As usual, Amazon.com has given us some 30 second snippets from our favorite artists upcoming albums. Amerie releases her fourth studio album, In Love & War on November 3rd.
She is currently promoting her second single, “Heard ‘Em All,” written and co-produced by Sean Garrett and Eric Hudson. The album will be Amerie’s first release via Def Jam.

It amazes me how people think that she needs to evolve and do whY everyone else is doing. If she did, yall would criticize her for that!! Amerie knows her lane and she plays it well!!! She’s an ARTIST. Check the credits and then check your favorites credits! You’ll find that yall are really Ne-Yo and Dream STANS. Not Rhi Rhi, and all the other manufactured artist. Thank you

Amerie is an artist. Not a celebrity. She stays true to her style yet she is evolving quite nicely with her music. It’s so funny how most of you equate a “flop record” to an artist having no talent. Just because she doesn’t sell Beyonce numbers doesn’t make her any less talented. You all complain about music sounding the same, and yet, when Amerie brings good music y’all gotta hate. No need for that.

Pretty Brown Eyes = Massive hit. Incredible song!!!! That will be ameries third single. Its gonna be a BIG hit and all over the radios u just watch and see.
Ithink that Red Eye is he best track on here even though the beat was used for a song by Ryan Leslie clled Patron. I wish that Amerie came with that same flavor like she did on her first album. The uptempo stuff was decent on the second album but I think she should really test her voice with some slow cuts. Not knocking Amerie at all her stuff is nice though. Just my opinion
I see people are making excuses left and right to define Amerie’s pathetic and poorly produced music. Just because she flopped does not make her a true artist. I’m so sick of people saying that. The ones that keep talking about how great Amerie must don’t realize that they are the only ones that think her music is the “bomb”. Being less successful does not mean it is because they are so great. That could mean one of these things: 1. They do not appeal to the masses 2. Their music sucks 3. They were not lucky enough.
Actually all 3 of these things describe Amerie. It don’t matter who sings this horrible music she is putting out. Anybody would flop if they released a CD like this.
it sounds OKAY i guess. i agree that all of her music sounds the same but its kinda hard for me to say whether i like any songs because its just 30 seconds. maybe her along with cassie should switch careers because they both suck and r really BORING.

I love Why R U, Pretty Brown, More Than Love, and Red Eye. The other tracks didn’t really move me.
i don’t know why everyone swears that no-talent non-singing video ho rihanna makes better music than Amerie. at least Amerie writes her own material. rihanna is nothing more than a product created by a group of middle aged men in a board room who got where she is by banging Jay Z.

Swag back, is ok, Red Eye is kinda dope, the flowers sounds ok, and that’s about it IMO. Such a pretty girl, with a cute voice…but she seems to be nothing more than a one hit wonder. Truthfully, I wouldn’t buy this album. I guess she’s not working with the right producers/writers. And she’s probably not much of a producer/writer herself. So she just sings what ever is given to her? She needs a new sound. Half these songs sound the same.
the production on the album sounds good….but her voice just….i’ve never been able to warm up to it. it’s too high-pitched to be so nasally. i don’t know.
but HEARD EM ALL, SWAG BACK & RED EYE sound good enough to be singles though.

I am loving the new Amerie album. She is one of the most slept on artists.
Her whole damn album is hot & I will be buying that on Nov. 2Nd!!
Since “One Thing” and her first debut album, she has lost her “midas touch” of bringing that street sweet flavor back to dropping hits and lyrics that honestly had me wondering if she was creating a new genre of music (simular to hip-hop soul sound). She has lost herself with her look, focus, lyrics and image. I know record companies are making young women like Amerie who falls or can be that “crossover” chick like Rihanna….I am seeing this recently in her latest video, which I totally hate! I wish that her first producers/writers go back to the old drawing board and honestly bring back a fresh and hip sound that we all known and loved! I will not be buying this, nor did I buy the album before this one. Best of Luck Amerie…I honestly love you, but not your music the past 2 albums. I will be coping Melanie Fiona’s joint this evening on ITunes!
So many haters? why? its not even necessary…u say she boring because she not always in tabloids, gettin beat up, high or something. Black ppl really got it confused..if u dont got drama u are boring..smh. Before u try 2 knock her actually sit down and take a listen 2 all of her music in full….slow jams included(falling, paint me over, all i have, etc)! Some are sayin all her stuff sounds the same, some are saying she tryin 2 hard 2 be like other ppl/ trying to hard 2 be different. yall got so many reasons 2 hate on here huh.
Anyway, her voice is much better/ stronger than alot of computerized singers (not gonna name them) that might sell better than her; her material is way better than their last 2 albums so yall need 2 stop!
