Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson and photographer Tony Echevarria want to press charges against each other following a scuffle at LAX on Wednesday.
According to reports, Echevarria told police Tyson hit him once, and he fell to the ground. Tyson’s spokeswoman said the boxer, who was traveling with his wife and 10-month-old daughter, was attacked by the overly aggressive paparazzo: “Mike acted in self-defense as a father protecting his child”.
Both men were booked and released on suspicion of misdemeanor battery. Police are checking whether there was any surveillance video of the incident.
