TV BIT: RIHANNA SAYS “EFF LOVE” ON GMA, 20/20 INTERVIEW AIRS ON FRIDAY

Thursday, November 5, 2009

In a 5 minute clip on Thursday morning, pop star Rihanna broke her silence about the night her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown attacked her (alternative video here). The singer spoke candidly with reporter Diane Sawyer and said she was “embarrassed and ashamed” that’s why she didn’t speak out until now.

On being embarrased and ashamed:
“That’s embarrassing that that’s the type of person that I fell in love with. So far in love. So unconditional that I went back. It’s humiliating to say this happened. To accept that? It’s a traumatizing experience.”

On going back to Brown after the incident:
“I stayed. I even went back after he beat me, which was wrong,” she said. “But again … I’m a human being and people put me on a very unrealistic pedestal. And all these expectations, I’m not perfect.

It’s completely normal to go back. It’s not right. I learned the hard way, but again, this is what I want people to know,” she said. “When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part. I couldn’t be held responsible for going back.

On her influence on young girls:
“Even if Chris never hit me again, who is to say that their boyfriend won’t? Who’s to say that they won’t kill these girls?” she said. “These are young girls and I just didn’t realize how much of an impact I had on these girls’ lives until that happened.”

On being lonely & losing privacy:
“One of the most lonely times I’ve been was in the past few months because nobody understands what it’s like,” she said. “There are a lot of women who’ve experienced what I did, but not in the public. So it made it really difficult. I just felt like, ‘Oh my God, here it goes, my little bit of privacy.’”

The full interview will air on 20/20 on Friday night (November 6th).

Rihanna Exclusive Interview With GMA: Was It Needed? « Life Blog

Thursday, November 5, 2009 /

[...] Via Concreteloop: On being embarrased and ashamed: “That’s embarrassing that that’s the type of person that I fell in love with,” Rihanna told “Good Morning America’s” Diane Sawyer in her first television interview discussing the assault. “So far in love. So unconditional that I went back. It’s humiliating to say this happened. To accept that? It’s a traumatizing experience.” [...]

To the people saying why rihanna did the interview nine months after the incident, why didn’t you all ask Chris why he did his 8 months after the incident? You all are always trying to say some shi*. SHe speaks when she speaks, people can’t dictate when somebody should speak up. You can tell she is probably feeling better now about the situation, because she is putting music out as well as speaking out. She wasn’t working on music right after the incident happened as well, but you all were too busy saying why don’t she do something put out music or something. Now that she is you all still complaining. Please. Maybe she wanted to speak out before hand, but her advisers or even the label recommended she do it now. Chris said he wanted to speak out, but his lawyer didn’t let him. So you all don’t know the reason why she didn’t speak out before now.

Then when is she supposed to speak about it? It is SMART because she has millions of kids who look up to her. Of course it’s convenient that her album is out in a few weeks/days. But SOMEONE was going to ask her ANYWAY. Whether it is now, or next year… It doesn’t matter.

And SMH @ people trying to justify. Unless Chris Brown ended up with the same wounds… You can NOT justify him hitting her bruised, bloody, to a pulp. Have you SEEN the picture? Close your stan eyes for a moment and look at the picture.

I’ll still listen to both their music. I’m still a fan. But UGH @ some of you trying to justify what Chris did.

—–This pity party may actually help her sell records. A part of me feels sympathy for
—–her, but then another part of me knows she lying. It’s hard for me to believe that
—–Chris was beating her @ss consistently prior to the night of the Grammy’s. I just
—–don’t believe it. The emotions she displays in this video, she should go into acting.

SAY WHAT???

Thursday, November 5, 2009 /

U…I dunno. Rihanna has a history of being violent herself so she doesn’t have room to talk about Chris but I’m sorry she had to go through that. I hope the both of them learn from this situation and MOVE ON! Just continuing to talk about it is just stupid. What a lot of people dont realize is these two are very young, “young love”. They have a lot to learn still.

I loved that first part and will continue to watch the rest tomorrow …I love rihanna as an artist and believe it or not unlike what them haters think not all fans are blindly following their fav star …i remember hearing about when she went back n i told myself i will no longer support that girl if she goes back to that dude …( not that it will affect her career , or anything) but i just couldnt support someone that was doing what i was against…and i was very proud of her when she realized her mistake. So what if she talking about it when her album about to drop, so the hell what! It would’ve been pretty weird to just go on about life, promoting the album doing interviews and and act like nothing happened … its a subject that she knows cannot be avoided and might as well get it out of the way since it’ll would’ve just been uncomfortable.

