video phone would be a cool song if it wasn’t about a video phone. what is a video phone? all phones have video capacity including my old sprint flip phone. gaga doesn’t save it b/c the message is the same and quite juvenile, the long intro and outro are nice but that’s it. the video should be good though b/c unlike beyonce gaga don’t play. telephone is okay, beyonce sounds very DCish on it minus the youthful pep of DC songs.

Videophone Remix is a hot mess. Beyonce sounds unecessarily ghetto and Lady Gaga sounds awkward because clearly this isn’t her genre. And it sounds like they just slapped her vocals on the end of the song anyway…….FAIL.

I want to get behind this track, but Bangladesh’s production is extremely tired: the repeated cymbals and the rhythm pattern is completely recycled. It wasn’t interesting after A. Milli. Let’s start a movement to reclaim commercial music from these overrated producers. I do like the tertiary harmonies in the vocals at the end, however. Something tells me that wasn’t Bangladesh’s idea.

I must admit, I am VERY dissapointed by Beyonce ft Lady Gaga- Video phone ‘effort’.
I am soo sick and tired of these PR teams overhyping garbage, knowing that the material they are overly marketing dont live up to the hype… SMH
(But when I come to think about it, thats what HYPE is- masking the inadequacy of the material/artist involved).

Beyonce’s VideoPhone has never appealed to me. I myself find it repetitive, boring and lacklustre. What gets me mad, is how she thought a remix with Lady Gaga would even help make this garbage be a good song- LOL. If she was gonna throw Gaga on a remix she could @ least picked Radio or something, cos thats a song that is better fitted to Lady Gaga’s voice.

Sometimes I think this is a clever trick used by Beyonce and her team to kill Lady Gaga’s career. It seems that whenever a new female artist comes along that poses a threat to Beyonce’s career, Beyonce will be quick to do a song with that artist. Do you guys all remember her collaboration with Shakira? Hmmmm. Now look at where shakiras career is now! Its in the dumps and that has something to do with Beyonce. The saying ‘Keep your friends close and your enemies closer’ definitely applies to this chick for sure.

Beyonce knew very well that Lady Gaga wouldnt sound too good on this song, because Gaga is a techno/pop/alternative artist! This song is catered for Beyonce, because she is known for her hiphop/rnb/soul voice, so of course she is gonna shine on a track like this. Lady gaga seems so outta her element on this and its sad really.

Although I have mentioned all the above- Bad Romance is definitely a classic and Lady Gaga will be one hard bisssh for Beyonce to get rid off, even with all them snidy tactics she’s using!

I too like Telephone better than Video Phone. I never liked Video Phone though, and Gaga didn’t help–and I really like Gaga, and I love Beyonce. Overall, Beyonce did Gaga’s song more justice than Gaga did her song. She should make Gaga give it another try.

The beginning of “Video Phone”, was hot. It had me kinda anxious to hear Lady Gaga’s part..then I heard it…and ummm…I was supremely disappointed. “Video Phone”, was my favorite track on “I am Sasha..” so I was definitely feeling let down..but w/e…”Telephone”, was slightly better..only because of Beyonce’s vocals. All in all I hope the video lives up to the hype, cause the remix was garbage.

It’s not much different than the original, it just has the Lady Gaga verse added and extra music…I like it though; but I also like the original as fluffy as it may be…sometimes folks just want to be entertained …Beyonce fits that bill.
