COUPLED UP: JOHN & CHRISSY DO SOME LAST-MINUTE SHOPPING

John Legend and girlfriend Chrissy Teigen do some last-minute shopping at Barneys New York on Tuesday (December 22).

Christmas came earlier this month for the singer who purchased a one-bedroom condo in the East Village for just under $2 million which has 14-foot-ceilings and views in every direction.

WHITE HOUSE: PRESIDENT OBAMA VISITS BOYS & GIRLS CLUB + RESPONDS TO BLACK CRITICS

President Barack Obama took time out of his busy schedule to read the Polar Express to children at the Boys and Girls Club of Washington on Monday (Dec. 21).

In an interview with April Ryan of American Urban Radio Networks on Monday, the President responded to black critics who say he hasn’t done much for Black America:

“The only thing I cannot do is, by law, I cannot pass laws that say ‘I’m just helping black folks.’ I’m the president of the entire United States. What I can do is make sure that I am passing laws that help all people, particularly those who are most vulnerable and most in need. That in turn is going to help lift up the African-American community.”

‘ROUND THE WAY: T.I. RELEASED FROM PRISON EARLY

According to a BET.COM report, sources from Atlantic Records have confirmed that T.I. was released from prison, just in time for Christmas.

The news comes to a surprise to the entire industry as T.I. was slated to serve at least three more months at the Arkansas Forrest City prison. The rapper was abruptly released from the facility and is currently in route to Atlanta to serve the rest of his time in a half way house.

According to XXL and T.I.’s defense lawyer, Steve Sadow, the superstar rapper will live in a dormitory style half-way house.

“You live within this house that is broken into areas for living, and you are permitted to leave during the day for certain reasons of which would be employment, medical reasons, things of that nature, and you return to the halfway house in the evening. So it’s a restriction on your liberty but it’s a way for you to reenter into society and not be confined within a jail type institution 24-hours a day.”

That was fast! You know some new music will be coming soon.
