She is going to OWN that award show and with the year she’s had, I would be surprised if she wins anything less than 6-7 awards, wouldn’t be AT ALL surprised if she sweeps either. She has def come into her own and still has a stable mindset and head on her shoulders. Thank GOD for her having people around her to keep her grounded because this could have so easily went a different direction.

but yes I wonder if she really is worth calling legendary or the greatest not all her music is good qaulity and IM NOT HATING im just stating the obvious some of her work could have been way better. She does give her all in her performances and her other work but i would rather say she’s the most exposed she is damn near everywhere, she’s a great singer performer and all but worth the title of great or legendary thats kind of stretch IMO.
Congrats to her, I’m sure she will win at least 3. But I really hope the Album of the Year goes to Dave Mathews Band or Lady Gaga. However, “Halo” is a great song for Record of the Year. But I truly can’t wait for her 6 month break. I am not a Beyonce hater, I have all her albums, I just think we all could use a break from her, just for a minute so we can enjoy some other talent.
For those who are saying she would be the 1st lady to win 5 grammies in one nite I would recommend you look that up. There is a lady named Lauryn Hill who has accomplished that already. This lady has enough accomplishments where you don’t have to make up stuff for her. She is not the greatest performer ever she is not even the greatest now. She is just the most over exposed. I say go sisters for hers but lets not confused quantiy with quality.

How exactly is beyonce overexposed? I dont understand it, I mean, the girl releases singles just like the rest of those artists, I only see her touring for a year, see her at events where she is nominated big or perform (not a lot, BET & MTV) or is honoured! I dont see pix walkin everyday in the streets, I dont see her callin the papz to catch a pic, I really dont! Just because she is successful at what she does, she is overexposed now? I just dont get it specially when ppl like Janet, Whitney, Mariah, Madonna and such are still there! Beyonce’s dad is on the Grammy committee so of course she is going to take away a huge amount of awards. I won’t even congratulate her for those nominations because her father was behind it. But whatever, I don’t get caught up in idolizing and worshiping people like most of these people commenting on here.
I don’t think she will sweep them. I’m a fan and will be tuning in as well, but again, she won as many as she did back in 2004 for 1 SONG, and this yet again is another repeat, she is nominated mostly/will win off of 1 SONG. The sad thing is all the attention would make you think that the albums were hot, and I AM.. especially was probably her worst out of the bunch.
beyonce is a very talented entertainer. but to call her the greatest or legendary at the moment is premature. i just look at the competition, or lack there of, and say that she is the best exposed black female artist out there. hell, she IS her only competition because every major record label is wanting the next beyonce. they don’t care what you sound like, due to studio enhancements, just as long as you are pretty, look good half naked and can shake yo’ ass like a tailfeather. and to be perfectly honest, beyonce without make-up is not all that attractive. if you saw the natural beyonce in the mall or at a mcdonalds and she wasn’t famous, you probably wouldn’t pay her any attention….

Lord please forgive me for what I am about to say, but I hate Beyonce Knowles. I think she is the most overrated and overexposed artist of this generation. Must be nice to get rewarded for being a video whore, liar and cheater.
First, let me say, this arguement is getting old.
I remember when she did a Diary episode for MTV. This was when Destiny’s Child’s “Writing On The Wall” CD came out. She said, and I quote: “I’m going to ride this out as long as I can, cause when I get to be about 30, I DON’T WANNA WORK!”
I laughed at that cause I knew what she meant and I said then, this girl is gonna do the damm thing. I also knew that if you are a performer, unless you stop to do something else, you are going to keep going and going. Look at Tina, Cher, Madonna etc…
Here it is 10 years later, and she is. Yes she is overexposed, but seriously, in every generation there is a person or group who dominates a chart. It’s Beyonce at the moment.
To keep arguing over this is pointless. Beyonce thrills some and bores others. It’s how the flow is going at the moment.

Beyonce has charisma and that is what makes her a legend. While she has VERY good voice , vocally she is not on the same level as Mariah, Whitney, Aretha but then those three are one of kind so thats not a knock on Beyonce. The thing about Beyonce is the combination of beauity, good vocal ability, energy and stage presence.
