2010 must be the year of the remakes as Screen Gems takes on the 2007 British comedy Death at a Funeral with an all-star cast: Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence, Tracy Morgan, Danny Glover, Loretta Devine, Zoe Saldana, Regina Hall and Columbus Short, among others. The film hits theaters April 16th.

Repo Men Trailer
Jude Law, Forrest Whitaker and RZA star in the sci-fi thriller Repo Men about a time in the future when artificial organs can be bought on credit and a man who struggles to make the payments on a heart he has purchased. The film hits theaters April 2nd.
Though I’m sure it’ll turn out to be a bit disappointing, the first one with martin lawrence, Chris Rock, and James Marsden looks kinda funny.
I think I’m just going to pull out my blu-ray of the original, British version of “Death at a Funeral” and pass on the remake
Thats so funny, I just watched the movie Death at a funeral a couple of weeks ago and now there is a remake. Anyhow. The movie is really funny! Im going to hope with that line up, they wont dissapoint.

The remake of Death at a Funeral looks much like the original, I thought in hearing about it last year that it would be different. They’re even using the same little person from the original to play the gay lover, and clearly incorporating a few big name White actors to get a wider audience. SMH Hollywood. Can’t wait to see Takers and Repo Men.
The original “Death at Funeral” was a riot, I hope they do it justice. I think the casting of the remake is interesting. That one character is the the same guy from the original.

That “Repo Men” flick is a metaphor for the mark of the beast, that being the RFID chip. That’s why they have the barcode in the title.

I have never seen the original Death at a Funeral but I will be ordering it on Netflix so I can see it… the remake looks funny though!

All three movies look good. DAF looks the best, then Takers and last Repo Men. I haven’t seen the original, but the trailer of DAF had be rolling. I will def see that in the theatres. Can’t wait until the Spring!

Death at funeral is a remaking the english version came out not to long ago …..i thought it was kind of funny so i will check out this version of it just to see what they did differently
The Takers and Repo Men may be worth seeing. I’m leery of remakes with a line up of different stars…too many cooks in the kitchen spoils the dish, too many stars in one film is a plot for disaster.
I’ll see anything with James Marsden, Idris and Michael Ealy. So Death At a Funeral and Repo Man are a go!

Ever since Martin Lawrence went Hollywood and started making movies he hasn`t been as funny as he was on his TV series , so I think I`m going to pass on Death at a Funeral, as for Repo Man with Forrest Whitaker and RZA, it`s good to see black actors do a variety of movies like Sci-Fi, and not playing stereotypical characters in a Tyler Perry`s coon comedies.

Repo Men: I can usually deal with a lot of blood/gore in movies but this looks like a tad bit too much .. not too sure if I’m going to see this – and not because of the blood but just because it doesn’t look all that interesting.

Why does it seem like every movie that has a star cast of Blacks has to be slap stick funny or a depressing anti Black male movie? Try something new guys. I mean, I understand it is a remake and have not seen the first movie but make a better selection. I guess they identified with this (of all movies to remake) to highlight Black men being on the DL, ignorant Black behavior, Black women using white men just because. It’s getting tired.
It is a shame because I really like Martin Lawrence as a comedian but he is not making me laugh or even smile with his movies. He should stick to sitcoms maybe? or be like Chappelle and say no when these white writers are exploiting and embarrassing you.

The remake of Death at a Funeral does remind me of a Kingdom Come 2. Not sure if I want to see any of the movies. Movies with too many stars (i.e. Takers and Death at a Funeral) ends up disappointing sometimes.

The “Death At A Funeral” remake looks horrible. The best thing about british humor is it’s subtle and I can already tell they’ve fucked all over that concept which is one of the main reasons the movie (original) was so good. Plus they already told the twist (the dad being gay) so there really isn’t anything worth seeing the movie for because they basically told it all. Fucking Americans…. always shitting on foreign movies w/ your tasteless and wack remakes. Repo Men I might see because the trailer did look badass. Speaking of ass, Judah STFU.
