TV BIT: RIHANNA’S FULL 20/20 INTERVIEW W/ DIANE SAWYER
Saturday, November 7, 2009
The Rihanna and Diane Sawyer 20/20 Interview Special premiered on Friday night and let’s just say it was very candid. Rihanna spoke in detail about her side of the story and even opened up about her childhood past with domestic violence. View Part 1 above and Part 2 below.
On what she said happened that night:
“I caught him in a lie. And he wouldn’t tell the truth … I was being more annoyed at that point in our relationship he had to lie about something so stupid. I couldn’t take that he kept lying to me. And he couldn’t take that I wouldn’t drop it. And … it was ugly.“I was bleeding. I was swollen in my face,” she said. “So there was no way of me getting home, except for, my next option was to get out of the car and walk. Start walking in a gown, in a bloody face. So I really don’t know what my plan was. I didn’t have a plan. That whole night was not part of my plan.”
On getting back with Chris:
“I don’t have a desire at all to be with him,” she said… I can’t see how we … would get back together, but I’m also not God and I can’t predict the future.”On whether or not she hates Chris Brown:
“I don’t hate him at all. I actually love and care about him and I’m concerned about him doing well. I want him to do well, have a great career, have a great life and grow up, and just take this as something that you had to go through to grow up and learn.” [ READ MORE QUOTES ]

“EQUALLY DANGEROUS” diane sawyer should have went in on that but they probably had some type of agreement before she even sat down for this interview. I think she left out what she may have done ie hitting him for getting the text oh well we will never know right….sometimes i feel like down the line theyre going to get back together

This interview is really disturbing to me………..
(1) Rihanna now wants to tell the full story with a CD coming out in “2″ weeks yeah.
(2) Rihanna tells full details that was not mentioned in the court room or media - I’ve ABC 20/20 paid her well
(3) Rihanna leaves Chris out to dry afraid his album will do better so she decided to remind the world of his actions one more time.
(4) Rihanna speaks for the first time amost 2 years later. (21 months ago) Why now?

1. How about she shupts up when he stops going on CNN/ the radio, youtube, twittering, etc? AND when did he start going on his media tour? After the goddamn trial ended. I mean seriously, if you don’t read, at least watch a damn Law & Order episode.
2. Girl makes a lot of money. She doesn’t need shit from ABC.
3. Chris Brown will always be remembered for this no matter what he does. His image has been damaged for ever. She didn’t need to remind the world shit.
4. I don’t know, maybe cause she felt like it. Did you really think she wouldn’t have to talk about this? Do you really think the media (and YOU) would’ve been satisfied with her never ever talking about it?
She had to discuss it to finally move on.

