Rumors have been going around for months about BET possibly picking up the canceled CW comedy/drama The Game, but now various sources are confirming that BET finally reached a deal and will air all new episodes starting next year.
According to Sister2Sister Magazine:
While speaking with Drew Sidora earlier this week, the singer-actress dished some great news for fans of “The Game.”
“The show is getting picked up, so for people that have been petitioning and wondering, it is coming back to BET. So, hopefully, you will see me back,” Drew told S2S exclusively. “It is official. The deal has been done.” [ READ MORE ]
Word is they will be taping in Atlanta now, instead of California like the previous seasons.
Yayyyy, im sooo happy The Game will be back! Me and my mama really loved watching that show. LOL. That was quality television right there. This is a real good look for BET to step up in the kind of programming they show. If they could bring Girlfriends back, I would be over the moon.
Now I’m just hoping that the entire cast comes back and that they have the same writers. Like they say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

That’s because BET is hella low budget and will not be paying these ppl what the CW was paying them. Its better off that BET leave this show alone. They know they are ghetto and low budget. The Game did not deserve to be moved to f*cking BET. The only shows BET deserves is Tiny and Toya and Frankie and Neffie.
Oh yeah and its so not cool that every black show has to be moved to BET when everyone knows BET sucks. You can see how poor the network is by looking at the design and comparing it to MTV and VH1.

Anywho, I told ppl if they actually make an effort instead of crying racism the show would get picked up by someone. I’m shocked TBS didn’t pick it up but maybe it’s better they didn’t pick it up. Plus I don’t think Mr. Perry would’ve been having that mess lol! I digress; this goes to show ALL OF YOU that hard work and fan participation is what makes or breaks a show. Whew finally some good news about this show…I was so upset to hear that the CW was pulling it especially cuz they left me hanging with my fav characters Jason and Kelly….heres hoping they end up together again.

Now people don’t get too excited! We have to remember that when the CW canceled the show the cast’s contracts we’re null and void. They still have to negotiate a salary with the cast and if the cast does not like it there will be NEW people playing the characters that we know and love. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that everyone comes back to the show. Because if they don’t, The Game will not be the same!
Im glad BET picked up The Game.I hope they will have the same cast along with some great writers.BET has some big shoes to fill on this one.I could really care less about seeing Drew Sidora on there again,no one really liked her character anyway,so she wont be missed. Its already enough we have to deal with Janay. JMO

Man, I’am so happy BET has decided to pick up “The Game”. We need to continue to have good black tv sitcoms. I do hope that the original characters are brought back to the show and to piggy back on what someone else mentioned, I really hope BET doesn’t kill the script and try to turn it into something that no one wants to watch. I would like to see the same writers continue to write the script for the show as well. Thanks
