I know that’s what she meant. But if Angel and the others on CL realized that Britney served as any amount of appeal to a wide majority of blacks, they would obviously have her on here. That being said, incase you didn’t notice, Lady Gaga is getting a lot of praise by the black community. As far as Britney..not so much. Don’t get me wrong..Britney has Millions upon Millions of fans from every race but as far as the blacks on this website..she doesn’t quite fit in. I thought the video was cute and different for Shakira and I do feel she is trying something different. But I did see some things in the video that strikes me as odd. What ever happened to good ole fashion music videos without all the hidden symbolism and worshiping of false Gods? You can hardly watch a video without feeling like your being programmed. And what was the message that everyone was saying is so good? At one point I heard her say ” lock me away in a cage and I’ll do whatever you want” ODD!

When Shakira dresses up as this Statue of Liberty goddess, who does Indian/Balinese-like dances, it does remind me of that Indian god. There’s is a dual symbolism, but I don’t think it has to do with religion—but more world music choreography.
