Since their collaboration on Beyonce’s hits “Video Phone” and “Diva,” as well as Mario’s “Break Up,” singer/producer/songwriter, Sean Garrett, whose career as an artist has kind of gotten off on a slow note, has been getting it in with producer, Bangladesh.
They team up again on “Up In Your Heart,” featuring Gucci Mane, which is slated to be the new single from Sean’s oft delayed debut album, formerly titled Turbo 919, which has never seen U.S. release.
Eh, it’s aiight.
At this point I don’t really expect anything groundbreaking from these two. Track is a little weird, kinda like Dirty Money’s ‘Love Come Down’ but worse.
Yeah, it’s decided, not a fan. At least Love Come Down actually has substance.

The reason why people like Sean Garrett don’t seem 2 succeed as an artist the way they succeed as a producer/writer, is because (& I mean this wit the utmost respect) times r different. The industry ain’t what it use 2 be. Alot of people in the buisness can’t seem 2 learn their place. People need 2 “STAY IN THEIR LANE,”
“learn your place,” “stick 2 what you do best.” I think that this is 1 of many reasons 90′s music was so much better & successful, because back in those days, artists were artists & writers were writers.
But nowadays, the 2 sides are merging….”A Little Toooooo Much!”
Everybody wants 2 be at the 4-front (writers, producers, stylists & even the fans)
Basically, in the words of Martin Payne “Everybody Wants 2 Be A Star!”
Some producers/writers actually do succeed, but lets keep it 100, everybody can’t be Kanye! Some writers r just better @ writing/producing than performing.
