The only thing that even brings JT into his league at all is Nsync..Yes the group sold 55mill, but Usher has sold over 40mill by himself…JT by himself is under 20million. Usher was named the #1 Artist Hot 100 Artist of the 2000s. As for struggling to make hits that’s not really accurate Love in this Club was his fastest single to hit #1. I mean it’s not a knock on Justin at all, I’m def a fan of his music and he may very well surpass Usher if A. Usher’s new album isn’t successful and B. Justin comes out with some good material. But based on their body of work up to this point Usher wins. Especially when you consider the quality of their work. Nsync had some good music, but I dunno if you can call it quality work.

White artists get more latitute to try different things. It’s incredibly difficult for a black female to be commercially viable singing anything other than R&B or Hip-Hop. This is in part why “I am . . . Sasha Fierce” sold so well, even though, it wasn’t that great of an album. Bey stays in her lane. Rihanna’s switched it up with the rock tracks and still managed to go platinum, and it’s a good album to boot. That’s why she gets my respect. Even though Kelis’ debut LP was basically Neptunes produced R&B, she was a breath a fresh air for her video concepts and fashions. With the exception of those tacky-ass McQueen shoes, people saying that Kelis is swagger jacking Gaga are just ignorant, because Kelis was doing the damn thing when Gaga was in grade school.
Jean Baptiste, the producer of this song says this is just a demo. This was for Kid Kudi but he passed on it. Chris Brown liked it and they wrote verses to it. Crazy how a song with no verses is getting so buzz on the internet. Even Kanye posted this on his blog lol.
