R&B singer Keyshia Cole has confirmed her engagement to basketball star Daniel ‘Boobie’ Gibson this week. The duo are also expecting their first child (a son) later this year.
Cole, 28, and the Cleveland Cavaliers player, 23, became engaged on New Year’s Eve.
Her spokesperson has confirmed the baby news after weeks of speculation, adding the proposal was “an absolute surprise”.
“When he asked her to marry him, she was flabbergasted. He presented her with the ring and her mouth dropped in amazement. It’s too beautiful for words.” [SOURCE]
Cole and Gibson have been dating for less than a year.

Singer Jarell “Boog” Houston (formerly J-Boog of B2K) released a statement on Wednesday, (January 6th) to clear up his recent arrest.
The 24 year-old says he wasn’t arrested on domestic violence charges but for traffic violations and wanted to thank his fans for the support. Read below:
“I wanted to reach out to my fans right away to clear up the allegations circulating the web. I did not get charged with any form of domestic violence against the mother of my children. I love and respect all of the women in my life and would never harm any of them. Domestic violence is a very serious matter and one that should be treated that way, however this was not a case of domestic abuse. I was taken into custody due to outstanding traffic violations. I took care of the situation, no charges were filed, and I was released Tuesday evening. Thank you to my fans who stood by me regardless of any circulating rumors. WOW! He is 23? While she is 28? I hope for her sake he is a MATURE 23. Because if he is one of those “IMMATURE” 23 year olds, he may get tired of her REAL QUICK. As for J-BOOG. B2K was the greatest thing to ever happen to all of the members of that group. For B2K to break up was the WORST THING to ever happen to that group. OMARIAN had some HOT songs as a SOLO artist, but I dont think he was as successful as he & his manager THOUGHT he’d be having gone SOLO. & the rest of the members “TRIED”.
They need to get back together as B2K & go on TOUR. Theyd all be successful again.
