  4. kay

i agree w/ everyone elese, riri voice wasen’t up to par for that song & meme you r to hype for no reason,, lol

  5. Adesoy

The big picture is, she did it for a good cause. But thats a classic song by a legendary artiste, a hot girl with mediocre talent should leave it alone, it really was painful and very hard to listen to as Jamaican and a fan of the king of reggae. However, its a powerful song, and for that selection, for this cause, cant fault her. I dont think he would be too upset since its for charity.

  6. cutenlovely

Ya’ll on here acting like Bob Marley was Luther Vandross or something. I heard the original and she did okay by it. it wasn’t that much to the song vocally. People just LOVE to hate this girl, well not people BLACK people and I don’t get that. A year ago everybody was singing her praises! SAD

  7. Mrs. Exclusive

She is doing this for all the right reasons but she shounds a HOTTT ASSS MESSS. She cant sing worth a dam..Goodness

  8. Mrs. Exclusive

She is doing this for all the right reasons but she sounds a HOTTT ASSS MESSS. She can’t sing worth a dam..Goodness

  9. gigi

LMFAO….this hoe MURDERED that song….in a terrible way
@ meme, uhm….rihanna’s PR, you can stfu now….stop leaving excess comments…you’re disgusting me with your asslicking
@ babatunde, neon, bored and kaye LOL…….co-sign with ALL comments
Rihanna slaves co-signing with the biggest idiot on here, ‘meme’ are a joke…..take that bs to her fansite

  10. meme

I KNOW PEOPLE HATE THIS GIRL BUT I AM SO SHOCKED AT THESE COMMENTS.

I have heard people said this performance made them cry. You can hear from her voice that this was genuine and sincere. But yet people are still going to say she is doing this publicity. Again, this is why Rihanna will FOREVER be as huge as she is. No matter what she does, its a big fuss.

  11. The Wayno Show

Love it! Props to Rihanna for supporting such a worthy cause! Bless her beautiful heart and soul.

  12. keke

@meme – it’s a big fuss b/c the girl can dress her ass off, has a great bod and parades herself as an artist who DOES NOT have a good, not even mediocre, voice. she’s out for attention at every turn, whether it benefits Haitians or not. You want to tell me that when she went on vacay with her newest woman-beater that she couldn’t have avoided the paps? ever see jay-z groping b’s ass like she let this baseball player do to her in mexico? she tries to hide her horrible voice behind pretty clothes and drama. chile please…

  13. NetworKing

I saw this on tv the other day…nice song, good meaning, but Rhianna’s voice is a no go. This song could really touched some heats if the right person sung it. Sorry…Rhianna’s voice is only good at local talent show…and barely that.

  14. Kijira

all the people crying for Miz Hill when’s the last time she’s had a rational performance?
I’m sorry I loved her too but the last time I saw her perform it was just SAD! and she’s no longer relevant but for those of us who are old enough to know who she is, lol, can she actually be trusted not to freak out on stage these days?

Rihanna is no vocal powerhouse, but she did her thing and yes I down loaded it.

That said the level of hatred over an artist doing something positive, my lord

  15. backingbarack

Wow! Oprah is endorsing this chick too? WTF?! Anything Oprah says go buy, her sheep will so this song will be purchased by millions bc Oprah commanded and all her proceeds “will go” to Haiti.

@ 15 I agree. Oprah could not get Lauryn Hill to sing this song? Really? Of course, Wyclef was there, so he would have shot that idea down.

Another thing, why is Oprah featuring Wyclef on her show and having him speak on behalf of Haiti?? Of all people to get? Why not get actual president of Haiti? Oprah has money and status and could get anyone. This is like Larry King fundraiser, all these celebrities are using this as promotion so they can be seen in a good light as “humanitarians”. Oprah kept on plugging in this telefund coming up. All that money will not get to the people who need it. Larry King raised 9 million alone from his telefund. How much more money are they going to ask from the American people who are broke, unemployed and in a depression. With Wyclef raising millions, Bush and Clinton asking for JUST CASH, Larry King, and this upcoming broadcast to raise more funds for Haiti is just proving that America is profiting from this, ie the banks and these so called organizations and people in power.