As a woman who is pursuing my PhD in psychology, I must say that more awareness and education is needed on this subject (and other mental health issues for that matter). It is quite apparent from the responses of some of the females in this post that many are painfully unaware of the realities of Domestic Violence. What many people do not understand is that Domestic Violence is a mental health issue, not just a legal issue. Domestic Violence represents a vicious cycle that people often learn in their childhood. Chris Brown and Rihanna both have childhood experiences dealing with this issue. In most cases (not ALL) boys grow up to become abusers and women grow up and enter abusive relationships; though there are exceptions to the rule. This may NOT be the case if there is early intervention for children. Many people on this post are trying to make logical sense of an issue that, often times, is illogical. Chris Brown has a problem with anger management. When people have a problem with this, they often react violently and in a physical manner. This is because they have difficulty MANAGING their anger and appropriately responding to a situation. This behavior is maladaptive and should not be excused, minimized, or trivialized. Is Chris Brown talented? Yes. But he is also struggling with aggression, control, and an inability to control his emotions. Instead of finding justifications for his behavior or minimizing this incident, we should be praying for him and hoping that he is able to seek the help that he needs. Rihanna’s childhood experiences put her at risk for being in an abusive relationship. Despite what you may think of her public persona, she is still a human who needs prayer as well.
Domestic violence is about power and control. The abuser wants to dominate the victim/survivor and wants all the power in the relationship-and uses violence in order to establish and maintain authority and power. Perpetrators of domestic violence are usually NOT sick or deranged, but have learned abusive, manipulative techniques and behaviors that allow them to dominate and control others and obtain the responses they desire.
Just to clarify, here is a definition of Domestic Violence: “Domestic violence constitutes the willful intimidation, assault, battery, sexual assault or other abusive behavior perpetrated by one family member, household member, or intimate partner against another” — National Center For Victims of Crime
Historically, most states required that you had to be a spouse or lived with an intimate partner for it to be considered Domestic Violence. However, due to the rise of dating violence, majority of states provide some level of statutory protection for victims of dating violence. This may be why some have not considered this situation to be an example of “real” Domestic Violence. Fine. We can call this situation Dating Violence, to be technical.
One thing I must clarify: Victim is not synonymous with “angelic”. In other words, calling an individual a victim does not mean we are implying that one is “perfect” or “angelic”. Therefore, there is really no need to discuss how “innocent” Rihanna may or may not be. Victim refers to the recipient of the “willful intimidation, assault, battery, sexual assault or other abusive behavior perpetrated by one family member, household member, or intimate partner”. In this case, the victim was Rihanna.
TO THE WOMEN: I must say, I am disappointed by some of the comments I have read. I understand you are a fan of Chris Brown and his music, but please do not confuse his public image with “knowing” him. I understand you may not be a fan of Rihanna or her music, but please do not use this as an excuse to attribute ALL of the blame on her. This behavior says more about you than it does about her. It is NEVER okay to be BEATEN this way. Nothing justifies this.
I mean all of this in love! Hope this gives some insight!!! Sorry for the long post
!!

@Nothing but Love. I believe she didn’t hit him first either. But most importantly even if she did, he’s so much BIGGER and STRONGER than she is, how could it be fair? I mean Chris Brown is tall and all muscles, Rihanna could never have hurt him bad enough for him to retaliate like that.He didn’t punch her once, he kept on hitting her repeatedly. And that’s what qualifies him as an abuser, in my eyes.
And @mothernature, the only reason I take this personally is because a LOT of young women think it’s OK to get beaten by a man. That it’s no big deal. And it is. Because if a man HURTS you like that, beats your face like that, then next time it might be worst.

I don’t understand why some people seem to think that she should have said something in YOUR time. YOU DIDNT GO THROUGH THIS!!!! YOU ARE NOT HER!!! she talked about it what she wanted to. The fact is non-famous people don’t have to talk about things like this with the world but she has to cause she is famous and has no privacy, so she can take as long as she wants. Plus with her new album coming out every interview she would have done would have been about that night and not about her music. I think it was fair that she is talking about it now and in this way so she can get on with her life. In the time between the incident and the interview she had every right to be doing what ever she wanted to do. If she want to go out she’s allowed to she doesn’t need your permission. What you fail to realize photos on gossip sites always seem to paint a different picture and don’t have the true story behind them.
WHY DO PEOPLE STILL THINK THAT SHE MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING?!?! The guy flipped. Actually she did do something to provoke him… she questioned him about the text :s and so what if that pissed him off. Im sorry but he’s reaction should have been Im sorry NOT!!! I don’t want to talk about it! Drop it! SLAP!!! :s
There is nothing fake about this. Its very personal thing to share and she is very confident in what she is saying cause its the truth. Watch this interview then watch Chris’s Larry King interview again and pick which one seems more sincere.
I like what she says as the very end. He need to stop feeling sorry for himself. Fair enough the courts didn’t give him jail time but if he said you know what I deserved jail time, I would start to think that he was understanding the seriousness of the situation. He’s down playing it! He’s in denial and thinks it not him!!! BUT he did it!!! He need to admit to what happen and say it was his fault. On Larry King he didn’t want to say what started the fight out of respect to Rhianna. :s He didn’t want to say that he started it cause he was cheating and she got pissed off which she has every right to be. He didn’t want to admit it out a respect for himself. He wants his innocent/good guy image back. I think he deserves a second chance but he needs to realize that you don’t go about by acting like your the innocent one.

