‘ROUND THE WAY: OMARION SPEAKS ON RIHANNA & THE “SINISTER PART OF THE ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS”
Friday, October 30, 2009
Singer/Dancer Omarion, recently sat down with The Boombox and gave his opinion about the dark-side of the music industry, which has become a hot topic because of the whole Tiffany Evans/Rihanna controversy from a couple weeks ago. Well check out Omarion’s take on it:

“I don’t personally know Rihanna’s beliefs but I think there’s a very dark and very sinister part of the entertainment business and I think it’s very visible,” he said. “This is something that a lot of people don’t look at [but for example] Michael Jackson used to be a Jehovah’s Witness and I remember hearing that he wanted to separate from the religion — and this was during the time that he was doing ‘Thriller’ [which ended up being] his biggest album.”“Fast forward to now,” Omarion continued, “[and] it really made me think that there is a [time as an artist] where there’s going to be a choice. The[entertainment] world [dictates] that you have to be with three or four women, or do this in order to get that [and] I think it’s really interesting. With God and the industry, it’s really dark. The dark side is having to get in, there’s a certain submission you need to have. Just like a gang [initiation], so to speak. You might have to do something against your moral code. I’m not saying that it’s always this way, but when you’re someone that is young and you’re coming up in the industry and you really don’t have a grip on your morals it can be very dark. The game is just about over saturation.
“I don’t know if Rihanna [has fallen victim to those pressures]. I’ve never really heard her speak about it,” he said. “I hope that she doesn’t believe in that stuff and I don’t think that she does, but I don’t know. It’s not just been a Rihanna thing, [there's has been religious speculation] about a lot of artists.”
In related news, Omarion has a new album coming out in 2010 and his video for “I Get It In” will be hitting the net soon.

you guys need to go read the bible and know that the end time is near. the bible says not everybody that calls me LORD LORD will enter the kingdom of God, it doesnt mean beyonce is christian cus she thanks God at award shows but their messages needs to show God in them. move closer to God people and realise that evildoers do live amongst us to corrupt this world. the only way into heaven is through Jesus Christ.

Some ppl need to stop twisting his words. Not once did he mention the devil, Tiffany Evans or accuse any one artist of anything (that MJ story is hearsay) in that statement. If you disagree, read it again. If you still disagree, you might want to consider taking some Reading and Comprehension classes.
The guy is just stating that THERE IS a dark/ side of the music industry. Frankly, immoral behavior is necessary to succeed in ANY business. He never accused anyone of being a devil worshiper or of being a member of some cult. He’s just saying that he knows that trying to succeed in the music industry will test one’s morals and values, and that some artists do sacrifice their beliefs for money and fame. Again, THAT’S TRUE FOR PURSUING SUCCESS IN ANY BUSINESS.

@Stick to what you know Like I said i’m t in the religion I know ,for him to be putting a disclamier on thriller he was baptized when he died a relative of his who is a witness spoke at his private memorial , he couldn’t have it at the kingdom hall because He was no longer a witnesss. Just like people who want to say serena williams is a jehovah witness no she is not. she was raised as one that’s it.

@Mel Iike I said i’m in the religion as well and my family has been in the truth for over thirty years and are friends with people who knew the Jackson family. Michael never was baptized but he was taking the truth very seriously in his youth. Disclaimer doesn’t prove anything at all, you said the William sisters themselves think of themselves as Witnesses but they aren’t. Anyways I’m going to stop aruging with follow brother/sister so let’s agree to disagree

Michael Jackson wasn’t Masonist. Truthfully he was such a giving and kind person. I understand some nobody artist give £50,000 for show. He gave in his whole life time $300 millon. who does that? he does. Helped orphanges. I’m not even black/white or christian. But i saw quote when i visisted the MJ exhibition on friday in London. ”I love helping and loving people as Jesus said to do”. So in my opinion actions speak louder than words. He was pure, what did he do so evil? don’t masonics have to make sure they endure and withold some kind of sinister act - blood scarifices. yes jay z is, so is rihanna, kanye. Dam a keen eye can go on for days who is into that BS. But MJ please. He just had fools around him that used him. The guy had respect. just pure.<3

Rihanna mentions ’satan” at 3.16 mark in the disturbia video. It’s not the new song that people brand her as a satanist. It’s symbolism of theshe represents to the fullest - the devil hand horns/all seeing eye. In the ‘wait is ova” video promo she mimics and models the ‘fallen angel’. check it out..

