Jagged Edge is back in the studio, working on their seventh album, The Remedy. It’s been since 2007′s Baby Makin’ Project since the boys have released an album.
Here’s some fruits of their labor, with the new track, “You Look Good With Me,” one of the tracks recorded for the new album, which will be their first venture through Slip ‘N Slide/Five 81 Records. The new album is set to hit stores May 18th.
Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams announced this week that she has decided to part ways with Mathew Knowles and Music World Entertainment. The 29-year-old released an official statement via her publicist:
“After much prayer and consideration I have decided to part ways from my management team, Mathew Knowles and Music World Entertainment. From my time in Destiny’s Child to my solo career, I am grateful for everything Mathew and his team has done for me. We’ve shared great success together. However, as I move in a new direction in my career, I felt it was time. I wish Mathew Knowles and the Music World Entertainment family all the best.”
In related news, Michelle will reprise her role as Roxie Hart in the Tony Award-winning hit musical CHICAGO for a seven-week limited engagement, starting Monday, February 8 – Sunday, March 28 at the Ambassador Theatre. Williams also maintains her stake as a minority owner of the WNBA team, Chicago Sky.
Speaking of the Knowles, Beyonce recently revealed to USA Today that she planned on taking a 6 month break from recording her new album this year:
It’s definitely time to take a break, to recharge my batteries,” she tells USA Today. “I’d like to take about six months and not go into the studio. I need to just live life, to be inspired by things again. I want to go to restaurants, maybe take a class, see some movies and Broadway shows.” She also plans to spend more time with her 5-year-old nephew, Daniel, son of her sister Solange. “He’s a wonderful kid, amazing, so smart. And I spoil him, so it’s a lot of work. He’s a 24-hour job.”
“It will be the hardest thing in the world for me to make myself not do an album and shoot a video and turn it in and say, ‘I’m ready!’” she confesses. “I already have all these melodies and ideas in my head. I have to tell myself, ‘Sit down! Sit down!’ [SOURCE]

For his third solo effort “Ollusion”, former B2K member Omarion wants his fans to know that he is all grown up. Gone are his boy band days and cutesy lyrics about crushes. Almost forgotten are the indecisiveness of hits like ‘Icebox,’ as O takes us on a journey into his manhood. Not only has he grown up on this record but is secure in showing off his needs and wants, in a relationship.
The first stage in his metamorphosis comes by way of the lead single “Get It In.” O’s voice is almost recognizable as he sways in and out of the dance beat calling on the assistance of auto-tune (which is puzzling because that’s usually reserved for singers lacking in the vocal department.) Though the track definitely bubbles it fails to actually come to a complete boil on the scale of extreme hotness.