In my opinion, Rihanna and Chris Brown are both as bad as each other.
Rihanna does sound like a robot, maybe because she is nervous in this interview? So I’d understand. However it’ true, she doesn’t have much of a personality, she’s pretty bland.
Plus, I don’t know why is she slouching like that.

Up until February, I preferred Chris over Rhi any day - he’s more talented, writes his songs, and sells out entire tours.
Up until recently, I couldn’t even listen to a song of his, or watch one of his vids because of what he did.
People please imagine that this happened to your sister or mother - even if she hit him, does it mean that he should have hit her back? My brother has always been told that, no matter what, a guy never hits a girl. What happened to that? And to the females on here who are saying this, does that mean what he did was right?
No. It does not.
I truly feel sorry for her, for what she went through. It’s terrible and should never have happened. To anyone.
For me, it doesn’t matter if it’s Chris Brown ( someone who I used to stan for), it could have been anyone. I fear people are just saying these things because he’s famous. We should never put anyone on a pedestal. He’s just human like the rest of us, and entitled to make mistakes and He’s still young. Thankfully, he seems to have learned from this. Sadly, the experience seems to have affected both of them a lot and I don’t think they’re past it, yet; Rhi’s eyes still look sad, even when she’s smiling - which is perfectly understandable.
Hopefully he can come through this and go on to have a successful career because he’s extremely talented, but I’m just not sure whether I’ll ever be able to look at him in quite the same way again…
Peace.

I lost respect for Rihanna. The fact that she took this long to speak, all the holes in her story and blatant lies she is telling is atrocious!! This story has been beat to death & resurrecting it via interview a few weeks before your album drops is just plain pathetic! Chris was wrong..yes! But he is not the only guilty party here..she said it herself..”THINGS ESCALATED”..I’m sure it wasn’t all on his side! And the fact that she JUST NOW wants to speak on domestic violence and show some concern, is pure evidence that she really DOESN’T care… this is all a ploy to sell records. It’s just unfortunate that Chris has to continuously have his named dragged through the mud for her gain.

I think yall are being waaay to hard on them. First of all, Rihanna and Chris don’t own the media ANYTHINGGG. Them coming out and saying the “truth” is a favor to us. All of this should really be kept in the courtroom. Having said that, Chris made some interviews about it,but in all honesty, they dont really tell us anything at all what happened. At least Rihanna was candid and kept it real in ONE interview. She doesnt seem to be hating on Chris or anythin, she really seems like she is telling us what happened. Personally, if i just stepped out of an abusive relationship, i wouldn’twant to be bestfriends with the guy. Most women wouldn’t either. Give her a break!!

My conclusion is that Chris Brown is immature and needs to grow up and become a MAN. Rihanna needs a real man not a boy when she is ready to and she is still young yet to really truly know about love I think. I am 1 yr older than her and have had a relationship but do not think I have been in true love. I still like them both as artists. Hopefully now she has given this interview she won’t be discussing it again.

I just want to say to Rihanna that am proud of her very much it takes alot of courage to stand up and tell the story. As for the people who think that what you did is in correct and judge you for the stupid little things you did when you were younger need to get a life and also try a day or night at getting they faces bashed in for any reason, it doesn`t matter what the situation was we are not in the slavery days no man has any right to put his hand on any woman in any way other than a gentle one.
I say girl you came from the part of the world where some dreams aren`t realistic I know this all to well because am also from the Caribbean I am also aware of what domestic violence really means there, I can say focus and all the things that you dreamed or imagined when you were a kid and dreams were all you had and do it all and God shall send all the rest your way.. I can’t even read these dumb ass posts anymore…”oh it doesn’t make sense that he just beat her up because of a text message” No shit, dumbass!!!! Do your research it doesn’t take much to set off someone that anger problems. She didn’t have to physically touch him to provoke him. If he had shoved her into a wall before he had already broke that physical barrier of respect, so beating her till she was swollen and bleeding probably didn’t even click in his mind.
And for all you other stupid people that are saying she was coached and contradicted herself, you have the same sick mindset as your idol, chris brown. When a person is emotionally attached to someone, but has been battered by them, it’s normal for your emotions to contradict your mind. It’s obvious she still cares for him and wishes him well, but doesn’t ever want to be with him….who would want to be with someone that beat you up like that???
And all this team chris nonsense is ridiculous. I wish all you young girls could see the him for the person he was on that night….the person that would ruthlessly beat someone he “loved”….then try to shout out team chris after seeing that.

