I love Monica she outsings all them bishes even though I like them to its Monicas time. I love the way she reps her true love for Rocko and openly speaks about how her past relationship were a mess but he brings a sense of peace and stability to her that trumphs what she Thought was love in the past. Their children are so beautiful I know they are going to try for a little princess! She is always flawless head to toe! Ciongradulations Monica and all the best! I used to think Monica was just ok, but after watching her show last night her attitude & personality really made me love her. She seems very genuine. I also like the way she is with her family. Beautiful person.

I do have a couple of questions though. On the show she kept talking about still standing and going through so much. What exactly has she gone through? I know her boyfriend committed suicide years ago, but I want to know what she’s referring to.

@23 she had to deal with her BF killing himself, her grandmother passing and another close relative all in the same year. she dealt with som fake person taking pics during her times of mourning to make a fast buck. She’s dealt with C-Murder’s drama when they were together. All at a very young age. She’s just trying to show people young and old that you can make it no matter what you have been through andf you can still stand and smile and hold your head high.

Jazmine Sullivan, Brandy, Beyonce, Fantasia, LeToya, and Kelly Rowland all have stronger voices. I’m not saying Mo can’t sing, because her voice is beautiful, I just don’t understand all the hype around her being a “Sanger”. I’ve never heard her belt out anything. She has a soulful voice and does a lot of runs (melismas). Is that what it is?

Monica has never belted out ANYTHING. Have you even listened to LeToya’s new album? She hits higher notes and actually belts better than any song Monica has EVER put out (Listen to Good to Me, Lazy, & Don’t Need You). Monica has a more soulful voice than Brandy, but Brandy’s voice has always been stronger, and a lot more versatile. Listen to “I Thought” off Brandy’s Full Moon album. Mo can’t touch that. And with Kelly Rowland, just listen to “When Love Takes Over”. Monica could never pull that off. I just listened to “Everything to Me” on YouTube. It sounds great. She’s always had a great voice, but she is just doing a bunch of runs, still not demonstrating any strength. I want to hear Mo actually belt a song out. She always plays it very safe. Maybe she will surprise me on this album. I hope so.

@41 SHINOBI I am already familiar with all of the songs you’ve named. I loooove Brandy and I looove LeToya’s album, HOWEVER, it’s a disgrace to suggest that LeToya compares vocally. LeToya has a sweet voice and all but live, Monica would embarrass her. LeToya cannot sing well live as many artists these days cannot.

Brandy is a different story. Brandy can sinnng. Her voice has an amazing quality and her arrangements are like no other, however, I don’t think she is stronger.