84.

Stan

Thursday, November 5, 2009 /

Chris Brown stans need to stop speaking so disrespectful about Rihanna. It will back fire. Look at how Mariahs Carey sales suffered as a result of her stans putting down Whitney Houston? After Whitney came out everyone refuse to by Mariah not because we dislike her, it’s because we don’t like her stans behavior toward Whitney.

There are people that still love Chris and Rihanna Don’t make the fans pick a side because Chris brown will loose. Rihanna’s fans have a right to be mad, so let them blow off steam.

85.

SAY WHAT???

Thursday, November 5, 2009 /

@#81 yeah I would love to see her answer that question!

86.

LULU

Thursday, November 5, 2009 /

@ 78 you just contradicted yourself hunny. If they maybe advised her not speak then, then clearly she wasn’t speaking when she wanted to and therefore someone dictated it. I don’t doubt her sincerity, I commend it, but I don’t appreciate the intent behind her timing, which I’m 110% is a result of her handlers. If you want to be a role model, stand for something, but don’t try to turn such a traumatic event around for your gain.

Good for you Rihanna. She answered all the questions that I wanted to know the answer to. I don’t like her music, but I applaud her honesty. I like her a little better now.

Something still a little suspect about her talking when the album is coming out, but she’s alright with me.

TO ME SHE SEEM TO BE MOCKING THE SITUATION. NO SHE DIDN’T TELL DIANE “9 TIMES”, LIKE DON’T GET IT TWISTED EXPECT FOR ME TO GO BACK TO HIM NINE TIMES NOT SEVEN. I WOULD SAY SHE FAKED IT, BUT I DON’T EVEN THINK SHE PUT THAT MUCH EFFORT INTO IT.

She got beat the eff up. Business all on front street. Pictures all over. And somehow she’s “wrong” because she didn’t speak about it. WHAT THE HELL WAS SHE GOING TO SAY. “In reference to the picture you all saw, it really hurt. It was traumatizing. PS: I’m going on a stop abuse tour tomorrow”. And as far as her “flaunting her goods all up and down the street”. Blame the victim! Continues to be a society where the woman is guilty until you prove you didn’t want it, you didn’t provoke it or you didn’t hit the man first. What the hell was she suppose to wear? A tarp and a raincoat? Some of y’all watch too many damn movies. Like people who get abused need to look a mess. Some of them get up and go to work the next day looking flawless. Some of y’all need to be bust in the face one good time and have your business all over the internet and see what kind of hell that’d be. See what you’d have to say.

I don’t even like her music and won’t be buying the album, but shout outs to her for getting over this in the best way she knows how.

If this is true its very sad. Of course after all this time you could be coach to memorize every book in the bible by now. Love is blind. But please I hope she is not using this so people can feel so sorry for her in run out in by her album if it is not all true. Because she truly had know reason to stay in a relationship if he was beating her ass that bad. Not for money or security thats for sure in thats not even a reason. There are young girls that are truly watching her and I’m so sure she knock the living shit out of him a couple of times its not right but don’t get mad cause I’m calling us out it needs to stop both ways lets be real in lets be fair. We all need prayer its wrong either way you look at. Love is blind. It hurts until you open your eyes in see again. I guess RIRI finally open her eyes. That’s good because the outcome may have been even worse so to all girls in woman out there only god you in the other person know when its time to open your eyes in walk away. Don’t continue to live in darkness. You are so much better. That’s just my opinion please don’t shoot the messenger.

I’d be lying if I didn’t admit she seems to have been VERY prepped for this interview - no doubt she was. She just seems too prepared with her responses…though I’m not necessarily saying that some of doesn’t come from a genuine place. It’s just a little too “PC” and “the right message to bring.”

Anywho, that said, #4 (Kris in Dallas). I’m just trying to determine the relevance of your comment? What point are you trying to make? If it’s what I assume, it’s pretty darn pathetic - especially coming from a woman.

