I wanted to love it, and I thought I would, but nothing else got my attention like ‘It kill me”! I LOVE her album! “It Kills Me” is, of course the standout track, but “Sad Songs” and “Ay Yo” are always on repeat as well. She is a true soul singer. No one else in the game right now can touch her vocally. As much as I love music, she has come out and beat everyone else in one fell swoop. She just knows what to do with her voice and when to do it. She was born to sing.

she is on her promotional grind, but i love how she’s come up with such great concepts. the street performers collabos was a fabulous idea and she pulled it off flawlessly….

the album is not a straight R&B album and some songs may take a minute to like…but overall i dig her and the concept and she has an amazing voice….

I think Melanie is a good singer, but I don’t really think she has a unique voice. Her voice is very forgettable or reminds me of another artist (s). She sounds like a mixture of Deborah Cox and Keyshia Cole with a touch of Sunshine Anderson to me. I don’t see a lot of people buying her cd, especially if it’s already free to hear on her myspace. But maybe I’m wrong. I hope she is successful though and wish her the best.

I think she is soooo talented it is so unreal that RocNation won’t promote her music. As I listen to her music, she is on a whole different level than anybody whoever deals with Jay-Z. She is truly gorgeous not made all up like the rest and she can outsing anybody who’s on JAy-Z record label. She so humble and down to Earth, and I don’t think she would becoming Hollywood like people that deal with Jay-Z. She is an artist that would stay true to her roots intead of being everywhere trying to outshine each other. I hope she gets the attention that she truly deserves. I will be supporting her because she is a real artist.
