I heard about this show, when Raphael Saadiq came to speak at NYU. He was also a producer for this show (hence why his song “Love That Girl” is the theme song, lol).
Yes, Martin Lawrence had a hand in producing as well. I hope this is funnier. Sometimes even the first season may be rough, but might get better. Can we say A Different World? lol.

I’m so happy Tatyana Ali is back. I still love her album, Kiss the Sky. I’ve always liked females that were “wholesome” as you would say that didn’t have that neck-snapping-ghetto-pookie-n-them- vibe. She always seemed to me well-mannered and not into the “hollyweird” fast lifestyle like most of celebs. GOOD FOR HER!

The production team needs to be fired for this. Wow, everything looks cheap. From the set, to the outfits, the jokes to the folks on here. The acting is a horror. This will last one season, guaranteed! Martin truly fell off. WTF! Seriously with these stereotypical characters? I mean, the ghetto girls name, accent, and hair piece is atrocious and not even funny. The gays entrance, clothing, femme voices are offensive. Don’t get me started on the afrocentric girl. I mean what is up with creativity these days? Tatyana Ali is not a great actress at all. She should stick to hosting that show on BET.
I watched the show and it’s not the same comedy calibur as “Martin”. Maybe Mr. Lawrence should start writing on the show, cause it is TOTALLY NOT FUNNY. With less than a handful of scripted black primetime shows we have got to come better than that!!!!!

I am a Tatyana Ali fan, so I was really hoping this show would be half way decent, even though I suspected it wouldn’t be after reading the premise, and sadly I was proven right.

OK, SO I TOOK THE ADVICE OF MAMI MAGAZINE AND CHECKED OUT BUPPIES, AND IT IS ACTUCALLY PRETTY DARN GOOD. THE CAST CAN ACTUALLY ACT, AND THE STORYLINE IS REALLY INTERESTING.
NOW THIS IS A SHOW I WOULD WATCH! I WISH IT HAD BEEN PROMOTED MORE. I THINK IT WOULD HAVE DEFINITELY ATTRACTED A LOT OF VIEWERS AND SUPPORT. I HOPE TO SEE MORE OF BUPPIES, AND NOT SO MUCH LOVE THAT GIRL.

It says at the end of the clip that the show was created by Bentley Kyle Evans. If I remember correctly, he was in “House Party” with Martin and he played the h*mosexual dude on “Martin” that would pop up about once every 2 seasons to come on to Martin. It’s pretty clear that Martin “produced” (put his name on the show and greenlighted it) as a favor to his dude. It’s just funny to me that these shows are configured to be blueprints for this society; clownish black men, exalted h*mosexuals, and “strong black women” with jobs that they can’t do but they’re allowed to have lol. Just the fact that Martin appears in all these Disney films and can greenlight a show tells me that he has been put under the programming. That episode a few years ago with Martin waving the pistol in the middle of the highway was him probably either breaking out of his programming or attempting to stop them from programming him. Either way, he failed. Believe it or not, these people’s careers are as scripted as their movies, and it’s no coincidence that he and Will Smith’s breakout movie was titled “Bad Boys”. That was the reward for all of Martin’s crossdressing on his show, and Will playing “Horus/Loki” on “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” (“Belair” is another name for Satan), and a h*mosexual (his real self) in “6 Degrees of Separation (of Will Smith’s buttocks)”.
Then again Tatyana Ali came up through “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” as well so Will Smith’s hand is probably somewhere in there as well. He could’ve given Martin Lawrence a heads up to give her a role. Many of these black females in Hollywood that exclusively date white men i.e. Tatyana Ali, Eve, etc. do so just to keep themselves relevant and with a little money in their pocket in case they cannot get a role. She’s probably MK-ULTRA anyway.

Raphael Saadiq’s music is great. Phil Morris is good, as usual. The rest of the show, not so much. The portrayals of the ghetto girl and the gay guys are straight offensive. I hope they get it together. The kidney donor show was well-intentioned though. Tatyana may just be warmin up….
Its not a conspiracy theory, its just a bad show, period. A bad show put together by blacks, not some Caucasian “takeover”. Geez.
This show sucks! Martin Lawrence needs to really take a look at who is advising him to take on these projects. (BIG MOMMA’S HOUSE 3, WILD HOGS 2?? (thank God disney woke up and cancelled that monstrosity before it tanked at the B.O.)
