KELLY ROWLAND PREPS THIRD SOLO EFFORT
Fresh of the heels of a hot new photoshoot with famed celebrity photographer, Derek Blanks, former Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland is already hard at work on her third studio album.
It seems like producer, Jim Jonsin is dropping all the hot details about upcoming albums, considering that he’s working with everyone this year! She’s been working with he and Rico Love, the duo responsible for Bey’s “Sweet Dreams.” They’ve completed four songs together.
“She’s doing a pop-house and R&B sound, like a mixture,” Jim says. “It’s really cool. Some uptempo stuff, some ballads, all around really nice — more like a Donna Summer sound.”
In addition to working with Rico and Jim, Kelly, who is said to be channeling Donna Summer this time around, will also reteam with famed DJ and producer, David Guetta (whom she made #1 magic with on the single, “When Love Takes Over”). She is also said to collaborate again with long-time friend, Nelly.
Rowland, who recently parted ways with Mathew Knowles, currently doesn’t have a label home, however she is in talks with a couple of labels, specifically, Universal Motown.