Y’all are saying that the interview was twisted for Chris to look bad. I’m thinking… Shouldn’t he look bad? Was not what he did … Bad?
She may sound like she is contradicting herself but to b in a situation like that wouldn’t u have conflicting feelings. That’s what happens in domestic abusive relationships. U love him but…. This and thatt.
Maybe you cb fans r mad he got thrown under the bus …. But why should he not be? Are we supposed to pat him on the back and be like good job?
I hope we can move on from this situation. I really am not interested in hearing anymore about it.

I think most people were expecting her to make excuses for Chris and take some of the blame (like most domestic violence victims would), instead she really did throw him under the bus…
If Chris Brown was going upside her head for “not dropping it” this incident would’ve gone public much sooner, so its more likely she got angry and went upside his head and he snapped.
Honestly, I’m sure this chick has people around her telling her she needs to do this and coaching her every step of the way.
Unfortunately, America loves victims and now they have one.
Funny how women are more than happy to play the weaker sex when it benefits them…

I have visited this site and never made a comment on this situation but i got to say something. It amaze me how women on CL are so emotionally involved and ignorant about this situation. You people need to really grow and get your own lives and stop living it through these celebrities that when you clearly see one of them doing wrong you find any patethic excuse for them. What did she do? Questioning him is not going to set him off like that. WHAT! are you serious? Abusive people period can be set off for not walking fast enough so if you keep questioning someone caneasily set an abusive person off. You women are so clueless. Has Ike and Tina taught you anyhing? It people like you all are what keep women in abusive relationships because you all make it there faluts that they are getting there butt kicks.
It’s so twisted that you all are telling her when to talk and what not to talk about. She’s the victim not you! If you don’t like her personally, musically (etc) fine your entitled to that, but at least some kind of human compassion for the young woman.
I feel sorry for Chris do to the simple fact that he has become something he himself hates an abuser. His interview had me feeling bad for him in the simple that he said he grew up around in a abusive relationship as a young child. Statistic tells us that more than likely you’ll become one yourself. No way condoning what he did but it shows that he himself is a victim of a vicious cycle. Somethings affect us more than we think. I don’t feel Chris is bad person and I think he will come out of this better but I don’t think he gets the full gravity of the situation. They both need to sit down somewhere and get the needed they both equally need.

This is an unfortunate situation and both are victems. Chris Brown and Rhianna are products of witnessing domestic violence as children and I am sure both have not had counseling prior to this incident to even deal with the impact that it can have. It appears as if it was an isolated incident in which he assaulted her, not a repeated pattern which is what usually defines domestic violence. We often forget that domestic violence is not just about women being abused; it can go both ways, men can also be victems of domestic violence and it does not always have to be physical assault, it can also be emotional and verbal abuse. His actions were not right, however; the whole story has not been told and we as onlookers will never know. He has admitted that his actions were wrong and he is getting counseling which is the first step and I commend him for that. She should also get some counseling, I did not hear her mention that in this interview. I will still continue to support him as an artist because he has a gift and is very talented. In life, God gives us trials and lessons and it is up to us to learn and keep growing.

1. Rihanna & Chris have stated that Rihanna didn’t hit him beforehand.
2. Not every abuser needs to have a legitimate reason to go off.
3. I hope it never happens to your mother or sister. I hope you won’t be making the same excuses for the abuser.
4. As long as Rihanna didn’t do what he did to her, Chris’ actions can NEVER be justified.
5. Whether Rihanna did this around her new album release, is besides the point. She still the one who got beaten up. She was going to be confronted about it at some point anyway. And who are you to tell someone when to be ready to talk about it?
6. Don’t judge them for life. They’re young, let them deal with this and grow from this.
7. However, someone teach Chris Brown how to ar-ti-cu-late & stop slurring.

