This is so not a hit, its very dry and and seems to be missing that it factor we as Mary fan are use to. I am starting to get a little tick off. I now see why she keeps pushing the album back, its just not good. this is the 3rd single from the stronger album and i am just not happy with any of them. If this these are the type of songs she going to put out i need to find a new fav singer. she was my last hope for R&B music in 2009. Daaammmnn. well there is always next year

I love this I’m only half way into listening the lyrics are a lot more mature than what I’m used 2 hearing from Mary cant wait for this album, this is one woman that never stops and thats beautiful. she’s got a new album every year now. I hope the music is much more mature than the last one it was kinda mediocre, and real light but i love this song already.

I I love this song.. It starts off like “Everythin”, but the beat changes… and it is hot.. I heard on the radio rotation and I had to look it up… This is a great reality song…. at the end of the day… I Am… the one… It motivates and bring confidence to our sisters, who just needed a reminder… LOL…

I’m one of Mary’s biggest fans but I don’t understand why on her messageboard
maryluvs.com (where I found out about the song) I tried to register but I get this message,

the song is garbage, and it’s not gonna do well. this is mary not even at her lukewarm best. her radio spins might start off decent, but this song just does not carry it’s own weight. as far as commenters saying it sounds like “i can love you”, no it does not. “i can”, has a hard hitting hip-hop feel that “i am” doesn’t. you cannot compare “i can love you” to “i am”. two different songs with two different purposes, and genres. i agree with commenters #25 and #67 mary’s problem is, the fact that not only are her songs on record sounding like she’s not putting that stank on it vocally, the production on these released songs is horrible so they’re sounding like demo material. they had a hit record with “the one” but due to the video not immediately releasing, it failed. if geffen really wanted to make a dent in their sales, with mary j. blige, they’d scrap this song, shoot a treatment for the song “queen”, push back the album a little more, and get it right. i don’t see her album or this song doing well at all.

I so like this song! It’s starts off like “Everything (You Are)” from the Share My World album…..Mary, I will be on Verizon download this as my ringback tone for all the fellas who know they missed out, and the ones who messed up- they have Letoya Luckett to listen to “Regret” LOL
