VIDEO: TEEN ENTREPRENEUR’S ROAD TO THE WHITE HOUSE
Thursday, October 29, 2009
Concrete Loop loves hearing about young, talented individuals doing their thing and paving the way for others, and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share this video of 17-year-old Kalief Rollins, president of Phree Kountry Clothing, and recent grand prize winner of the National Youth Entrepreneurship Competition for his custom T-shirts with inspirational designs and positive messages.
The young entrepreneur took home $10,000 to help further his business goals and also earned an all-expense paid trip to the White to meet President Obama. If you want to contact Kalief, hit him up via email, phreekountry@yahoo.com.

THAT’S A GOOD LOOK. IT’S ALWAYS GOOD TO SEE YOUNG PEOPLE DOING SOMETHING BESIDES ACTING A FOOL.

This is a good look! My heart felt proud watching this. There are so many of us young African Americans out here doing so many positive things, but it seems like nonsense gets all the shine. I’m proud of this young brother!

It’s sad that there are only 13 replies. Now if it was about Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush, Kanye West or Jay-Z, there would be at least 85 replies right about now.

Good to see a young black brother doing things like this. And more importantly, he is educated which is a sign that he knows what he wants out of life. Sadly enough, like Zena said, only nonsense gets the shine and those of us who are actually trying to make it in other ways get lumped into it. Sad but true…..

Good post! Congrats!…A story on a teen that’s not pregnant…not wanted for murder…not wanted for rape…not going to jail…beautiful. I wish he would come and rub off on the teens in my neighborhood.

I love seeing young black men doing positive things. Young kids today need more role models like him instead of people like Souljah Boy.
