The clip was directed by Chris Robinson and features French model/actress, Noémie Lenoir.

The video and song are mediocre at best. I expected more since his last album wasn’t a huge success. I agree with #1. There comes a time when a celebrity’s career dims and could never be what it once was.
I like the concept of The VIDEO, Ush looks CUTE and the song is OK. But I must admit it: THE VIDEO is kind of BEYONCEISH ;( However don’t u dare compare Ush to Trey; tREY SEEMS TO BE CRYING WHEN HE SINGS SMH!!!
This should have been a buzz single. The video itself is artistic in my opinon bc there’s more than one storyline going here and it seems to shed some light on why his marriage may have failed. Let me break it down..
1.) Noemie Lenoir is playing his girl obviously — and you are kind of slow if you don’t get why she “just left”. She waited on him and he didn’t show, so she LEFT like most people would do if they got stood up. Anyway, she seems to represent a failed relationship that he never had time for due to the various pulls he experienced.. What pulls? His mutlifaceted career as 1.) an entrepreneur denoted by the various business meeting scenes; 2.) his first love music: denoted by him rehearsing with his dancers & such; and 3.) the darker side of his personality that is liable to temptation: denoted by the strip club scene & speaking with various females.
I was esp weirded out by that scene with him in an empty club and him spitting out champagne. It looked rather sad lol.
Anyway… I don’t think so much as his “career is dimming”… rather that MUSIC itself is changing. The lines between genres are becoming obsolete, and what we considered contemporary R&B has morphed into mediocre club banger songs that are “catchy”. It’s all electro & such. & Usher’s sound in general is slowly dying out… he seems one of the last few real R&B contemporaries that is really “mainstream”. Add on to the fact that he has never been the type to stay in our face like other overexposed artists in this age who release albums back to back, and that causes his younger fan base to thin out as each “new Usher incarnation” comes about (ie Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Jeremih, etc.). Add on to the fact that his public image took a beating. As a male RNB vocalist, you have to realize they base much of their career on being women’s fantasies. Being with his wife who was not accepted by the majority of his fanbase & wasn’t even famous normalized him. And once he got normalized, he lost the “appeal” for many a women and therefore “lost his spark”. I bet if he would’ve made the same “crappy” album in Here I Stand, and even came out with this song which is mediocre… but would’ve been married to one of our top female RNB starlets, everyone would still be on his d. Perception is everything in Hollywood.

This is not a song to release as a “comeback” single. I hope he follows this up with a sick video to his song “Oh My Gosh”. That really should of been his 1st single. I lost interest about :45 seconds into the video. And The song is nothing special either..more of an album filler…..USHER if you read this, release “OH MY GOSH” to save your career!

I am disappointed in Usher. I really like his sound from 1990s to 2003/2004. I do not care anymore Usher; I feel these current (and/or new) songs Usher have released aren’t grown and sexy. It just sounds like any song another artist in mainstream would sing. The music in his current songs are lacking that Usher sound; especially the ballads. I miss the ballads, Usher. My most favorite Usher song is “Can You Help Me”.
