Noooo not Lupe! He’s one of the few rappers who’s music I look foward to. This is very dark and goth, he’s become a clone. This is the type of look and music a lot of others are doing. He’s sold his soul and crossed over to the dark side. That’s what the song is about. Note how in the begining after he puts on his hoodie and walks towards the sun. He also mentions the sun in his lyrics. Sun worship. He’s wearing the skull and bones on his wrist making sure to show us his affiliation. He’s throwing up the el diablo as well. Triangles all in the background…smh.
I checked out his mixtape. He raps a lot about levitation. His style is like the other rappers not really saying anything anymore, no substance. And he’s confused. He said he doesn’t trust America because he saw Zeitgeist then turns around and says “I run the game, Bilderger group in the league with the flash”.

I knew he was going to switch up when he toured with Kanye, who was probabaly was his mentor. Makes sense now why he grew his hair out and didn’t cut it for a while during the same time along with Jay and Kanye.
He knew people would see through the gimmicks so he came out with the comment on his site as a preemptive strike to silence those who see through him, his comment doesn’t even relate to why I am saying he sold out.
@Neon…theres absolutely nothing wrong with growing as an artist as long as you stay true to your core values..I always pegged Lupe as the kind of artist who had alot to say..someone who was beyond your usual pop sensationalism and brought out the type of music where every song no matter how seemingly trivial made you think. I know he’s not truly mainstream so I’m not sure if this is his attempt to garner a broader range of fans. I absolutely admire the man’s talent so until he does something wrong then I have nothing bad to say about him. Like i said, if he’s happy with it then I’m content as well.

Seriously, for the folks talking about this is not Lupe’s style they must not have followed his music (or Listened to The Cool) b/c he has alot of rock inspired songs on their that I dig. He is a true artist that is not influenced by one genre but that does what he feels (be it hip hop, rock, jazz etc).

Lol, Lupe been sold out from the start. Watch the “Kick Push” video. At the 0:25 second mark, there is a flag waving with the Baphomet symbol. Listen to the lyrics. The first verse is about the alleged banishment of Satan, the second verse refers to the banishment of Adam and Eve, and the third verse is about the confusion put on mankind after they attempted to build the Tower of Babel. None of the artists that they allow to blow up or that you see on television or these award shows are upright in the least. They are all students of esoteric theology i.e. Hinduism, Buddhism, Cabbala, etc., all pawns for the New World Order, and all blatantly against the Most High and his Word. That’s why Lupe ends each verse with “just a REBEL, looking for a place to go….”. The so-called “conscious” rappers are just as, if not more wicked, than these mainstream cats. Their job is to cause confusion and make the listener who is looking for music with content think that there are alternatives.