Any transaction made by a credit card and by text/phone, TRUST there is a hidden fee being taken out by the banks and phone companies. The US govt just wants to build a naval base in Haiti along with factories and plants, wait and see. This is where all the money is going. Unfortunately, people are being sacrificed for this.

  16. backingbarack

Lol @ this chick being extra dramatic like she is really doing it. She is trying way to hard with this outfit. Oprah is the queen kissing behind and licking holes. I can not stand that witch.

  17. meme

@ KEKE 72. Actually yes I have seen numerous picx of Bey and Jay on vacation where they were cuddling, maybe not to the extent that rihanna and matt did but everyone express emotions different. Obviously Jay and Bey are not affectionate in public considering they are married and dont even hold hands. Rihanna is 21, on vacation, with her man. Who give a F if the pops around, she living her life. Call attentioning whoring if you want, but how dare you gullible people come on here and talk down on here when she is doing something for a cost.

Rihanna never claimed to be the best singer in the world. But the girl ALWAY makes her best efford. Obviously her voice range is limited, OKAY, she cant change that. Yes, she can take voice lessons, but her is her voice. So what you want her to do, STOP SINGING AND HAVE NO CAREER? You people are crazy. Again, just because you don’t listen to her doesnt mean other around the world don’t

  18. meme

@75 BackingBarack…Man concreteloop has some slow ignorant jackazz reader. WHY IS ORPAH USING WYCLEF AND NOT THE PRESIDENT OF HAITI? Answerin this question…who do you think the general pulblic would pay more attention to… THE BIGGEST SUPERSTARS or some creole speaking politician from Haiti? Like seriously, why are black people so negative and dumb.

I swear im done. last comment.

  19. READ DUMMIES

NO MEME keep the comments coming lol! The idiots need to see them. The non-fans need to get a life. Rihanna LOOKED GOOD AND SOUNDED GOOD. Guarantee she raises MILLIONS WITH HER BELIEF FOUNDATION which is geared towards helping kids. So many little orphans and displaced children in Haiti right now would be grateful for WHAT SHE DID AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO FOR THEM. I’m happy for the celebs that are stepping up. There are other celebs with MUCH MORE MONEY than Rihanna and we haven’t heard a word out of them *cough* the 86 MILLION DOLLAR WOMAN. I guess buying SHOES AND WIGS is more important to some people. You would think the CREOLE heifer would feel compassion for Haiti. Don’t downplay Rihanna’s efforts when you haven’t done sh!t to help Haitians. AT LEAST SHE IS HELPING OTHERS. What is your fav doing? NOTHING AS USUAL.

  20. meme

@ 79 Readdummies. Even tho I am a rihanna fan I must add that that Beyonce (I know thats who your talkin about) has done her share, she donated 500,000 plus she is performing as well, so yea. But I came to the conclusion that all these people here like Backingobama are Chris brown fans. They hating on Oprah and rihanna, its so obvious. People need to get over it. or better yet, stay on it…its keeping rihanna a hot topic and revelant, so keep on it. Thanks!

  21. CRAMPED

@79 – Just because the creole heifer isnt on Oprah ‘singing’ doesnt mean she hasnt donated or isnt making any efforts to help the haitians. She has donated millions to charities but doesnt feel the need to have them publicized!

BTW Good on rihanna for her efforts, BUT I cant help thinking that this is some damn great promo for her album. Shame on her and her handlers if it so.

  22. S.X.

very nice performance and for a great cause

  23. 201

She has good intentions, but she sounded horrible. That song wasn’t for her voice. She is a brand e.g Janet Jackson. She can’t sing, but she is marketable. If you have that “IT” factor you can be a star. We can hate as much as we want, but at the end of the day people are still going to be tracking her next move.