I am one of Rihanna biggest haters but for the most part I think she was telling the truth. Not to sure on weather she has ever hit Chris or not. I still find it hard to beleive that he bit her for no reason. When somone bites you most of the time it because you have them in an uncomfortable position and they bite their way out. In my opinion. However I totally felt her on why she went back. How she stated the whole world turned on him…….and when she stated she went back and couldn’t stand to see his face, or hear him talk, and her lying telling him she still loves him. It made perfect sense not to mention I LMao when she said it. She got to thinking about it ,like wait a minute this nig just beat the hel out of me. However I still choose not to support Rihanna because of the witch allergations her or Beyonce the “twitches” and on top of that at this point her music is SUCKN. Russian was the hottest song dropped if she would have changed the title and a few words as far as the beat, melody it was bannanas but I refuse to support some BS like that. On top of that the DARK image seem to be irrelevant to the horrible music and the music seems to be pointless. I wish she could go back to the drawing board. I heard the majority of the CD and it has to be one of her worst CD’s and one of the worst CD’s out. This music she is about to drop is going to take her down a couple of notches and I see potential to take Rihanna to the top. She tripped with the DARKNESS for no reason. The lyrics make no sense, the image does not go with the music and I am not feeling it. I wish her the best and she should X this album and go back to her SOS days and I promise she will shoot to the top.

STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!
I couldn’t even get through reading all of the comments because the majority of you on here are just that - stupid!
How can you say Rihanna is lying because she HAD to have done something for him to go off like that? Obviously you guys don’t know that there are thousandssss of women sitting in their homes with their abusive husbands who just got beat - their only wrong doing? Not filling up his cup of juice. Did she do anything to provoke that? No. So why is it so hard to believe Rihanna didn’t provoke him? Like she said she wouldn’t drop the fact that he got a text from his ex - maybe he was annoyed and just wanted her to shut up so he beat her. She didn’t have to slap him to get him to react that way !!!!
Rihanna doesn’t OWE Chris anything! So why should she keep her mouth shut?! He beat her yet you guys are saying out of respect she should keep quiet?! Are you serious?! And OBVIOUSLY Chris isn’t going to say anything because WHY would he say what HE did to HER?! Does that make sense to any of you???? Who tells an interview how they beat a person up. Lol .. some of you have no sense/DO NOT think!
And how is she lying when throughout the interview she tried to make Chris still look kinda good? She didn’t say “yeah I hate him and he deserves whatever he gets, he’s a worthless piece of trash” .. she didn’t say that .. she tried to make him not look as bad and put aside the rumours that he was abusive.
If you are supporting Chris instead of Rihanna/bashing Rihanna then there is something seriously wrong with you.

I thought that was really uncalled for, he didnt do her like that!
I’m kinda hoping that was sarcasm, because two people can’t be that stupid, so I sure as hell don’t believe one person can be.

I don’t think she loves him like that. Like she said once she went back she got to thinking about it. Once she got to looking at his face realizing what he did and all she stood to lose. She couldn’t even stand the sight of him or his voice and how she was lying to him like she still loves him. That part made perfect sense to me. Thats all I ask is that you make sense of what you are talking about. I also beleive her when she stated that she didn’t realize the affect that it would have on young girls…….

I’m actually tired of both their a**es….BUT, when you go through someone’s phone LOOKING for trouble you will FIND it…she HAD NO BUSINESS reading his texts unless he asked her to(we all know he didn’t)…of course he shouldn’t have beat her up like that but she isn’t 100% innocent either….
Her interview may have been “better” than his but she also should have done the interview MONTHS ago, not when her cd was about to drop…drumming up sympathy sales, etc…if she REALLY wanted to be a “voice” she should have spoken out when the incident was fresh on everyone’s minds…does she know how many more women(and men) were abused during the period she was silent? She could have done wonders…
There is something off with both of them and there really is no “team Chris” or “team Rhianna’”…they both need mental help….

