agreed with #6 – I really don’t need to hear anymore, her album’s bought. For me, the Mary J., Maxwell, Tweet and Sade i’m pretty set. Looking to explore more smooth artists and you CL’ers always have the inside scoop – any suggestions? even if they’re not mainstream or well known, what are some other good albums that are kind on the ears? so burnt out on the bubble gum and rumpshaking music…

After Bad releases from Alicia Keys, M. Fiona, rihanna, and Beyonce…i’ve only enjoyed Mariah’s Memoiors (GREAT CD), Trey Songz (GOOD PARTY CD).

Hopefully SADE is a return to form. Sade, MAXWELL always bring the coffee table soul right into your life. LOVE SADE.

    BulletProof Soul is a classic

I hate it when artists have been gone for long periods of time and they come back and only give us 10 tracks. This is not vinyl days anymore. I’m not saying the album has to be almost 20 tracks, but at least 12. You have to give us enough for the long ass wait. I’ll probably try to find some exclusive tracks or something though.

#7, here are a few suggestions:
    - Chico Debarge had a nice CD he came out with in 2009; I would cop it
    - Teedra Moses
    - Eric Roberson
    - ChinahBlach
    - Melanie Fiona
    - Raheem Devaughn

I love real music, and am so happy to see her come back…

I had to go back and listen to my “Love is stronger than pride” song. How could I have forgotten about it? tsk tsk
Anyways, am I the only one who think Common or Andre 3000 might make great artists for the ‘Soldier of Love’ remix? Preferably Common.

its the holidays. and while surfing the stations on the radio, while i was turning corners they played the blast from the pass. the name of the song was [so far away] by carol king….. man she can sing that song….. i think if luther vandross was still w/ us and did a remake of this song he would knock it out the park…. “so far away doesn’t anybody stay in place anymore”………. happy new years ……. black folks keep your heads up the best is yet to come…

Excited about another cd featuring real musicians and singers! Can’t stand these manufactured artists who can’t even sing their own songs without a track and still can’t sing even with a track backing ‘em up. lol What a joke! Maybe the re-emergence of Maxwell and Sade (jill Scott, Ledisi, etc) is a sign that the music and the art of it is returning?

Where has she been? I don’t support artist until I’m sure they haven’t been involved in:

    1. domestic violence
    2. homewrecking
    3. illegal weapons
    4. poor fashion choices
    5. drugs/vices
    6. homoism
    7. satanic & masonic
    8. pediphilism
    9. plastic surgery
    10. divorce

Basically, all the CL hot topics! :)

    Love Sade.

Her first single has a sound similar to the music Alicia Keys created on her last and current Album. “I need you” “Wreckless Love,” “TSWABH” So I know it will be fire…
I think it is funny that people say A. Keys last and current album is garbage and I know so many people, including myself who love it. Her musicianship and creativity is so organic and classic. I am assumming the whole “homewrecker” thing has people speaking so negatively of her, well, black people unfortunately.
Anyway love Sade. Alicia mentioned she would love to work with her, now that would be a fabolous duet.

Many people don’t realize this but Sade is a group. That is why they said their first album in ten years. She has never been a solo artisist she has always been apart of a group. That is why the music itself was so banging. When her group is out doing their own thing they are called sweetback or sweatback. But I am extremely excited. I hope she and Maxwell go on tour together.