This bitch is doing this for her album, saying she is a voice for young women. If she wanted to do something for young women why didn’t she speak up months ago? All you have seen her doing is out partying and going to fashion shows but now she wants to be a role model. You Rihanna hams and stans can eat this interview up but she is fake as hell and doesn’t give a damn about anybody else who experienced domestic violence. I was a victim and it didn’t take me 9 months to speak to others to help them. This chick is lame and gets no support from me.

—-Okay it’s no suprise that the people in her camp would have her do a candid interview w/ Diane Sawyer a few weeks before the album comes out. Marketing/Publicity people..her people are doing their jobs and doing a great job i must say, b/c i know my ass will be watching…

—Now i like Rhianna, but i really am a Chrissy fan, just from the beginning i liked the kid. But listening to that tid bit of the interview kinda alters my perception a bit. I think that we all know that domestic violence never happens just once. Though i didnt want to think that this was some ongoing thing with the two, hearing her speak i know now that it happend more than once. I commend her on getting out of that situation though real talk. My mother was abused physically by my dad when me and my sister was coming up and Lord rest his soul, my momma should have gotten us all out of there a long time ago. It’s a cycle. My fathers, father beat his mother and so he had this instilled in him from his youth. So maybe some things happened with yourn Christopher too. I pray that he gets the help he needs as well. Anger Management and learn how to channel that anger elsewhere. I wont call him a bad guy, b/c i dont see him that way. My dad wasn’t a bad guy, just mis-directed one.

Rihanna is not setting an example for no one. I know y’all call me a hater but this chick is fake to the bones and in the end it will all be smacked back in her face. It took her 8/9 months to practice this stuff? I guess so, she put much time in after she walked the streets of New York, LA, Paris, all the while showing her tail and tits to them poor little girls that was so abused they could’nt even talk on the phone nor less look through them black eyes that were given in an actual domestic violence relationship. You proud of her? She let him go only after Def Jam and Jay gave her no other option and she then only did it out of the public’s eye, what Chris said was not a lie, she’s lying to sale. I keep forgeting in that span of time Rihanna had time to sneak around with Chirs but she had no time to visit shelters, make speeches, go on other talk shows that air on national television that would keep young girls away from monsters like Chris (wink). Better yet; Oprah the Queen of National television gave her the opportunity of her life and even let her pick the time and place, but the VOICE of the people here told her to go mind her own business! Wow! But now! she wants to air her soiled panties on national television weeks before her career advancing CD comes out. You can do a lot of things but in the end the truth wins and Rihanna is trying out for a role in a movie here! Lying heffa!

I do feel bad for Rihanna that all her business was put out in the air

I do like the fact that she is letting young girls know that a relationship of this nature is not healthy in the least..not only physical (let’s no forget mental abuse)

I DO AGREE THAT SHE SHOULD NEVER DATE CB AGAIN….

I DON’T LIKE THAT SHE IS NOT OWNING UP TO HER PART IN THE SITUATION,,DONT LIKE HOW SHE’S THROWING CHRIS UNDER THE BUS AGAIN..

I DON’T LIKE THAT NOW WHEN SHE HAS AN ALBUM COMING OUT SHE CHOOSES TO SPEAK ABOUT IT (HHHHHMMM FISHY)

i’m not condoning what CHRIS DID…HE COULD HAVE WALKED AWAY BUT HE DIDNT AND NOW HE’S PAYING A HUGE PRICE FOR HIS TRANSGRESSIONS..FIVE YEARS PROBATION, 6-MONTHS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE, A GOOD CHUNK OF FANS, HIS GOOD BOY IMAGE , he’s lost PRIDE, DIGNITY AND RESPECT PERHAPS PART OF HIS CAREER …what else should happen to him Rihanna’s fans …what? and I hope you have as much conviction with a lesser know women in the same situation because if not you opinion is mute…

that said

I will be buying CB’S ALBUM when it drops, because I like the songs he’s leaked so far

I won’t be buying Rihanna’s because I haven’t liked any of the songs she’s leaked…so unless she releases something that WOWS ME!!! her album will NOT SEE MY MONEY….

now I LOVE RIHANNA FOR HER IMAGE, SHE IS FLY AS HELL AND A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY…