@74, not all women resort to violence when they catch someone they love in a lie. They get into an argument. Why is it that even when she said she didn’t hit him, and it was an argument, people are still reaching for more. She gave more of an insight than Chris ever did, and she is still getting villified. He went on MTV and basically said he messed up, and did it out of anger. Still up to now,he haven’t said she hit him first, but people on a blog want to assume she did.

you all keep saying something was missing from rihanna’s interview, but everything, was missing from Chris’s , but you all still on here defending him. THe only answer he had in his interview was he don’t know how it happened. I got a whole lot more answered in rihnann’s interview, and because you all don’t like her, you all on here supporting the person who went blank and gave her a solid beating. He’s admitted it, her interview is corraborating it, so why are people still blaming her.

some people don’t know the pattern of abusers. Sometimes when an abuser can’t stand you talking back to him, or asking him why he did this or that, he goes off and sock you just to shut you up. Most abusers can’t take challenges. THey want you to shut up and stay in your place, and don’t ask them SHi*. THey can’t stand gettting heated, so they get violent plain and simple. The abuser is the one who is responsible of keeping their emotions in check. The person they attack should not have to answer questions as to what did you do to set him off. No one asked the DC sniper’s wife that, when he randomly started shooting others, over his anger at her, because everyone knew it was nothing she could have done to set his actions into motion.

@dee, chris did his interview in the same time frame, so why aren’t you trying to say he is looking for sympathy sales as well. This is not her first album release, so why should she need sympathy sales when this is her fourth album she’s putting out, and has already secured her fan base.

OMGGG I can NOTTT believeeee some of the comments i am readin write now. Seriously i am actually gettin pissed off just sittin here, lookin at my computer screen. Can some of u even HEAR yourselves? “She must have done something 2 provoke him”?? I dont care WHAT a female says 2 a guy, he should never EVER put his hands on her. Even if she slaps him round the face, i don’t care, he should not lay a finger on her because it is a well-known fact that men are physically stronger than females, instantly makin it an unfair fight. And Chris Brown himself has even said in an interview that SHE DID NOT TOUCH HIM FIRST, so all of u goin 4 the whole “Ohh, he musta been provoked” spiel can just sit down wit that BS! It was a verbal argument and then he just went 4 her. Lord KNOWSS I aint a RiRi fan. I went off of her after watchin her perform live 4 the first time, decidin that she cannot sing, dance, generally entertain, and then 2 to top it all off, the chick can’t even write/produce her own stuff in a day and age when even ppl lyk Britney are realisin that an artist needs at least SOME song writin credits on their album if they want credibility. I used to ADOREEE chris brown and still admire his talent but u dnt see ME makin excuses 4 him. He even said in the first statement he released (the one where he was wearin a red shirt) that he’s “not about to sit there and make any excuses”, so why are some of u? Cause he’s famous and u like a a couple of his traks? Well i’m sorry, that just aint good enough for me. You all KNOW that if this was your sister, your mother or even just some girl you’d seen around, u would be sayin different. So don’t be yet another one of those ‘yes’ ppl, who in the end don’t actually help these celebs with your excuses, but rather just make them feel they are, as RiRi so rightly put it, INVINCIBLE. They are human beings. Remember that…

No one was there! We don’t know what happened in that car. I ‘m sure Chris would have not just beat Rihanna if she did not provoke him to do so! If that was the case, we would have seen signs in the early part of their relationship. This would have not just have happen over one incident! I think both of them were wrong. Chirs was definitely wrong for hitting her, but she was just a wrong if she hit him! If Rihanna beat her brother a$$, we don’t know how many a$$ beating Chris Brown received before he clicked. Sometimes we click without thinking. I have done it. You all have done it! This was his time doing it. I would have had more sympathy for Rihanna if I wouldn’t have known what she did to her brother which she said out of her own mouth! She isn’t that innocent! Domestic violence is wrong especially if it is repeated! It is definitely wrong if it was a man or a woman. She was violence against her own brother. Would you all consider her as a man beater? Domestic Violence on her part? Do you think? I am not taking Chis ’s side, but I am not going to take her side either.

