Mimi has never done RnB, her genre has always beeen pop music. Vocally, Mariah is not nearly as strong as she was 5 years ago. I don’t know what happened to her voice, but I do know she’s not the powerhouse that she once was. Nicki, like Drake, are just gimmicks. I don’t know how either of them became so “hot”. Nicki… she’s odd but I like her. I hate bubblegum female singers, but Nicki is a rapper and she has a unique flow. She really does stand out from all of the female rappers that we have had. And she has a very nice singing voice, it’s versatile and doesn’t sound anything like how she raps. I think she has potential to be crossover with mainstream, she just needs to work on her image and identity.