THEN PRIVACY RIHANNA ? ARE YOU SERIOUS YOU WERE WALKING DOWN NEW YORK STREETS FOR THE PAST NINE MONTHS - LET PAPARAZZI RUN BEHIND YOU. I HAVE LOST ALL RESPECT FOR RIHANNA. YOU COULD HAVE DID THIS AWHILE AGO - NOW THAT YOUR ALBUM IS COMING OUT YOU WANT TO TRY TO TEAR CHRIS BROWN TO SHREDS. THIS GIRL IS ONE JOKE. I just loooove how people want to say she took too long to speak but if she had spoken right after the same ones would’ve been complaining that it was too much too soon. Why weren’t you upset that it took CB months to apologize and own up to it? Why is it ok that he has spoken about it all on the internet, on Larry King, on the radio but the victim should keep quiet? I bet none of you are mad that Chris pushed his album release date up either huh? Nothing if fishy about that to you? Obviously his team is scrambling to get that money now while they can because after Friday when the entire interview airs they know Chris will go back to hiding under a rock somewhere.
I applaud Rihanna for keeping it real. She could’ve lied but she was honest about how she put her own selfish desires in front of her responsibility to her younger fans. Most of the women on this site sound to me like they would go back too. Look how you defend Chris. If he hit you I guess you would be saying “Oh I made him do it. I provoked him. I deserved it”. @93, if your like most of us humans, you’ll realize there is a time and place for everything. I know how to dress for church vs how to dress for a club. What did you expect her to wear, the same clothes she would wear out partying to an interview. Look at what you are concentrating on, how she learned how to dress appropriately. People know when and how to dress according to the situation, you all don’t know this girl personally, so you can’t say she is not being genuine. Her eyes were clear and protrayed her emotions, and her body language clearly shows she was uncomfortable bringing up the incident, and finally letting it out.

I DON’T EVEN CARE TO WATCH THIS. I HATE WHEN CELEBRITIES ACT LIKE THEY “DIDN’T KNOW” HOW MUCH OF AN INFLUENCE ON SOCIETY THEY ARE UNTIL THEY ARE PLACED IN AN EMBARRASING SITUATION. TRUE ENOUGH THEY ARE JUST AS HUMAN AS EVERYONE ELSE BUT EVERYONE KNOWS THERE’S A PRICE TO PAY WHEN YOU BECOME AN ICON. THEIR ACCOUNTABILITY STILL REMAINS AND IT BEHOOVES ALL OF THEM TO BECOME WISER AND MORE DISCREET. NO ONE WILL EVER REALLY KNOW WHAT HAPPEND BETWEEN THEM AND SHE WILL NEVER DIVULGE HER TRUE ROLE IN THE INCIDENT. AIN MY OPINION, A MAN ISN’T JUST GOING TO SUDDENLY HIT A WOMAN OUT THE BLUE AND THERE ARE SIGNS LONG BEFORE HE DOES IF IT IS INDEED APART OF HIS NATURE. IF BEING A CELEBRITY CAUSES SO MUCH EMBARRASMENT, HEARTACHE, AND ALL OTHER SORTS OF ISSUES WHY DON’T PEOPLE WALK AWAY FROM IT? THEY SIMPLY CANNOT LET GO OF THAT OL’ MIGHTY DOLLAR. YOUR SANITY AND BEING IS WORTH FAR MORE THAN WHAT ANY STATUS CAN OFFER.
I DON’T CARE TO WATCH UNLESS SHE IS ISSUING A PUBLIC APOLOGY TO YOUNG GIRLS.
NEVER LET YOUR HEART OUTWEIGH YOUR INTELLIGENCE.

@107 what do you mean she isn’t owning up to her part in the situation. Just because you want to hear she hit him first does not mean it happened. Maybe she was mouthing off, and he couldn’t take the heat no more. Why does a woman have to explain why a man hauled off and hit her. What kind of mess is that. I have a feeling a lot of you allo CB defenders on here would take an abuser back over and over again and blame yourselves for getting hit. Justifying a woman beater is where we are at these days. Wow.

Rihanna will be criticised and envied no matter what she does. My heart truly goes out to her. She didn’t ask for this role of being a face for domestic violence but she is handling it admirably.

