Chris Brown sat down with popular radio personality Angie Martinez for an exclusive interview on Wednesday. The singer, who recently released a new song, “Crawl”, spoke about how he’s been doing since the “incident” and on Rihanna and her new single.

I’m prefacing my comments with I worked in a domestic violence shelter for 5 yrs… I handled all types of calls from survivors and their abusive partners.
And as sad as the Chris Brown-Rihanna situation was…understand that we can’t just label people as abusers and think they r not worthy of rehabilitation.
I wish them both the best cuz what probably brought them close 2 each other were their childhood traumas. It sounds like neither 1 of their parents had them in therapy to deal with their issues b4 becoming stars.
People if ur child has witnessed violence or family drug addiction, GET PROFESSIONAL HELP. Simply separating from the person doesn’t make the memories and poor demonstrations of communication go away for the child.
I remember watching an interview with this dude before he beat Rihanna up, and when asked if he was dating her he told them to mind their business.

I thought this was a great interview, this made me see Chris in a different light. He seems like a good kid who just messed up real bad. He can’t change the past, all he can do is apologize, take his punishment, and move on…
He said the media blew this out of proportion, I read articles where Rihanna’s family said the same thing. Chris said a lot of the stuff the media said was falsified and stuff was added to make stuff sound worse than what it is. Actually the report didn’t say he hit her. It was said she slapped him in an verbal dispute and he pushed her away. The other time was he busted the glass window of a car. However, Rihanna did not report those incidents.

iNTERESTiNG. I think CB will be fine in the long run, he admits what he did was wrong, & is now accepting the consequences. He understands why everyone feels the way they do & respects that. All he wants is acknowledgment to the fact that he is HUMAN & is capable of making mistakes (be it small or large). Everyone else needs to get with that. No one is obligated to support him but it’s not fair to make him this Quasi-God that is perfect.