  24. FRAGILE FIRE

Does not matter who sang it, the fact i that the message is getting out there, its not a talet contest! People are dying! Peacing out and sending Love, Light and Healing to Haiti!!xxx

  25. wifematerial

studio one sounds better then her singing live….but all her stuff sounds better studio versus live.

  26. Mrs. sk8board P (ak & bk stan)

those vocals are still HORRID, but she looks pretty and I guess it can be overlooked b/c it was for a good cause.

    Oprah is so FAKE!

  27. A&E girl(help Haiti!)

Oh Rihanna stans! honestly guys, did you REALLY believe that was a good vocal performance? ???????

I don’t think so, but I’m glad she’s doing what she’s able to to help Haiti!

    Maxwell is so genuine.

  28. taylordswag

she murdered that song. she looked great and that was the best performance of her in my opinion i could really feel it!

  29. I LOVE THIS GAME

OUTSTANDING , OUTSTANDING ,,,,,,RIH IS SUCH A POWERFUL SPEAKER AND I COULD REALY SEE , THAT HER HEART ! !!! !!! WAS in That song , I was touched .

  30. Brian

OMG she is one of the worst singers in the game…If I was Bob Marley I would sue her for F*ckin up his song…She is a disgrace to the music industry

  31. backingbarack

@ MeMe You are clearly speaking of how dumb you are. I mean you are a faithful Rihanna fan, that is expected. Do not speak for the public, YOU are the one that is interested in superstars and Rihanna and would not tune in if the actual ambassador of Haiti to the US or President of Haiti was interviewed on Oprah. You do not want the facts, you exalt in the ignorance and apathy of following and tuning in to see Rihanna destroy a Bob Marley song. Heck, I would even accept an interview of Aristide and his opinion on this mess. Get off of Rihanna’s strapon and educate yourself, fool.

  32. Suga Mama

I actually like her when she sings with her accent and does reggie music, I hate that pop crap she does.

  33. blackbeauty

    @MEME
Stop hanging off of rihanna’s pussy hairs. you feenin madd hard.

  34. Dellyboo

I was moved by the lyrics of the song. Whether Rhinnqa did a good or bad job of the song … we need to focus on the lyrics. Black people in the 21st centry is still suffering from mental slavery … I can bet if it was Kelly Clarkson or Taylor Swift song that song you ..you all be “”o woow! that was really lovely”.

  35. ***Kay Kay***

Love the song, but Rih sounds terrible to me. Great cause, but to me could have been done better. This is one of Bob’s many greatest hits and to me, she did not do it justice…sorry.

  36. truthfullyspeaking

I find it funny how we’re only hearing about Rihanna “helping Haiti” when it involves getting promotion. I HATE those concerts about raising awareness as well. Some may be a free concert for the people, but the singers still GET PAID FOR THEIR APPEARANCES! I get the point that celebs can use their fame to raise awareness, but that’s very shallow and unnecessary. We the people, need to do what we can to help Haiti by donating or even adopting /taking care of some of the children who’ve came here, while their home is being reconstructed.

I don’t get what’s the point in singing when you should just be out there helping! This is not just for Rihanna, but for all the singers who are suddenly making a meaningful song. We have CNN, Fox News, newspapers, magazines, ect that are constantly updating us about Haiti, we don’t need any celebs using their fame to suddenly “raise awareness.” I just found out that billions of dollars is going over there right now. All I want to happen is for the celebs to donate millions and millions of dollars to Haiti…. and for the government to keep on helping the country. Also, WHY IS AMERICA THE ONLY ONE HELPING THIS COUNTRY? MAYBE SOME OTHER COUNTRIES ARE ABOUT TO HELP BUT LAST TIME I CHECKED IT WAS ONLY US! China, who we’ve borrowed trillions of dollars from recently, and Europe need to HELP!

  37. emily

    @ read dummies
How much did your dumbass donate? The computer you’re using is not even yours gtfoh. Beyonce has done her part…she aready donated….get the f*ck off her cl*t and keep worshipping hoeanna and her no talent behind
F*cking idiot. This is why we can’t stand you idiots
Just because she didn’t publicise it doesn’t mean she didn’t do anything…Get your facts straight before exposing your foolishness.

