around.

The album cover is like good vs evil. You see how the left side is kinda dark and the right side is bright. It goes good with the title In Love & War.

Her music is NOT an embarrassment to the industry. There is WAYY more artist out there that are MUCH, MUCH worst. This is not a bad album however it will flop like hell once it comes out. She needs to push the date back to at least give it a chance for more promotion. Not saying it will work but hey it’s worth giving it a shot. I say shoot for early Dec. release if not…..oh well.

From this photo and the couple of other ones that I’ve seen the album cover is supposed to represent her transformation into a higher state of consciousness or goddesshood. This is why she is a stylized butterfly and half her body is blurred. The picture represents her in the midst of her illumination. She has submitted to the Baphomet and the industry will look out for her by having her make appearances at parties, opening for popular artists, and sitting at the front row of modeling shows. It’s proof that exposure and fame have NOTHING to do with talent and album sales. In alot of the pictures I’ve seen for this album, there are drawings of lions, leopards, and cheetahs. That is to denote that she is an industry sex toy a.k.a. sex kitten or M.K. Ultra “kitten programming”. This is also why Michael Jackson posed on the cover of his “Thriller” album with a tiger cub, and why the tiger was in the “Billie Jean” video. He also was a sex slave to the record executives. Amerie’s debut video for this album was highly masonic.

Not your typical r&b fluff. THANK YOU MISS AMERIE!!! “higher,” “more than love,” and “different people” most def stand out to me. i just hate how underrated amerie is. it’s a damn shame that some other mediocre stars (won’t say any names) get more shine than she does when this is someone who is clearly delivering the good music.

and even if this album does flop, at least it won’t be to the material being weak. you can blame poor promotion for that. i’ll be in line to support! get it A!!!

I actually agree. HOWEVER..you need to realize that people like RIHANNA (I know that’s who you’re referring to) are manufactured artist who are made up to be someone that they naturally are not. And that’s the problem. A good fraction of Rihanna’s fans love her because of her edgy look and daring outfits..but..what they don’t seem to realize and/or ignore is the fact that she is apart of none of that. Why not be a fan of the real people behind her appearance..her makeup artists, stylists and so on. Quite frankly, these people will not be riding Rihanna forever. So when her true colors start reflecting her career will take a nose dive..trust.

People are a fan of someone that is MADE UP. She is basically not even real. But what she does know is that fools like “them” find dressing like a total moron as some how appealing and/or cute. When her stylists leave her or her style begins getting repetitive people will get bored. Now what does she have? Talent isn’t it either. That will lead to her downfall.

At the end of the day..It would be better to have a mediocre career (Amerie) and have it stay that way (because she does have her # of fans) rather than having a hot career for a few years and be a total fail from there on. You can only be a poser for so long. Don’t worry..her time will come.

I still love that album cover. I like a few of the songs but I would have to hear the whole songs a couple times to really decide whether or not I’m feeling the album.

Amerie it was nice knowing you but this album is not your saving grace.

i’m honestly not feelin any of the tracks and its a shame cos her first album was the shiiiiiii her second album was good too but it went downhill from there

I must say that I am extremely disappointed with this album! IT IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! love Amerie, she’s one of my musical inspirations, but she’s fallen off so badly over the years! The only track that I’m feeling is Red Eye. All of her uptempo songs soung like cheap GOGO music and have too much of the same drum and horn vibe. It sounds like James Brown 50’s meets R&B 90’s. WTF? She went all over the place with this album. Her voice is so high and annoying. How many times do I have to comment “Amerie needs to stop singing too high and sing in a lower tone like she did in her first album, “All I Have???” This album has no real concept at all. And it damn sure doesn’t match that album cover or the title. Looking at that album cover I would expect more deep, emotional R&B ballads and contemporary R&B/hip-hop bassy beats that will get you moving in the club. This just doesn’t do it for me and it’s a shame because she really is talented and has stayed true to herself.

Hmmm… I’m a definite Amerie fan because I think her debut “All I Have” was one of the best contemporary R&B albums of this decade. I’m also one in the minority that actually liked her first single from this album “Why R U.” However, after listening to each of these snippets 3x, I think it’s just not in the cards for Ms. Amerie. I think her best work was with her original collaborator, Rich Harrison. I do like Bryan-Michael Cox’s contribution with “Red Eye”, however. That likely will be the only single I download.

Ummm and damn the songs on this album are mostly about the hard times in relationships, only happy one so far is Red Eye

Amerie seems like a nice enough girl, but this is mostly bad. The production gets better with the second half but i can’t bare to listen to her vocals. They’re all over the place. I’m really not sure where her place is within the industry. Maybe she can be an actress or something.

Not excited about her CD - as usual she only has 3 hot tracks out the whole CD - what a waste of time and money!! She has great voice, but she just hasn’t found the right songs that would be on over the top. Not excited at all and won’t be buying this CD.

I like that Swag back song. Amerie makes good songs. I am not saying that she is the best singer in the world. But she has good beats and what she sings is cool too.

Im a huge Amerie fan…really, I dig her style, I rock her first cd at least once every week… I was really unimpressed with the material from Because I Love It and thought it was a failed attempt at trying too hard to think outside of the box..A needs to really stick to what she does best..Smooth, mid to uptempo tracks with Rich’s production…I’m not overjoyed with these snippets, but i def dig some of the songs and will be purchasing to support her..She needs Rich back…If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it..Some people are just better in their own element..

Most of you must NOT be fans because if you knew anything about her as an artist. She LOVES Hiphop..not just ur trendy “IT” production hiphop…she loves the essence of hiphop! She does music she feels and it’s hiphop….not techno, trance, euro pop, electro pop or whatever U wanna call it. Amerie is like an underrated rapper..she gets respect believe it or not from her peers and others because of her artistry and loyalty to hiphop. She will NOT change it up to be the “IT” girl or musical trend of the moment.

Amerie is so much more than that and if you don’t see that and have not seen it since her debut…then why have U not moved on…she is irrelevant so why even comment?? Oh I know why…because some of the negative post are coming from the same lame ass poster….look at the wording…pathetic!

At the end of the day she is 10 years into the game with albums that SOLD gold and are certified GOLD one being certified Platinum now. Many awards, collabs and still in the business releasing her material that SHE WANTS TO RELEASE!!

Amerie is an artist. Not a celebrity. She stays true to her style yet she is evolving quite nicely with her music. It’s so funny how most of you equate a “flop record” to an artist having no talent. Just because she doesn’t sell Beyonce numbers doesn’t make her any less talented. You all complain about music sounding the same, and yet, when Amerie brings good music y’all gotta hate. Ithink that Red Eye is he best track on here even though the beat was used for a song by Ryan Leslie clled Patron. I wish that Amerie came with that same flavor like she did on her first album. The uptempo stuff was decent on the second album but I think she should really test her voice with some slow cuts. Not knocking Amerie at all her stuff is nice though. Just my opinion

I see people are making excuses left and right to define Amerie’s pathetic and poorly produced music. Just because she flopped does not make her a true artist. I’m so sick of people saying that. The ones that keep talking about how great Amerie must don’t realize that they are the only ones that think her music is the “bomb”. Being less successful does not mean it is because they are so great. That could mean one of these things: 1. They do not appeal to the masses 2. Their music sucks 3. They were not lucky enough.