Isn’t interesting how most of the harshest and most insensitive feedback seems to be coming from other women? You ALL embarrass me!
If you know ANYTHING about preparing for performance or art for that matter, you’d appreciate her need for catharsis, given ANY difficult situation.
But as a human being, could you deal with airing her relationship so PUBLICLY the way she has? Wouldn’t you want to run miles from it too and not even deal with it?
Take away the celebrity status and wealth, and you have a young woman dealing with some serious pain.
And yes, Chris has shown remorse. And I think it would be great if he could mentor young men about it too. But why has NO ONE questioned why and WHEN he spoke out publicly?
It’s sad and pathetic that you feel you have to heap it all on Rihanna.

Good job Robyn. People on the inside know how it all really went down. The others are just speculating because they don’t want their fantasy man to be anything less than perfect. Even good looking guys can have a dark side. If more women would realize this maybe more lives could be saved. I’m glad you know your worth Robyn and didn’t fall into the trap of going back over and over again. I can tell your counseling is working too. You spoke well and you looked great. Now let’s get back to focusing on Nov. 23.

you know, even tough rihanna was walking the streets afterwards, chances are her people made her do that. her people definitely call the paps and judging by the fact that she never smiled, maybe it was because she was upset and was being forced to whore herself around. i also think it’s her team that is making her speak out right now because her album is coming out very soon. they need to save her image. regardless of what her stans say about how she’s speaking out before he album because they would ask her questions abut the incident anyway and she’s getting it out of the way, celebs for decades have been abstaining from commenting on certain situations. the problem is that not talking can affect your image- if she didn’t talk, i’m sure she would’ve lost some sympathy because people wouldn’t be able to identify with her. by talking she is salvaging that and she did a good job imo. whether or not this stuff was rehearsed or the emotions fake, i do believe in most of what she said. i do think she was embarrassed because here is a girl that puts on a tough girl image yet she allows herself to get dumb and stay with an abuser.

BUT i would never call her strong (i love how she had to call herself strong- i’m guessing that just like the hand gestures she memorized and repeated over and over for “wait is ova” just to look hard, she has to call herself strong to convince herself that she is) or courageous. i’ve seen dv firsthand in a household and riri had NO reason AT ALL to stay with this boy. she doesn’t have kids with him so she’s not breaking up a family unit, she is financially secure on her own, she is a celeb and has many many people and places to go to for help. she was weak and that’s why she remained in that situation. i’m sorry but i don’t have much sympathy for her especially when i see cb and his retarded self- what about that boy kept her staying for so long? love is sometimes flimsy- you have to take care of yourself first and she didn’t do that. why should i call her strong because she got smarter and left the relationship? she has more opportunities than the average battered woman and there was no excuse

WOMAN!!!

Thursday, November 5, 2009 /

I like her honesty, and that is only if she is being really honest. I hope she is being sincere in her interview, and its not an act to get empathy from the public. 1st, it’s a publicity stunt. 2nd, since she knows that they cant be in touch or communicate with each other that’s why she is laying it all out there. Its very clear that she is still in love with him. If Rihanna really felt that way about Chris, why was she against the order from the Judge? She was pushing it that there will be less restraints between the two of them. Only both of them know what happened that night. I find it hard to believe that as strong she seems to be that she was not abusing him also….And of course she the world will cry with her b/c she is a woman, and we saw that picture!!!1 Trust me, if there were no restraints Rhi Rhi would be with Chris as we speak. Rihnna’s mentor, Jay Z, is an abuser. There is a video of him shoving a woman. How come you all still sing along to his songs??? Ms. Oprah just had an abuser (BEBE) on her show…that should tell us something b/c she was the same woman bashing Chris for an abuser….There is a lot of hypocrites in this world. All of us are guilt of one or two things…..

It’s so sad how a lot of women on here don’t want to talk about the man in this. “Rihanna must have provoked him” “Alicia is more of a homewrecker than Swizz”. What is up, women?

