And I think people should judge artist by the ART they create,not ALWAYS by the things that they do….Regardless of what kind of “PERSON” you may say she is,I think she makes GREAT music..and when she starts SUCKING,thats when i’ll start complaining..but who she’s doin it with is none of my business..we all are human beings,stop being so critical..thats the problem with people…so ready to TEAR down and almost never ready to HELP UP…We gotta do better.

A “Homewrecker” Keys is my girl. It’s hard for me to rock w/ her like I did back in my day cuz it’s women like her that broke my fam up. Anyways…the album is hot! I don’t think she’s gonna have any number 1 hits on this one but since she has a strong fan base, she will be aight.

Jus checked out it n umm…its definitely A. Keys style, but different. Its not like the creative joint coming-of-age of her 1st album, nor the hip hop/R&B style of the 2nd, nor the emotially raw old school 70s style of the 3rd. No this album is actually a lot like its title…thhe Element of Freedom, its like….hmm (how do i explain it)….its..more happy? Light-hearted, frilly in a way, lots of piano melodies. Its very positive in sound, maybe even too lighthearted. But its still A.Keys n it fits, str8 up dislike that Beyonce duet tho.

Waitin for Alicia to go far left field with some independent sounding classical musical/hip hop/R&B fusion for her next album thats darker and very political(we know she’s an activist). “The Black Keys” I would call it…
Her album is solid! No huge #1 hits besides that stupid song with Beyonce, but is has some amazing tracks.
The album is amazing. I don’t think it’s happy at all. The instrumentation might feel lighter to you, but her vocal delivery and the lyrics are definitely not. Especially Pray for Forgiveness. Every song just hits harder knowing what she is going through…
her private life doesn’t matter. it doesn’t change the fact that her music lackluster. i’ve been listening to that corinne song back to back and then i came to check out alicia and you can see the difference between true artistry. she’s just bland and doesn’t move me. her lyrics are so cliched and superficial. sometimes she gets it right but thats rare. she’ll do well anyway b/c most people don’t know the difference between true and fake artistry. the most cliched lyrics amaze them

Omgoodness. This album is soo hawt! I hated both of her current singles, and that trash with Beyonce. But the rest of the tracks are sooo amazing! Whoa. I’ll definitely be buying this album.

I love this album. It is very different from her others but continues from the last album, “As I Am”.–I really connected with this album.
I love this one, “The Element of Freedom” even more. She uses her voice to show emotions. She is such an amazing artist.–God gave her an incredible gift.

I don’t know, her latest singles are pure garbage..the videos are painful to look at.. I like Alicia Keys, but honestly, it seems she’s gotten away from playing the piano and using it more like a prop and gimmick in her videos and performances.. I still love Falling, Karma, You Don’t Know My Name, How Come You Don’t Call Me, If It Ain’t You, No One ( Reggae Remixes included), Superwoman..
But I can’t say that I’m feeling this CD, and while we don’t know what happened with her Swizz Beats, she sure ain’t denied none of the rumors..so I can’t support her like I used to..cause I feel she’s being hypocritical..

Alicia is pretty, but that something special is missing. Her eyes always look kind of blank, never a spark.

I loved her Worlds Aids Day concert on December 1st. She sand “Love is Blind” and “Distance and Time” along with both “Doesn’t Mean Anything and “Try Sleeping with A Broken Heart”.

I do think that she should be judged by the music she makes and not what she’s doing in her personal life. It’s just hard to get pass since she was always so empowering to us women. It just feels like she’s fake now. But i’ve always loved her music nonetheless so i will stop calling her a “Homewrecker” and judge her by her music alone. From the preview i was able to hear “Love is Blind” sounds pretty good. I do like “Try sleeping with a broken heart” tho too. Good luck Ms. Keys.

Alicia Keys is an artist constantly evolving. Her music is always relatable and mature.
To appreciate true artist, you have to know the history of music and how jazz and r&b has evolved. We will always support our music.

Thank goodness most people are focusing on the music, and not the “myths”/”truths”/”hearsay”/”word of mouth” gossip stories that are pure fodder. The music is what matters. NONE of these artists are angels. Not a one. And neither are any of us. Humans will be human. Period.
I just ordered the two disc vision of the Element of Freedom because I want the bonus tracks and the DVD.
The music is sophisticated and mature. I can relate to all her songs on his album. She know how to connect to her audience and compose beautiful music.