  38. emily

    oh and ‘nothing as usual’?!
Wow, you couldn’t be wronger than you alreeady are….I’d love to post all the charities and good causes she’s supported but i’ll just be wasting my time degrading myself to your extremely low level of reasoning. There’s no point….and your screename should be changed to ‘I’m a dummy’…just saying

  39. carib

@ms thing and her small island comment. The last time I checked, Jamaica was not the biggest island in the west indies. All that talk about other islands being small should be coming from the Cubans, because they are bigger than Jamaica, and Hispanola as well. However you never hear cubans calling other islands small island, only you jamaicans. Somehow you guys think claiming this big island crap makes you holier than thou, but all it does is make other islands look at you guys like wtf. Please with that Crap. As an islander, I am proud of anyone out of the islands that is trying to make it out here. There is hardly much of us doing big things, so we should support and uplift instead of trying to be devisive with the your from this island, and my island is better crap. Rihanna did good with Redemption song. NO one will sing it like bob, but she held her own, and did well. Every thing she sings have to come up for critique. I never see people do that to anyone else but rihanna, even with what’s going on in haiti, and with all the stars coming out to help, yet itsonly rihanna getting blamed for doing it for publicity, and not the others.

  40. Diamond Latrelle

RIHANNA SOUNDED SOMEHWAT OK SINGING THE SONG LIVE. BUT THE RECRODED TRACK DOESN’T SOUND TOO GOOD

  41. CHUA

There is a reason I call her Rihorrid! LMAO-She really cannot sing! Beauty goes a long way in America!

SHE WAS REALLY GOOD MAKES ME LOVE HER AGEN!!!

  43. READ DUMMIES

    @ Emily

Lmao @ you catching e-feelings over Beyonce. Are you A BLOOD RELATIVE OF HERS? If not STFU. You claim this is why you hate us I’M GUESSING YOU MEAN RIHANNA FANS but you turn around and call Rihanna HOEANNA. That makes you a big old HYPOCRITE to talk sh!t about Rihanna when she is here doing something for other people. FYI not only have I donated money but I ALSO WORK FOR C.A.R.E. We ACTUALLY DO WORK THERE ON THE GROUND NOT JUST WRITING CHECKS BUT THE ACTUAL HANDS ON WORK. So sit your idiotic Beyonce worshipping azz down somewhere. Get your facts straight before you try to check somebody little girl.

  44. I see you aiming at my pedestal

Rihanna looked gorgeous here (as usual). She didn’t disappoint with her performance. The stupid people making ugly comments are the same ones that always have something stupid to say. You just don’t like her voice so why would you listen to her sing? If you’re waiting for her to sound like old school Whitney Houston you are wasting your time. Her voice is unique and original. She sings the way she sings. Either you love it or hate it. Either way she is helping Haiti. That is what matters at the end of the day.
& hoeanna is just childish as hell @ Emily. Grow the hell up.

  45. i love this GAME

@96 ASS HOLE ,,,,KNOW ONE , BUT PPL ,,,,LIKE DOCTORS , militery trained , Red CROSS ,,, AND PPL THAT is specialized in crisis response…. SHOULD BE ON GROUND in Haiti .

This is not a Game ,,,Rih was outstanding , and SHE SONG THAT SONG WITH CONVICTION AND ,,,,,,it WAS FELT AROUND THE WORLD .

ASSLICKER’S GET A LIFE , AND STOP THE HATE .

  46. emily

    @ i’m a dummy
are you hoeanna’s sister? why’s my comment making you cry?
sit yo ass down and go play with your hoeanna doll

  47. CAT'S MEOW

Did you see Oprah standing there cringing? Her face is saying “I hope I don’t have to purchase all these downloads” – lmao.

She truly is the black Britney Spears – trainwreck with no talent. Her last album – if there were 15 songs – 10 were Britney’s that she didn’t record or use.