LMAO. what I find funny is the folks. Saying oh no I kinda believe it now. Because these artists are witnesses. You’re the ones that feed into media, take everything they throw at you. Cannot conjure up the thought that they actually do follow - believe in this stuff. Think for yourself. You don’t know you stars persoally. Only what they control, market and publish to you. hahaha

I think what Omarion meant was… to get to the top, people often throw away their morals. And by going to the “dark side” he doesn’t mean worshiping the devil, but just putting God on the back burner, or doing things that aren’t in line with our faith or what we were taught to be “right”. In everyday life we often do things we shouldn’t do, or are against what we learned in Church… to get what we want, or to get to the top. This is a simple ass example… you want an A on a test, you didn’t study, cheating is “bad”, but your only option now to achieve that A is to cheat. And you do.

Wow…it looks like everyone is starting to Hate on Rihanna and what she’s doing. Have anybody else noticed that the people who are commenting about Rihanna and saying its about her religion are people who are not even big in the industry. They wish they was on her level and just want some exposure. Tiffany and Omarion ya’ll both are lames, go get a life or rather go get some talent.

My thing is WTF are the majority of these ppl talking about the bible and God BUT their lyrics say otherwise. The only ppl who should be speaking out are those that actually live by the bible which NONE of these mofos do. If I was a christian, I would be really pissed about a bunch of hypocrites speaking out and making ya’ll look bad. Maybe some of you bible nuts should insult then instead of insulting some of the ppl commenting since you know nothing about their personal life. I’m just saying….

#3, STFU. Manson never said he was in a cult or even into the occult. He voices out all the time about his stage persona being part of his show. He’s an artist and entertainer; get a clue please.

It’s time as young people, we stop just listening to any old music, and actually LISTEN to the lyrics! “middle finger to the Lord. I have no remorse.” ???? Helloooo??? Jayz said that in his “Dust your shoulders off” song. and he says a whole lot of other things in his songs and interviews. WAKE UP!!! And if Rihanna is down with him, then she is apart of it. Its not to attack them as people, but to expose the “dark side” of the music industry and stand up for what is right. I know there are other Christians who love music as much as I do and those who are not Christians, know something is creepy about Jayz and Rihanna and that “We run this town video”. It is demonic and in Jesus name all those that know better need to stop supporting these lost souls. If you know better, PLEASE STOP promoting this music! It is not music but Satanic worship. Omarion is right. ONly God knows why he came out and said the truth but I’m glad. And I for one am not ashamed of the Truth because the Holy bible says the Truth shall make you free, and who the Son of God sets free, is free indeed. I am not ashamed of my love for Jesus Christ and I do not like the “dark side” of hip hop, or anything. Because the Bible says God is Light and Jesus is the LIght of the world. And Michael Jackson did say in his “this is it” song that he is the light of the world and he feels grand. Thats what he said! go on youtube and listen to it, or turn on the radio. That is blashemy! I do believe these people are free masons. A friend of my sister says she heard Jayz even admit he is a freemason on tv before. Come on…Omarion is 100% right. I pray that all those who read my comment will give their life to Jesus Christ and forsake this devilish nonsense, that is called music. God bless you all and may you be covered with God’s love, mercy, clarity and wisdom of all things.

Most of the people on here talking about Masonic stuff….aren’t a Mason. Wtf do a person who is outside the circle know about something inside of it? I for one is not a Mason nor a Eastern Star but I have a dad who is a PHA Mason. He is not a devil worshipper nor does his Organization consist of anything demonic. If these people are so evil, why are they in the community giving back? Why are most of our grandparents and parents one? Most of the Masons and Eastern Stars I know…are caring and would do anything for anyone. I believe they are not a secret society but a society with secrets. They like any organization out here. If you so much interested in knowing what they do…stop reading these dumb blogs, listening to non members and what not and just ask a member or better yet join it to find out. You people are so ignorant and some of you fools make nosense what so ever.

Okay, I get it. Satan was in charge of music. Now that we have that out of the way- it amuses me that only now after Rhianna puts out a song about suicide have we decided to look at the bigger picture. Let’s face it folks, most of the artists that are on the radio are not exactly singing/rapping about anything remotely positive or spiritual. Get off Rhianna’s case unless you are willing to put EVERYONE else on trial too (Omarion included). Most popular music out today promotes having premarital sex, drinking, smoking, lusting, killing, coveting, etc. Just listen to your iPod and what you pump into your brain on a regular basis. Garbage in, garbage out, folks. And for artists like Tiffany Evans, unless she’s a gospel singer I would suggest that before we all jump on the bandwagon, that we remember that there are false prophets. Those without flaw sing the first note.
