Last night, the 2010 Grammy Award Nominees were announced!
This year, Beyonce leads Grammy nominations with 10 nods, including the most coveted Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year Awards, all for her contributions from her latest studio album, I Am… Sasha Fierce.
Following behind her with the second highest nominations is Taylor Swift, with 8 nominations, followed by Maxwell, Black Eyed Peas, and Kanye West, with 6 nods, while Lady Gaga, Jay-Z and David Guetta pull in 5 nominations.
The 52nd annual Grammy Awards will air on January 31, 2010, live at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Can’t say I’m surpised. Luved Bey’s album but I think that Gaga should have received just as many noms. Kanye was def snubb for Album of the year. And it’s not right at all that Whitney didn’t get any noms. That being said, I am very excited about the show and can’t wait!

I’m pulling for Maxwell this year, sorry. He’s been overlooked for years, and given the categories he’s in, which surprised me, it’s well-deserved. I also will be disappointed if Ledisi or Melanie Fiona don’t take It for best R&B Female that Beyonce is also in. I’m happy for Beyonce, but I have no idea why she got Album of the Year nomination. The majority of her nominations are focused around 2 songs, kinda like back in 2003 (well one song then–Crazy In Love).
Sorry but what does her work ethic actually have to do with the material on her album? She shouldn’t be in some of those catergories….I’m just saying. She’s a great entertainer….has a great voice, but that album was garbage compared to most of people who got snubbed. Oh well. 10 Nom’s…I just don’t see it.

Well she should have look at all the people who workerd and wrote songs on her album ( grammys homepage will tell you) Not that much creativity came from her. Taylor Swift, I dnt like her music, but she had the least help of creative input on her album. I am soooooo mad that India Aire didnt get nominated for album of the year. Music is suppose to be inspirational, creative, thought provoking, soothing, and her album was all of that plus more. I guess its not about the music anymore

Beyonce works hard but who doesn’t. Beyonce has her but kissing fans and her regular fans who support her to thank. They will support her no matter what her music sounds like. It’s all about the numbers. No one else is up to par Beyonce is so so so far ahead of everyone (on the black side of music). There is and has not been hope for someone else to win something. No telling when it will be. Go stans go!!

If youre a singer, u are not there to write your own songs, u dont even have to dance, those are options, all u gotta do is SING with the mic, thats it, u dont have to produce either, you are a SINGER first! I am a Beyonce fan and “I am Sasha Fierce” dissapointed me. The Beyonce side was a flop minus Halo. 3 out of 5 songs on the Sasha side was cool and 1 was OK the other one NO. So I just wanted to say as a fan her last CD was not her best work. If you think about it the single ladies video saved her, not the song the video, and Halo, Diva it was a hood song it was cool. I hope she comes better next time. We still friends LOL but I had to give my 2 cents on the album have a nice day.

I wish my hometown girl the best but “I Am….” was/is not worthy of album of the year. I wanted a refund as soon as I heard the album. To date her best album was her debut; Dangeroulsy in Love.

I think it is interesting that about a month ago, we all thought that we would be talking about Rihanna’s album sales. She had this highly anticipated album, all these high profile interviews and now look. Her album tanked during its first week. Barely outselling Lady Gaga’s re-release, coming in 4th place. I think both Rihanna stans beyonce stans, Rihanna, Def Jam, alla these blog, thought this album would do good considering how much publicity she has gotten in the past 6 months. But the facts are, that the album and her singles have not done well. AND NOW LOOK. The real talk of the town is BEYONCE who has 10 Grammy nominations. I am very proud of her. she works hard and deserves it. And Maxwell who also deserves it.