How long it took her to speak on the incident is not really the issue. It’s the fact that her album and single is coming out and NOW is the time she decides to say ONE word on the whole thing? I dont respect that all….it could have been next year, it could have 10 years from now….but it’s as if this part of her promotion for her new album. that i find annoying…

@127 did Chris divulge his true role in the incident? Did he say with his own mouth, I Punched her, choked her, bit her, then put her in a headlock. NO. So why should rihanna say she started it, just to make you happy. IF rihanna don’t tell you that, you would never believe a man can be capable to hit a woman first right? SMH

i think it was so great for rihanna to come out an speak on the situation that happen it shows that it really hurt her to have the one she loved not care about her feelings b/c when your in a relationship that whats you want someone who cares about your thoughts and feelings and that wont hurt you and thats by your side through it all and chris was become the opposite for her from what im hearing so im very proud of her …she almost brought tears to my eyes …loves you ri ri

@ NEON
YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AT ALL. I HATE WHEN PEOPLE GET ON HERE AND MAKE RECKLESS COMMENTS ABOUT THINGS THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND. IT HAPPENS TO WOMEN FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE. THERE ARE WOMEN WITH MORE MONEY THAN RIHANNA BEING VICTIMIZED RIGHT NOW. LOVE IS BLIND AS SHE SAID. PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE EXACTLY THE REASON WHY MOST WOMEN DON’T COME FORWARD OR SPEAK OUT. JUST LOOK AT THE JUDGEMENT THIS WOMAN RECEIVES. SOCIETY CERTAINLY DOES NOT MAKE IT EASY FOR VICTIMS. I HOPE YOU NEVER HAVE TO EXPERIENCE WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE BRUTALIZED BY SOMEONE YOU LOVE. THE HURT, THE ANGUISH, THE CONFUSION, THE PAIN. I SAY SHE IS DAMN STRONG FOR GETTING AWAY AND SPEAKING OUT. SHE IS SAVING SOMEONE’S LIFE RIGHT AS SHE SPEAKS. I COULD GIVE LESS THAN A F*CK ABOUT WHEN HER ALBUM COMES OUT.

@ 112 I’m not picking her apart, I’m talking about the way it’s been handled. I understand that maybe she wasn’t strong initially, but her strength now is no coincidence with an album dropping in less than 3 weeks. When Ms. Thing was running around with purses that said ‘I’m Such a F’in Lady’ and her t**s hanging out of sheer dresses, why not talk then? Like I said, although her responses seem calculated like she was sat down and the possible questions/responses were gone over with her, I don’t doubt her sincerity. It’s just kinda messed up what her speaking up is really being used for, to buoy those record sales and keep an interest. She’s still a victim to the business.

All of this “she did it for album sales” talk is ridiculous. I doubt she wanted to address the incident publically AT ALL. But she has an album coming out. With albums come promo, and with promo comes questions, so she would have addressed it around the time of the album release REGARDLESS of whether she decided to do a special talk with Diane Sawyer or not. Some other interviewer would have asked her about it.

So I’m with Rihanna - tell your business ONCE to one reputable source so you don’t have to repeat it in every damn interview you do this era. What’s wrong with that? Hateful ass people on here!

Yes everything does come to light. Negroes that like to beat women are always exposed eventually. That temper will always flare up sooner or later. What’s done in the dark comes to light alright. Let Chris go on dancing, poplocking, and cuddling up with latina girls all over the place yucking it up having fun skinning and grinning. It won’t last long. He will fvck up again. Believe that.

@WOW lol please spare me that. like i said, i’ve been around it for most of my life and know victims but they were all women who were in the relationships for the sake of their children and for financial security. i KNOW that it happens to women in all walks of life but i have no sympathy for someone who is dumb enough to stay with an abuser because she is “in love”. and i’m supposed to give you a pat on the back when you leave the situation? she got smart and left- she’s not courageous to do so because she wasn’t risking anything except “love”. i think it’s sad that we look at these type of women (women who have all of the backing needed in order to leave and who have nothing holding them back from leaving except for petty emotion) and say ” aww she was in love- how brave to leave” as if women can’t be rational. that’s sexist to me and just supports stereotypes about women and our way of thinking. i’ve seen dv in my household as well and part of the reason why i’m at an ivy trying to get ahead in life is because my mother always told me that i need my own financial security so that i wouldn’t end up staying in an abusive relationship like she did. even she is confused about people like riri who can’t leave when they have so much help, so much money, so many people they can turn to. and then they become the face of dv which is a slap in the face to everyday women who are actually struggling. like i said, many of the things she said i understand (the embarrassment etc.) but i’m going to see her as a strong woman for leaving a man who is an obvious idiot
