The best award show as far as performances I’ve seen in a while. So refreshing to see different genres of music in one night - LIVE at that!

Dear JLO how can you fall down while wearing gym shoes and shorts??? Proof is in the pudding, that this was never had any talent.

Janet Jackson, Lady GaGa, Whitney, Mary J, did the damn thing.

Alicia Keys, I was very disappointed, she is really getting away from true talent, which is the piano!

The theme of this show MUST have been “bad performances.” The standout awful performances came from Whitney Houston (she talked half of the lyrics), Alicia Keys (her voice is SHOT), J. Lo (give me a break, go away), Timbaland (stick to producing please, got lucky the first time around), oh, and Rihanna gets the top prize for awful performance (no comment, but for all the hype she gets, wtf was THAT?).

Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Shakira, Mary J. Greenday and Carrie Underwood rocked it.

Mary sounded and looked AMAZING! She had the BEST performance of the night. A REAL SINGER!!!!!!!!!!!! No gimmicks! I cant wait to buy her new album and her new single “I Am” is on iTunes today for download.

OMG I love Janet, Shakira, Whitney, Carrie, Kelly, Gaga, Mary J, and Alicia.

Janet- I have been a fan of hers for so long so anything she does I love, she did great lastnight and proved she still has it. I love her new song.

Shakira- That girl is always good, she is an entertainer and she and her dancers were hot.

Whitney- OMG she made me want to cry, she did GREAT!! What else are we to expect from her? Nothing but the best.

Carrie- She is my favorite country singer beside Taylor Swift, she sound just like her album and she looked so pretty lastnight.

Kelly- She sound so good but her voice is always beautiful.

Lady Gaga- Made me a fan lastnight, I thought she was another Rihanna but she really proved to me that she can sing her ass off.

Mary J- She did her thing, I always love Mary.

Alicia/Jay- I am not really a fan of Jay Z they did alright, I do love Alicia Keys parts of the song. Her song she did by herself was good also.

Rihanna- That chick need to save us all and never sing live again, what the hell was her deal? All she did was walk around stage and swing her hair. Her label, manager, and voice coach need to have a major sit down talk about lastnight. That voice alone should get her dropped from her label.

They actually put on a good awards show this year, straight and to the point. Decent performances by all.

Whitney cannot hold her notes like she used to, but she still sang better than some of the people there. She looked fantastic and I think it’s wonderful her daughter Bobbi Christina was there to cheer her on. Fabulous!

I loved Jay- Z and Alicia’s performance and I also liked Lady GaGa’s. Lopez was……there are no words even if she hadn’t fallen it was just craptastic!! I guess that’s what happens when you surround yourself with asskissers just telling you what you want to hear. Overall the whole show was pretty bad.

And I will say this, as much as I don’t like Beyonce she is a good performer because you certainly see the difference with other folks.

The AMA’s were very entertaining and creative. Jay-Z and Alicia did a great job in representing New York in L.A. (I never ever get tired of this song).–They had everyone on their feet singing the song “Empire State of Mind”.

JLO has that New York attitude. I love her but not the song.

Rihanna has come into her own. She is now an edgy rocker chic and it suits her.

Mary is very old school.

Alicia Keys is growing as artist and is no longer residue to her piano chair. I love it! I want to see her move and come into her own.–She doesn’t have to be the greatest dancer but have her own style.

Lady Ga Ga is a true performing artist. She is very dramatic.

I have to also say, when did lip synching become such a bad thing? Even back in the day when Soul Train was on, they lip synched. Only on award shows did you see the actual performance.

Janet has lip synched on every awards show EXCEPT when she sang “Again” at the Academy Awards (or Grammy’s I forget). I have every tape of her performances from Control on up…and she lip synched. This is nothing new.

I’d rather hear the actual record rather than a screech..

Rihanna - She better not ever sing live again. She sounds bad enough on the record! That was atrocious. She just walks around the stage pointing like a bloody fool. When she came on, my mum ran in my room talking about “Are you alright?! What’s that noise?!” Dreadful.

Overall, the American Music Awards were extremely CLASSY! This was probably the best music awards show that I have seen in a very long time. The show was very organized.

Janet Jackson, LOL so stiff, slow, and she was so out of breath. And people actually still praise this woman like she still is talented just because of her music history? GET OVER IT! And SMH on her lip synching/using pre recorded vocals!Even Madonna doesn’t do that.

Shakira, cute girl, but she can’t dance for sh**! Those hoochie black/African dancers had the crowd and viewers fooled. I get the concept, but all blacks though?

Rihanna, LMMAO! She looked like a lost 15 year old trying to look sexy onstage doing karaoke. This was one of the worst performances of the night! It was SO boring. Her voice is just so irritating and she actually sounded and looked so ghetto “fabulous” onstage. Just proves how “classy” she is.

Lady Gaga. Her performance was all over the place! Looks like she’s running out of ideas. SHE CAN‘T DANCE. That sh** she was doing was stuff that retards and mental patients do. The first part was boring and embarrassing. The second part, at least she finally sang, but her voice is HORRIBLE! Now y’all compare her voice to Kelly Clarkson’s and Carrie Underwood’s beautiful, southern soulful voices. It doesn’t compare. She’s a mess.

Mary J, beautiful voice and very talented. I didn’t care for the song, but it is a nice song. I love how her, Kelly, and Carrie were able to give the best performance of the night with just singing.

Jlo, OMG I am actually surprised. She fell when she jumped off the guy, but she tried to play it off. Her moves could’ve been better but she was on point. I loved the concept. Oh but next time Jlo, don’t sing with the mic off and the back track.

Adamn Lambert… wtf? Nasty, nasty performance. But people need to shut up about him just because he’s a gay dude because I don’t see anyone complaining about Gaga’s gay a** doing nasty performances. Put Britney Spears and Madonna’s perf. in there too.

My favorite of the night had to be MJB. She is a diva. She doesn’t need any stage props or wild dancing or outfits. She’s become such a legend that all she has to do is sing. I love her. Im so sick of people talking about her tatoos. So what… I think they fit her well. She’s the queen!

I had to laugh at JLOz performance … Ha Ha Ha! She really needs to quit, cos she looks too motherley to be doing performances like that. She also looked very manly and her hairstyle looked awful, she could av at least wore her hair long. The boxing theme was doing nothing and the epic fall hahahaha… I think she needs to hit the treadmill and lose a few pounds. Because she looked very FAT on that stage.

Urm shakira looked HOT!!!! I love when she tans, it brings out her latin beauty. The dances were a lil too much, but I guess she got her message across with them.