I BET A BILLION DOLLARS IF THERE WAS A CAMERA IN THAT CAR INSTEAD OF CALLING CHRIS BROWN EVERY NAME IN THE BOOK, 95% OF YOU WOULD BE SAYING “DAMN, I ALMOST WOULDA BEAT THE S**T OUT OF HER TOO!?” LMAO. NOT CONDONING ABUSE IN ANYWAY, JUST BEING A NONBIASED, REAL, HONEST PERSON ABOUT IT AND SAYING THAT CHRIS DID NOT BLACKOUT FOR NO REASON AT ALL AND THE BITCH IS OBVIOUSLY LYING. THE FACT THAT SHE IS LYING ABOUT IT, ONLY MAKES ME BELIEVE THAT SHE DID SOMETHING SO INCREDIBLY BAD THAT IT ALMOST WARRANTS HER ASS WHOOPING AND SHE KNOWS THAT IF SHE TOLD THE TRUTH ABOUT IT MORE PEOPLE WOULD SAY SHE DESERVED IT? OTHERWISE WHYYYYYYY LIEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
F**K ALL OF YOU IGNORANT BASTARDS WHO ARE SWALLOWING THIS FAKE ASS SCRIPTED, REHEARSED, LIE FILLED, PIECE OF GARBAGE! DIANNE SAWYER HAS DESTROYED THE “LITTLE” BIT OF RESPECT I HAD FOR HER. AND RIHANNA JUST REINFORCED WHAT THOSE OF US ALREADY KNEW. CHRIS BROWN DIDNT JUST BLACKOUT FOR NO REASON AT ALL?!?! IF YOU BELIEVE THAT, THEN LEMME BORROW A MILLION DOLLARS OR THE PLANET WILL EXPLODE TOMORROW. LOL. ITS NEVER 100% OK TO BEAT A WOMAN’S FACE IN, BUT PLEEEEEEEEASE BELIEVE THAT SHE PUSHED HIM TO DO IT. HE DIDNT DO IT FOR NO REASON. AND THIS IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR CHRIS BROWN. ITS THE COMMON SENSE TRUTH!!!

@sharon she didn’t beat her brother. She said they fought. Mutual combat. I fought with my sister when I was younger, and we sometimes used sticks or whatever we found to fight with, but that don’t mean I have a pattern of abuse, because I have never hit my husband. So that theory is not believable to me. Not because chris never showed a pattern before does not mean he couldn’t do it for the first time. There is a first time for everything. Plus many people abuse in secret, they just don’t get caught.

Hmmmm…I didn’t say he should have beat her a**….I am not now justifying his actions and I never have but I also know that not all victims tell the truth 100% of the time and there are 3 sides to every story…hers, his and God’s…there is always more to a story than what is given in interviews so just because I (or anyone else) don’t believe Rhianna all the way or thinks there is more to the story it does not mean folks are “ignorant” or have “issues” or whatever…it’s our right to think what we want and we don’ ‘t have to fall in line with everyone else’s way of thinking…we could say that everyone else is dumb for just blindly believing Rhianna’s version of the story….we weren’t there…none of us…

SHE DID NOT HAVE TO HIT HIM 4 HOM 2 HIT HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a loving man I hit him once and he never hit me.( the hitting is over! it started with me hitting my peer, not fithing though, because I am not a fighter, but a victim) It has a lot 2 do with your past.
I love Chris and Rihanna. I came from an abusive home. My father was an abuser, hitting my mom, my brothers and I always in the middle confused and crying. It is hard, you grow up and it takes years to get over it.( ESPECIALLY WITH NO CONCELLING)
They are both educated people. Mom left. I cannot understand y somepeople is bashing her, she is young and this can b confusing.
She took a long time to come out, because it is not easy. You negative people need to be educated.
I still love Chris for trying. Rihanna needed to let it out. I love u all.
