Kanye West is reportedly planning to pop the question to his model girlfriend Amber Rose in early 2010.
According to the Daily Star, the rapper is rumored to be flying out to the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean early in 2010 with Amber, where he will pop the question.
“He has really bonded with her since losing his mother and needs another strong woman in his life,” a source close to Kanye said.
“He’s very serious, otherwise he wouldn’t be spending that much money on her.”
The villa West has apparently rented costs $3,500-per night.
TINA KNOWLES FILES FOR DIVORCE
TMZ reports that Solange and Beyonce’s parents split earlier this year and “ceased to live together as husband and wife on or about January 5, 2009, the day of their 30th wedding anniversary”.
Their mom, Tina Knowles, reportedly filed for divorce from their father and manager, Matthew Knowles, last month in Texas.
In October, a woman named Alexsandra Wright filed a paternity suit against Matthew, claiming to be six months pregnant with his child. However, this is unknown to have been the cause for the split.
In a statement to The Associated Press, the couple said,
“The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents, and business partners. If anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter.”

If it’s true, good for Kanye and Amber. They’ve been together for a while and seem to have a lot in common related to personality, social, and fashion / style.
Everyone seems to have so many terrible things to say about the Amber and how much he should be with the “wholesome” Alexis. People! Since he has been with Amber, he has smiled more than I have ever seen him smile. It just may be that Alexis was not the “one” for him, and that he has found someone more compatible with him in several ways. Dating someone for a long time, doesn’t mean that it will or should lead to marriage. When I think of Kanye and Alexis, I think of his song Love Lockdown and I realize that’s how it is. Anyway, it seems that Alexis is over it and keeping it moving, so we should be too.
Plus, why so many negative comments about her hair??? Not everyone has to have “hair” (i.e. long hair) to look great. I really hate that women do this to each other.
