Rumors swarmed earlier this month that Beyonce will release an album in 2010, and the leaking of two new tracks hasn’t helped. The first is “Black Culture,” a previously recorded song that may or may not have originally had the Michael Jackson sample from “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough,” originally produced by Quincy Jones, before his untimely death.

The second cut is “Waiting,” produced by the production team, Stargate. No word on whether this track comes from the I Am… or B’Day sessions, considering that she worked with them on both albums. Bey is currently still on her I Am.. tour.

The difference between Aretha and Beyonce is that with Aretha the public does not have to endure a relentless marketing and promotional campaign for a year when she puts out an album. With Beyonce we do. And it has gotten annoying. Even for many of her fans. Could be why her tour was not a sellout…enough is enough for right now.

I believe that these songs were leaked on purpose to get the feedback from the media. I love B but take a break, brush up to some skills such as the lyrical content of her music. Her music is good and of the NOW but ten years from now is ‘video phone’ going to strike a cord in your life once your an adult.

1) Bey needs a classic like DIL (that’s my fav beyonce time period)
2) Waiting and Black Culture should be trashed and she should leave this whole style of music alone–period. BC doesn’t even seem like its about BC, and if it is about it, we are so much MORE than “shakin it”! I hope she wasn’t lookin for this to be an anthem hit like James Brown “black and proud”. #failure. I like ‘waiting’s beat.. go stargate, but hate her overly done voice on it, thus #failure again.
Side Note: CL is special because they don’t always talk about Rih and Bey and JayZ. (I’ll admit, I’ve been away 4 a min. because that’s all I saw here for quite a while.) But content wise- I love the richness of their content, from politics to new artists, and sites like NB haven’t been doing this as of late (I’m starting to read about Trey Songs and Nicki M and other unimportant celebs too much), so I’m thank 4 CL for providing a well informed site)
