NEWS: PRESIDENT OBAMA HONORS FORT HOOD FALLEN + VIDEO
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama arrive for a memorial service on Tuesday for the thirteen victims of the shooting rampage last week at Fort Hood, Texas. The couple began an afternoon of consolation by privately meeting with family members of those killed and also met with those wounded in the attack.
The President then spoke to the entire Fort Hood community during the memorial service, honoring the soldiers and civilians killed on November 5th:
We come together filled with sorrow for the thirteen Americans that we have lost; with gratitude for the lives that they led; and with a determination to honor them through the work we carry on.

I watched this live yesterday and it was so touching. President Obama’s speech was just what the people of Fort Hood needed to hear but also what we as American’s needed to hear. I continue to pray for the families of the victims of this horrible crime as well as for all of our men & women in armed services everywhere.
This is an hour away from where i’m from so now i’m really afraid but imma keep praying and yall pray for the victims and families

This is so tragic. These people were in the comfort of their own country and yet they still stand in unsafe quarters after being at war for a long period of time. My condolences go out to the families of these people…very great eulogy by President Obama. You make us proud everyday…

Couldn’t they have left out those big assault rifles out of the memorial? its like saying HA HA live by the gun, die by the gun! Those do not need to be there, shoes, helmet, whatever but i wouldn’t include them
this story upsets me EVERYTIME i hear or think about it….like dude was an American soldier and he just decides 2 fire off like that?!? UGH! Some people and their evil mind and ways are just SO WOW! my prayers and thoughts are with the family’s and soldiers who lost loved ones in this situation….:(
