Rihanna and Jay-Z perform during a taping for NBC’s New Year’s Eve With Carson Daly in New York City on Saturday (December 19), in the middle of an East Coast snowstorm.
The singer (who Entertainment Weekly recently announced has the Best Pop Album of 2009 with Rated R) will headline a New Year’s Eve concert in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

I disagree. I love the whole outfit. I like how the hat and pearls give a conservative vibe but the spikes on the necklace and the black lingerie give an edgy vibe. She always knows how to do edgy but still feminine and girly. Kind of like the pink tank in the hard video. The only issue I have is that I hate when she wears anything covering her eyes. “Best Pop Album of 2009?!” If it is the best pop album, why did it take 3 singles for people to really start enjoying it? “Wait is OVA,” and Russian Roulette were released weeks apart and garnered penny airplay, but lets stop fooling ourselves, it’s not “Umbrella” status. The album has only been out barely a month and she is on a third single. That doesn’t usually happen till about 4 months after the album is out. Entertainment Weekly is just praising Rihanna because they had a soft spot for her. Lady Gaga stomped on everybody in pop this year and we know it. I don’t hate this girl, and I do like “Hard,” but this album is not better that her last, sorry.
