Don’t let my bias fool you, I think he has a lot of work to do as a young man, but I have been a fan of this dude’s music from the get-go.

I liked the video and song. I find it pathetic how people can’t seperate the artist from the his personal life. He’s not talking about beating a girls ass in the song or any of his songs. What happend, happend in his personal life, as I’m sure alot you pointing your fingers have had or done some things that you are glad no one knows about. So lets just stop being hypocritical, casting stones and pointing fingers, cause when you point your finger theres always three fings pointing back at you.

This song reminds me of the insprational songs that they used to make in the R&B genre instead of the generic themes of ‘you cheated on me’ or ‘i saw u in the club (fill in the blank’)’ songs. I don’t see how he could have done wrong talking about taking it slow in relationships. Great song and advice to young people as well.

Also I have hope that his CD will do well. I feel as though the general consesus with teeny-boppers is they will support him (my little sister and her friends are still going crazy for this boy), and I while I was at i-hop talking about his video with a couple of my friends, a teenage male waiter came over to talk to us about it; he said Chris Brown was his idol. Now I’m not saying that he was right in what he did to Rihanna but at the same time I see no point in holding that against him anymore, especially since he has apologized numerous times over and over. Although I don’t consider myself Christian, I grew up in a Christian household, and it seems that a lot of people have forgotten about ‘forgivness’. You’re supposed to forgive him and if you don’t that means that you are holding a lot of unessary hatred and negativity in your own hearts. If Rihanna can forgive him for beating the crap out of her, within her own personal life and situation, then why can’t others (ourselves) forgive him as outsiders who were not in a personal relationship with him? It seems that some of us have gotten carried away in terms of the actual effect on Chris Brown and Rihanna’s passed relationship…which was a relationship between those two and only those two….hmmmz.

I love the setting of the video. Cassie was extremely stiff and boring, but she looked pretty. It annoys me when there’s lovey dovey predictable kissing scene in movies or music videos, but I wished they would have kissed in that scene where they were face to face. It would’ve been cute. But Chris’ dancing was on point and went with the song. The desert scene showed the uplifting feeling of the song. This song is just so beautiful. The beat almost got me teary eyed LOL. 1) Chris is doing all this without major promotion and having road blocks in his way. That’s from not being on major tv, not being on all radio stations, not having tv adds, not having billboards up, etc.. He’s doing all this w/ at most other then MTV. ZERO promo.
2) ICTY and Crawl are not even on radio adds he’s on billboard without the song being release to airplay it’s not even on Pop stations adds or all Urban and Rhythmic. So he’s done it with less radio and less promotion.
3) Trey will NEVER and I mean Never replace CB. Chris is an all around ENTERTAINER. Let be honest Chris is WORLD WIDE success. In UK he’s success, in Australia he’s success, in Brazil he’s success, etc…. Where is TREY on there???? ………………. Yeah, I thought so. You know what, I never thought I’d say this and mean it, but I do wish Chris the best. I was shocked to hear what he did to Rihanna, and still am a little vex, but everyone makes mistakes and I’m willing to believe he’s trying to move on with his life- in a positive direction.

This new album sounds hot and he is making the necessary steps to continue with his career. This doesn’t mean I think it is ok what he did to Rihanna because it’s not, but I really do wish him the best of luck. Like someone pointed out, this isn’t the first time a famous person has assualted another person, in fact there may even be celebrities out there who abuse their other halfs and we don’t know ish about it. You know it’s a shame that people can’t even get past the situation with him and rihanna. People are going to support rihanna and her music per singing is horrible, but because she’s rihanna she’ll get that support. Chris was young not a grown man and he made a damm mistake, but his talent should not go un notice. He’s getting help to insure his emotions won’t accure like that again and I believe Rihanna should seek help in that department also. Both artist should get and have support so either one won’t be caught in a situation like this again ever. God can only and should be their only judge. Yes Chris pleaded guilty and the court of law judge him according to her feelings and the law of California but Chris was young and truly didn’t know what his action would be in a matter of this sort and he’s getting help. People should stop judging him so harsely and not judging rihanna because she’s label as the vitim. Both are vitims, only chris haven’t reveal exactly what his ex-girlfriend did to him. Pray for both and move on.

Considering the economy and what he’s been through and the fact that he’s able to sell out ANY SHOW is an accomplishment. If you didnt know even Beyonce had to lower some of her ticket prices just so it could be affordable for her fans to come in one of her recent tours because of the economy. I just looked at Chris’ twitter and he actually just twitted about his sold out show in Houston. After the tour is over you’ll be surprised how many shows he actually SOLD OUT.

My thing is this. And I’m taking it all the way back to this because I never had a chance to speak on it before. I guess all people deserve a “second chance” or whatever the hell you want to call it. And the United States is a money, fame and celeb obsessed world so eventually people will forget about it. But what he did was STILL and is STILL wrong. He shouldn’t have abused his girlfriend period. Abusers ALWAYS say they are sorry and not trying to predict young Chris’ future, but they typically abuse again, and all of this I’m saying is from hardcore EXPERIENCE. So hopefully he has learned his lesson, but if anyone cares to examine the stats, a man who abuses his spouse doesn’t just change after some community service and anger management classes. That’s actually what the judge rules for most domestic violence cases, so everything he’s doing is court mandated, and I doubt he’d do it otherwise.

Everyone saw the photo. He beat the crap out of Rihanna. Not saying he can’t ever change, but your boy has a serious problem.

In any event, the song sounds nice and the video is nice just like all of this young man’s work. I hate Cassie’s do, and hoped by now it would change. She’s still pretty though.

you know for someone with so much energy in his music, he has some of the best mid-tempo/slow songs. I thought the video was beautiful, with a good concept and his voice is growing on me. good job Chris.

Like I’ve said before, I am so very proud of both Chris Brown and Rihanna for speaking out on the heinous crime of domestic violence - no matter the why’s, how’s and when’s of it all. We VERY RARELY get to hear from the abuser concerning his (or her) contribution to the “incident”, how he feels about it, his remorse, his conviction of the crime, and his pennance to right the wrongs. What’s even better here in the Chris Brown / Rihanna saga is that we also get to see the transgressor (Chris Brown) redeem himself in a VERY public fashion by pleading for forgiveness (over & over & over…) and the opportunity for redemption. I can’t EVER remember a celebrity who has done such a wrong and then has humbly, vulnerably, and sacrificially put all that he has/is at the feet of the pitchforked and heavily opinionated, fickle public. And he’s doing it all at just 20 years old. This young man really is a MAN - who had a moment! And now he’s coming back to himself - renewed and retooled. As long as he continues to show and prove (and not continually apologize) his willingness and ability to change, learn and grow from the “incident”, then he will have my $15 on 12/08/09 and my continued support and prayers (and Rihanna too!).
